I was a returning customer and had previously booked two holidays with Love Holidays without any issues. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has completely destroyed my confidence in the company.

When booking a 2 week family holiday to Turkey for three passengers on 11 January, I made a genuine mistake and forgot to add checked baggage. I realised this within hours of booking and contacted Love Holidays immediately. I have never disputed that this initial mistake was mine.

What followed was months of frustration.

Turkish Airlines quoted approximately €1,400 to add checked baggage after ticketing. Faced with such an extraordinary cost, I asked Love Holidays, as the organiser of my package holiday, to explore whether any manual amendment or practical solution was available.

Instead, I was repeatedly told that the matter was "outside our control". I received contradictory and often template-style responses, my formal complaint took weeks to conclude, and during one phone call a manager terminated the conversation while I was trying to explain my concerns.

At no point did I feel that anyone genuinely took ownership of the issue or tried to advocate on my behalf. I wasn't asking Love Holidays to ignore airline rules or refund me. I was simply asking them to make every reasonable effort to help.

In the end, my family had two choices:

* Pay approximately €1,400 for checked baggage, or
* Cancel the holiday and lose a substantial amount of money (Approx. €1,600).

We cancelled.

Love Holidays did eventually allow me to spread the cancellation charges over several months, and I appreciate that flexibility. However, that simply helped me pay for a holiday that never happened. No goodwill gesture, voucher or account credit was ever offered despite the circumstances.

To make matters worse, the day before we were originally due to travel, Love Holidays incorrectly debited a further €122 from my account, which they later acknowledged should not have been taken and agreed to refund. Then, on the day we were supposed to arrive in Turkey (Actually today), the hotel rep contacted me saying hi it's .. from the hotel here. I had to inform him that our holiday had to be cancelled. It seems Love Holidays never told them we would not make it to Turkey.

Those final two events perfectly summed up my experience.

Everyone makes mistakes, including customers. What defines a company is how it responds when something goes wrong. Sadly, in my experience, Love Holidays failed that test completely.

This company has permanently lost my business. More importantly, it has lost my trust. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Love Holidays to anyone looking for a company that will genuinely support them when problems arise.

Easy to book holiday, plenty of choice, and payment plan

LOVE Holidays just seem to have trips and accommodation to the many places on my bucket list. I often travel solo for5 to 7 days, like to be couriered to and from airports and to stay in hotels close to main thoroughfare. LOVE H have never let me down. Highly recommend

Everything goes on plan. Love it.

I like to buy the flights, hotel transfer, and everything I need in 1 place. I love that I can pay off the holiday bit by bit, and not just the installments whenever it's due.

Great value holidays with lots of choices

Good to deal with & very handy when it comes to paying in instalments, messaging/notifications good too. But not the cheapest if you shop around.

The accommodation from hell in the Pacific apartments in salou absolutely no help from hotel staff and when we got onto love holidays they basically didn't take any responsibility so I would never book a holiday from love holidays. I would say avoid them.now trustpilot are going to take my review down I believe this is why love holidays don't have other bad reviews 🤬. Btw I've been onto love holidays all week while I was there so they know my case.

First time using loveholidays, the website was well laid out, simple to navigate and easy to book. The 9pp makes it easy to book and figure out payments as you go.
Will definitely be recommending it to friends.
