Love Office Timeline! Very easy to use - builds timelines around my data in seconds. The data integrations have been super helpful, and means I don't have to constantly update manually.
I've also really enjoyed the new planned vs. actual feature.
Overall, it's a simple tool that saves me a bunch of time.

As a consultant I have used many tools to create project visuals, but Office Timeline Expert stands out. It's intuitive, reliable and integrates seamlessly with Power Point. A real time-saver and a joy to use

Good user interface. Intuitive usage. Excelent output for small scale scheduling (gets fast too long for a powerpoint ). Still some glitches to iron, especially concerning predecessors. New features are desirable (tasks' resources, budget....)

I was able to create the sort of timeline slide that has helped to explain some interconnected projects. I would like to be able to update from Workfront, an Adobe product. What I can do is download to MSProject first and then use that file to update timeline. Going directly from Workfront would be easier.

Really haven't used it much, it has turned out to be much harder to use than I anticipated. When moving things into a .PPTX slide, it never renders correctly and is missing half the info so not sure where to go from here. Might not be the right tool

its so clunky and everything has to be put in manually. The interface isnt clean and takes up most of teh screen - completely unneccesary. the functionality that MS project has with drag and drop and connecting is so simple. this is terribly manual and slow and is essentially the back of database that has a visual interface slapped on to it. it is a tool for kids and not professional at all - it is a visual tool at best but not actually useful

Love the tool; good onboarding experience; helpful tutorials. Highly recommend!

The latest version I have is very slow and clunky to use. The previous version seemed to run much faster and more smoothly. I'm starting to question the value of my subscription. My main reason for purchasing was to create strategy roadmaps, but the tool didn’t perform well for that purpose. I ended up using PowerPoint’s basic functions instead.

I think this is a great software tool to simplify the Work Breakdown Structure of the GANTT Chart on a single page to explain/communicate the programme clearly to people who are not used to reviewing GANTT Charts and seek constructive feedback. Its integration with MS Project is really good.

While the functionality of Timeline is great and the latest improvements with version 11 has given a massive overhaul to the look and feel the constant demand tomove existing features onto their highest paid plan takes the biscuit.
I've been a subscriber to what at the time was the highest paid plan before Expert appeared and have subscribed annually for a few years now to what is now Plus, it's incredibly annoying/frustrating that we are constantly losing features.
The most recent email to move all integrations inc. Excel which I use the most is the last straw. Seriously, we'll need be having to have a separate paid tier to change colours at the current rate of change.
Do better.

Easy to work with and intuitive to make and update schedules.

Paying for the lite plan I lost edit rights on a timeline I had created with the free plan. You got it right, I was able to edit this timeline with the free plan, as well as save it and export it, and now, after paying 100+ dollars for one year of lite plan, I can just delete that file unless I upgrade to the next plan. This is a pure scam. Zero transparency, zero options to cancel the subscription or even log out from the plug-in (so that I could easily edit with the free plan again).

I still feel Timeline could make some improvements on giving the user more ability to place Task Titles and Dates in more locations in the workspace. One example is when you put a task title within a task, there is no ability to place it to the right or left of a task. Another is, when you place a milestone within a task, the ability to manage that tasks title or date are then disabled. Other tools like this have more flexibility for the user.

The number of customizable features in the Timeline Edit is outstanding. The ability to import and refresh data from other platforms is also great.

Pros: I like the way it create the visuals, how the data is handled, the templates switching and creation, the timeline tiers, the options to place the titles.
Cons: No easy way to copy- paste several rows.
Sometimes the system is slow with many rows (around 80)
I would really love an integration with Azure Devops (If we have it for Jira, why not DevOps?)

Office Timeline does what it promises. Generating timelines from excel is super easy and it creates beautiful powerpoint timelines. Some minor improvements can still be made (for example working with multiple swimlanes from excel import) but overall it works very well!

The tool does well with initial set up but does not handle changes or large projects well. It often randomly seems to adjust spacing that results in having to manually adjust the entire timeline. There is no feature to fit a timeline to a slide so often times the time line is way bigger than the slide and requires manual adjustments. It also does weird things like placing the entire timeline above the slide which requires time consuming manual adjustments again. Finally, I have yet to get the Smartsheet integration to create a slide that fits on a one slide or logically splits over multiple slides. Tool is OK but not awesome. It feels like it’s 70% developed and the missing 30% is a time consuming pain.

I don't like the alignment of the text boxes in the timeline tool. It won't let you space them out properly, and continues to put the phases at the bottom of the screen interfering with the spacing on the details coming from the timeline.
