I updated the Office Timeline software as part of my license renewal in August 2024. The feature to save my format to a template is no longer available. I found this feature very useful to share format across teams for consistent look, and am disappointed that it went away.

I don't like the colors in "edit data" don't match the color in style pane. I have to reselect the color in style pane after I edited the data. I don't like that there's no calendar days option for duration, it only offers business days.

The company has the worst support that I have ever experienced. The ribbon does not show up after the purchase. I asked their support for help one week ago. Very little support is provided for 1 week through emails. The support person named Adrian suggested a Team meeting to help. After pushing out the dates for a few days, he did not show up to the meeting that was set up. It is really unbelievable to provide this type of company support, not a small business.

There are a few features I would like to see added:
1. The timescale settings autoadjusts to the contents displayed in the timeline. It would be great to be able to cut the timescale off wherever I want and have it just cut through any activities that go beyond.
2. Would be great to be able to select multiple items in the data view to move around.
3. I connect to smartsheet and this is generally a very laggy process--anything to reduce that would be greatly appreciated.

Every time I run powerpoint, I have to digit again the activation code. It looks like a reset is set and this is annoying.

Gives you the ability to put a lot of information into a slide that is understandable and visual. Easy to use and tailor to specific needs.

Still having issues with the program remembering the activation code,
The options for me to use are not conducive to what I need & I have to make so many edits that take forever not seeing the value

I just updated my Timeline Pro+ from version 7 to the current version 8.
I was not amused to see the custom template feature has been set behind a paywall. I used this feature on a regular basis. Even worse, the price for an update to the expert edition is 3 times the price of the base product! I don't know what gave you the inclination to do so, but I consider this a huge mistake. My advice is to restore the custom template feature as was and use the expert option to really add value to Timeline. Otherwise chances are you will loose a lot of customers.

I've used this tool extensively at a different company. Was not obvious as which tool to purchase and so I got the wrong version (web vs app). Took a few days to resolve but once I got to the right person, easily fixed. Separately, I think the price is too high for what you get. given that I've got the entire Microsoft suite for $99 year and that includes power point, am a little shocked that the price for just app is >$100

I have been an avid user of Office Timeline for 5 years. As a consultant I have introduced it at 6 different companies. I have created amazing timelines for presentations to all levels of management. I even taught Office Timeline tips and tricks to fellow consultants. I currently have a Pro+ license, the same as I have had for a few years. I have not needed Office Timeline for a few months. I recently upgraded my software and dropped a new timeline onto a slide. Features that I used to use and depend on (e.g. custom templates) are no longer available unless I buy the expert version that costs 3x as much. The new version also resists customization. I used to be able to make changes to font sizes using the PowerPoint interface. Now unless I use the style pane, everything reverts back. It's really annoying and disrupts my workflow.
I used to be an evangelist for Office Timeline, but taking features away to force people to upgrade to a more expensive option is a dirty trick in software. I am looking at other software options.

This tool is very useful to publish macro schedule in Client or Top Management presentation. The critical path fonctionnality is a key function to gain time and efforts and to facilitate the decision making.

UI is great, it makes it very easy to maintain a roadmap within a powerpoint slide, and adjust the view in a few clicks to highlight information depending on the stakeholders. Great value for money when working as a lone product/project manager in charge of the roadmap.
Things I miss:
- in timeline view, allow moving multiple items simultaneously
- maintain multiple slides (with different views) that share the same data in the background

Great soft which allows me to present complex schedules on one slide. Always very relevant for my audience. One of the best tools ever to me.

I use this tool to create high level visuals for stakeholder presentations and summary documents. My planning is done in the background with heavier duty programme management tools (MS Project/Smartsheets).
It's very effective at doing this. However I feel the current price is significantly higher than it needs to be for the basic functionality I personally need.
More comprehensive tools (Wrike, Monday, Project 1 etc.) are £10/month and offer more. Whilst I appreciate this has grown to be a much larger platform in its own right, that is not the tool that I started using when it was launched some time ago in 2017-ish.
I purchased this originally in 2017 at $49 which was good value for money at the time *with a more limited feature set*, a feature set that is all that I personally need and value.
Now I unfortunately do not get the value out of it that the standard version is asking for, $150 is a lot for my use so I will likely limp on with the free version, which is a shame as I'd like to support the company as it's a great tool.
Tool is brilliant, value for me is questionable.

I love the tool and we use it a lot. The resulting graphic is difficult and unintuitive to format.
