I had a very good experience. Their office is located directly inside the terminal, so picking up the car and the keys was very quick and convenient.

I was even given the option to choose from a few different cars, including some better models, at no extra cost, which was a nice surprise.

Returning the car was just as easy. I parked it, dropped the key into their secure key box, and didn’t have to wait for anyone to inspect the vehicle or notify anyone that I had returned it.

I would definitely rent from them again.

The pick-up process directly at Catania Airport was relatively quick. They’re not interested in the full insurance you buy through Booking, so if you want full coverage with no excess, you have to take out their own insurance, which is several times more expensive. That’s pretty standard practice, though.

The first car we got had an electrical issue, but after we pointed it out, they quickly replaced it without any hassle. Great service. The cars are clean. I’d definitely recommend them.

Everything worked as it should have

The airport agent pushed me a fuel package costing 90 euros bur did not inform me that the car he offered was hybrid. He also tried to push me an insurance package in spite I had being bought one when I reserved the car at the booking website. I don't blame him because he is responding to the pression exerted by Locauto top managers. He is just an agent doing hia job. Sadly, Loucauto's orientation in pursuing profits at expense of transparency and fairness stains its reputation.

Annoying, repeated attempts to upsell additional insurance policies that had already been purchased when booking in Germany. Honestly—is this really necessary? Can’t you pay your staff enough so that this wretched commission-driven sales tactic isn't required? One question is fine, but that should be the end of it!
Finally, the car was fine. The return process was very well organized.

We rent a car with a known damage just beside of the car door handel. After a uneventful driving week, when we return the car, the employees of Locauto Catania Airport told us that the door was damaged and that the key didn’t opten the doors, probably because a tentative to steal the car. During our rentat període, we didn’t have any problem to open the car with the remot control and the car hasn’t any sign of violence. Therefore, I Don’t beliveve the damage was caused by any thive and the logical hipotesis is that the handel was damaged when the previous hit on the door ocurred.
