Garbage software
Garbage software, updated and now all my setting have been lost. Spend time finding my setting again... save, quit. Next time I load up, settings all reverted to default.
Cant import settings becaues you can only do that on a New file... which still dosen't work.
Just utterly bizarre and or stupid programing/updating.
Totally pointless software if I cant load up and have all my setting there ready to go.
Reply: it's a bug acknowledged on your forums, I have two licenses and have used Light burn for years. I've not changed windows settings. No I've not email Support. I'm too busy trying to dial my settings back in to do my work to email them... However what's the point, everything is going to change to pointless default 6000 speed, 20% power when I open the program tomorrow.
Anyway it's not my fault here. I can use my second PC and laser that has not updated for 2+ years and it works as you expect. My bang up to date license and PC, I'll spend a ton of time having to change everything to how it was when I shut down last. Get it fixed!

Activation Problem Solved, user error.
Purchased this software in 2021, the software works fine, no problems with that. However during the 3 years I have activated and deactivated the software on various computers. I mainly use old PC's . Unfortunately I have reached my limit. Because I have changed a PC's processor on my AMD machine and the processor on my old Dell laptop to a i5 the machine definitions have changed, so I now cannot activate or deactivate these machines. I have contacted Lightburn support many times about this, but never get a reply.
Update:
Many thanks to Lightburn Software for getting back to me and solving my problem. If only I had used the correct email address for support in the first place.

I like the forums
I like the forums, they are pretty informative.
Software updates are pretty simple to install. The only frustrating thing is not knowing when my expiration window closes, for getting my update without being penalized/having to pay. I don't always catch the notification.
The user interface could use MORE (or indefinite?) LAYERS, so one doesn't have to create a whole new file and then have to remember which of the files has which parts...
Otherwise, the software is pretty awesome!!

Best Support!
Like many Hobby Laserites, I rely on Lightburn for all my projects and when something screws up I tend to want to panic. The purchase of a faulty camera from LB caused some angst but the folks on their support team offered a replacement which eventually solved the issue. Kudos to the team. Great service.

Questions left unanswered
I RENEWED again because the updates have always been helpful. However I asked about additional licenses (I use 3 or 4) and got no response. I waited nearly a week but no response was received. I oaid extra for the 3rd but was not given that option at renewal. So where did this leave me as to licenses

Support is non responsive
Support is non responsive. Does not reply to emails. Support matrix indicates product is supported on Ubuntu 22.04 but fails to connect to the laser. Have spent more than a week reinstalling and following the install guide only to have the product fail. Lightburn might be the better software but if there are any, and I mean any issues, LightBurn simply fails to support it's customers.
Lightburn has yet to resolve this issue. Support does not respond to emails, unable to resolve issue, doesn't acknowledge that tickets have been submitted, ask for a review when the ticket has not been resolved. Have followed the documentation provided by LightBurn with no success. Would NEVER recommend this software to anyone.

Support has responded and resolved the issue.

It's the best laser cutter driver out there. It has a few strange quirks (like closing the app when you close a file window). Otherwise definitely worth using if it supports your laser.
