Tutto è iniziato con una perdita di segnale inaspettata. Ho chiamato Lycamobile Italia così tante volte per questo problema, che tutto ciò che hanno potuto fare è stato un aggiornamento della rete, che non ha funzionato. Ho dovuto riavviare il telefono ogni volta che succedeva. A volte, 5 volte al giorno, e ora anche il riavvio non funziona. Inizialmente Lycamobile mi ha fatto pensare che il problema fosse il mio iPhone, che è ancora in garanzia. Ho controllato tutto, l'iPhone funziona bene.
Ora, non ho più segnale sul mio dispositivo nemmeno dopo il riavvio.
Quando ho chiesto loro un'altra eSIM, l'operatore mi ha detto che dovevo andare in un negozio locale e acquistare la SIM fisica o la eSIM e che non potevano aiutarmi.

Now, my iphone's eSIM no longer detects any networks.
It all started with an unexpected loss of signal. I called Lycamobile Italy so many times about this problem that all they could do was update the network, which didn't work. I had to restart my phone every time it happened. Sometimes, five times a day, and now even restarting doesn't work. Initially, Lycamobile made me think the problem was with my iPhone, which is still under warranty. I checked everything, and the iPhone works fine.
Now, I no longer have signal on my device, even after restarting.
When I asked them for another eSIM, the operator told me I had to go to a local store and buy the physical SIM or eSIM, and that they couldn't help me.
Never trust Lycamobile; their customer service is terrible.

Don't waste your time, energy and money on Lyca. I agree with EVERY review posted (one star). They are all rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. I purchased the Lyca 5G 200 €9.99 which included unlimited calls/sms and EU roaming (13gb) however l was unable to text, receive calls/make calls. The only way l could send/receive messages was with wifi, even though my iMessage was not activated and those l was messaging were not using iMessage. I called Lyca after the first day and explained my situation. The consultant was so rude and unhelpful that l asked to speak to a supervisor. Of course the excuse was given to me, the supervisor is in a meeting and will call me back within 24 hours, this did not occur. I called every day thereafter (8 times a day) but never got through. I sent an email and received no response. I continued calling each day, all day until l got through on the 14th day. The consultant was more rude than the first. I requested a full refund but was advised that l could not get one because l had used it for 14 days. What a joke....... l reported the issue on day 2 of purchasing the sim/plan. I paid for a service so l expect that service to be provided, especially the basics of messaging and calls. When l requested the refund l was advised that l would receive a call within 5 business days, it's now 14 business days and have not heard a thing and my plan expires in 2 days. I am now in Malta and am unable to message/call anyone even though they are part of the EU. Lyca also tried to push the problem back onto the store where l purchased the sim/plan (a third party). I was told that as a result from purchasing it from a store and paid cash, l may not be able to get a refund . I argued that this 3rd party is selling a Lyca product and representing Lyca which means Lyca is responsible for any issues that occur. The supervisor tried to deny any responsibility. As l said, and many others have too, don't go with Lyca, it's not worth the headache and the last thing you want to do on holidays is make calls to a telephone company that are miserable, rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. I have always gone with Vodafone in the previous years and NEVER had a problem but someone mentioned Lyca and l thought l would give them a try..... a BIG MISTAKE.....
Please don’t think that when Lyca reply on your review and apologise, saying they will look into it, they don’t. They show that they care on the reviews but it’s all show. In actual fact, if the service you paid for worked and if the consultants did their job in the first place there would not be any negative reviews. DON’T go anywhere near them!!!!

I’ve had an absolutely awful experience with Lyca Mobile Italia. I was without my number for over a month, and only after posting a review here I have got some attention. Until then, I was completely ignored.
There is no real Italian customer service. It’s incredibly frustrating. I spent weeks sending tons of emails, spent hours on the phone, and ended up buying two different eSIMs based on the incorrect advice from their customer service. To this day, I haven’t received any refund for those.
Eventually, I got my number back — but here’s the kicker: even though my plan includes unlimited calls and texts, I’m being charged for every single call, both outgoing and incoming, while I’m abroad.
To make it worse, I never signed up for email marketing, but I receive spam emails from Lyca Mobile every single day.
Avoid Lyca Mobile at all costs.

Worst experience ever with an esim. Spent one hour trying to register the esim, the website kept on crashing and I was asked a million questions, I had to upload various documents and submit all my personal details in order to just activate the esim. After all this process, the activation code is not working. I have tried to reach the customer service by email, phone and on the website, and I was not able to get in touch with anybody. I would truly not recommend.

My mother travelled to Italy only to find that her internet connection would not work. I have called Lyca 5 times to get the issue resolved but to no avail. Despite requests for a technical person to call me, nobody has. Three separate tickets have been opened and each time they close the ticket claiming the ticket has been resolved when it has not. You end up having to repeat yourself over and over again. Appalling customer service.

if I can give 0 stars I wouldn't hesitate. I absolutely don't recommend this service. I have requested a new SIM and was unable to scan the QR code after activation. As a foreign student, being left without a mobile line or internet for over 48 hours is absolutely unacceptable. I am now trying to buy a differnet sim from another company.

I purchased esim through lycamobile app. They sent me a qr code thru email. I didn't scanned it yet before I submitted the registration process of my personal data. But almost 24hrs I've waited there's no confirmation for my registration. And till now I can't use my esim. It's so frustrating.

I chose to use Lycamobile whilst staying temporarily in Italy as I have had excellent experience using them whilst on holiday in the UK. Everything was straightforward until I tried to activate the sim. I phoned customer services several times on different days, with always the same results, I was either cut off, or after 30 minutes of waiting, I hung up. Eventually, on Saturday morning, I got through to JOSE, in the Philippines. He was great and had my problem sorted in no time. So, for now, I am happily using Lyca.

Not a reliable company. Be very careful when purchasing a sim card for EU roaming. I purchased a 10gb sim card from a merchant, asking twice to verify it would work with roaming throughout the EU. When I put it in, it did not work. Customer support was not contactable. From my online research, this appears to be the modus operandi of this company (scam on EU roaming & have no customer support).
I briefly considered upgrading to a bundle and just soaking another 2x the cost I had already paid, but upon downloading the app and investigating, they make you top up before buying a bundle, but unless you enter a secret "saver" mode by texting saver to 2525, it costs 2x as much. Also, in the fine print, it says that all bundles must be activated in the Netherlands within 2 weeks... This means if you're traveling, you would need to return to the Netherlands to activate it, which means abandoning your trip. Not at all impressed with this company. I am planning to simply accept a while longer before I can get a different SIM card, I fully intend to dispute this card transaction when I can, and I fully intend to report this company to the Dutch Consumer Protection agency at consuwijzer.nl

The many negative reviews reflect the reality of a company bordering on the fraudulent side.
1) False advertising: They say they offer 4G, but in actual fact they offer LTE, which is not 4G. It’s an older technology, slower and less reliable. They should be transparent about this.
2) Their plans are “cryptic” and there’s no clear and detailed information about pricing and options.
I have paid €19.99 for a 3-month prepaid plan and I got a message asking me to top up at least €5 to activate my plan. Is this an error or hidden charges?
3) I’ve tried to contact support via email several times: no response whatsoever, except an automated message saying we’ll respond ASAP.
4) Their App is a joke. It makes one go round in circles trying to find information. The credit card details are saved even though no specific authorisation to do so has been granted by me.
Trying to remove the card triggers a warning/threatening message saying the plan may be cancelled.
5) There’s no information anywhere about how to set up a hot spot on a phone. The default settings only provide for mobile data. Requests for information or clarification go unanswered.
My advice to anyone considering Lycamobile in Italy is stay away from it, look elsewhere. At this stage they’re not behaving as an honest, reliable and responsible company.

They have one of the worst and slowest customer services I have ever experienced. Contacting them is only possible via email because their hotline is almost always unavailable. For legal issues like mine, there are no alternatives to email since they have no customer care branches around Milan, and they respond after a week to each email requesting a small and silly detail on each reply that could have been clearly mentioned in the first response to my issue. I've been trying to port my number to a new company for over a month and a half now. What a cancerous treatment. Avoid this garbage company at all costs.

Go with Iliad instead. I requested an eSim, QR code did not work, the email they sent me was even flagged as not safe and the only document I got was a picture of their logo in the email. I email them over 5 times to get support on the eSim, called them just to find out that I could not request a new QR code so I just lost my money.
