To address the aspects you have pointed out:

• Regarding the color mismatch between the Edit Data wizard and the Style Pane, I understand how that can be frustrating. The Edit Data wizard offers a set of standard colors for quick selection, but if you're customizing colors beyond the default options, the changes may not carry over seamlessly when working directly on the timeline. To ensure consistency, I recommend using the Style Pane for most of your color customizations, where you can also use the “Apply to all” feature to quickly edit multiple elements at once. • As for the duration options, the add-in’s default setting for the timeline scale is to show only business days. However, you can easily configure your timeline to include calendar days by adjusting the timeline scale to account for weekends. Once you make that adjustment, enabling the “Show duration” option from the Style Pane will reflect both business and weekend days. The step-by-step guide below explains the process in detail:

1. Custom timescale settings: We understand the need for more flexibility with the timescale settings. Currently, Office Timeline allows you to set the timeline scale based on your organization's fiscal year, even if it starts in a month other than January. You can easily configure this feature to show your custom fiscal year on the timescale. For detailed instructions, please refer to our support article below. While the specific feature to cut the timescale off at any desired point isn't available yet, we will take your suggestion into consideration for future updates.

2. Selecting multiple items in Data view: At present, multiple item selection is not possible within the Data view. However, you can move several objects at once directly on the slide. Simply use Shift + Click to select all the timeline elements you wish to reposition, ensuring you only include objects of the same type (e.g., only task bars or only milestone dates). You can then drag and drop the selected items into their new position. After making these changes, click the Accept button on the Office Timeline ribbon to save your edits. For more complex customizations that are not supported, it's best to apply these manual changes last, once your graphic is final.

3. Improving Smartsheet connection performance: We are aware that the Smartsheet connection process can sometimes be laggy. To streamline this, Office Timeline allows you to refresh your PowerPoint timeline with updated Smartsheet data using the Refresh Data wizard. This feature maintains a link to your original Smartsheet, enabling quick updates without repeating the initial import steps. We are thrilled to know that the tool brings value to your work as a product/project manager and that you are pleased with its interface and usability which allow you to easily create and update your PowerPoint roadmap slides.

With regards to the missing aspects that you have pointed out:

• The ability to move multiple items simultaneously in Timeline View – it is true indeed that this is not possible in Timeline View. However, you can perform this action directly on your slide. Simply press CTRL and select all the item-associated shapes you want to move and then drag and drop them into the new position. After you do this, don’t forget to click “Accept changes” on the Office Timeline ribbon, so that the changes are saved and the timeline is adjusted accordingly (i.e., the milestone/task titles are moved along with their corresponding shapes).

• Maintaining multiple slides with different views but sharing the same data in the background – this is also possible by duplicating the initial slide (which should offer the most comprehensive view of your data) as many times as necessary (depending on the number of perspectives you want to provide to your audience), and then by using the add-in’s Hide functionality. This feature will allow you to filter your information and leave only the details you want to be displayed, without deleting them.
