Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 105 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers often struggled with inaccurate location tracking and delayed notifications that made monitoring family members very difficult throughout the day. Additionally, people experienced unhelpful customer support teams and found it extremely frustrating to resolve technical issues or cancel subscriptions. Some reviewers were happy with the application, finding it genuinely helpful for keeping track of loved ones and providing great peace of mind. These users appreciated how the platform instantly notified them during road emergencies and felt it was very easy to use daily. A few other people also felt that the service worked well for their specific family needs over many years of usage.

Disgusting customer service

Disgusting customer service, badly designed journeys, inept liars. I screenshotted their moronic journey and sent it to them and their "technical support" person, Michael, is still trying to insist it is me at fault.

Meanwhile, he's the second person after Cristina got caught out in a blatant lie. Why do so many companies just continuously lie? The next response will be fun - tweedledumb and tweedledumber are contradicting each other, and I'm sure they will try to get out of it, but that's pretty difficult with the reading comprehension of a not particularly bright six year-old.

Use to LOVE this app but since the update if you click on a location to see route & where your kid ended up, the screen just pops off the app back to my Home Screen. It does this when I look at any 5 members of my groups location. Cannot see details like before and the home page does mot look like it did before and annoying to navigate now.

Do NOT trust this company to honour…

Do NOT trust this company to honour their promises to “help”: they will leave you stranded, as they left me and my family. I have never been more disappointed, distressed, disgusted or ripped off and disgusted by the point-blank bald-faced lies of any company I’ve relied on to deliver their promised - “Gold Membership = 25km towing” than Life 360. I called for roadside assist, having stupidly trusted their promise, to be eventually told after hours of run-around that they had changed their policy and my gold-membership no longer counted: I would need to upgrade and buy “platinum” if I wanted them to honour the IN WRITING conditions and guarantee they promised to honour when I paid up and joined. Because I am in Australia and they are USA based, I have NO option of recourse. The laws are not sufficient. Do NOT waste your money. They should be sued and if I was able to, I am still so very pissed off, I would.

It’s a really impossible to get anyone let alone anyone who cares or wants to help

It’s a really impossible to get a resolve for any technical issues. I’m trying to set up my child’s account, it’s locked me out so told me to “chat with us” except you just get an AI and if you do get the AI to agree to put you thru to a human it asks you for your phone number except it doesn’t agree with your phone number so your left to guess what format it wants you to input your phone number until you finally succumb to the persistent prompt “never mind”

Humans required

Looking at their score of 1.6 I probably don’t need to review life360!
I wanted to report my pet lost which is one their functions - but you have to be over 18. And you cannot add your birthday to prove that you are! Who designed this program?? Their response was create a new account!! Have been contacted by Alex of Life 360 who solved the problem. The problem I believe is that I was dealing with AI! Humans needed. Thanks Alex

Life360 is inaccurate/useless

Life360 has been wildly inaccurate. Reports several member locations as 110+die. For example, my location was reported as 110+die while I was sitting at home. The 110+die means you are traveling in excess of 110MPH! This location changes randomly. Life360 AI chat suggest all kind of procedures to fix the problem. However, this problem is not limited to one phone but occurs on all phones in the group. That being the case, it is obviously a software/app problem and not a phone issue. This problem only started recently so I suspect life360 most have made so sort of change or behind the scenes modification to the app.
So, bottom line, you can't trust what it reports which makes the app USELESS.

Too STRESSFUL!!

The tracking wasn't accurate, it would take hours to update and after one of my supposedly adult children, stalking other family members including myself and asking where are you going? What are you doing? We had so many arguments that I finally left her family group. It's a waste of time and creates a lot of stress. Not worth the hassle.

Buyer Beware!

We ordered the pet tracker with a free 1 month "trial." The one month trial was a bait and switch. The tracker did not work and was way too heavy for a cat. However, after my free month, I was on the hook for an entire year of the subscription. Terrible advertising. Buyer beware!

Life360 are selling to third parties, quite possible autoinsurance agencies, the way you are driving, hard brakes, acceleration, distracting driving, over speed limit and so on. Do not be surprised if you can not get affordable auto quote.

Appalling Customer Service!

Appalling Customer Service!

I purchased 2 Pet GPS devices from these. I have had issues with setting the second one up. The issue is with the app, not the device yet they insisted on sending another one out which...... You've guessed it..... Issues!

Their customer service agents don't listen to a word you say, Annie particularly was as useful as a chocolate fire guard. After a month of going backwards and forwards with this lot, they're now not willing to refund as 30 days has passed.

Gold membership has now been cancelled and a chargeback through my bank with proof of all correspondence sent and actioned.

Don't touch these, they're truly abysmal

We upgraded to the premium service

We upgraded to the premium service. Honest to God, very early the next morning, my teenage son was involved in a terrible accident that left his car sitting literally upside down on the train tracks. Life360 immediately tried to contact him. He didn't answer his phone. They them called the country sheriff and have them the GPS coordinates of his vehicle. My son remembers climbing it is his car and seeing the train light go from green to red. Less than 10 minutes after they cleared his car off of the tracks, a train was then coming down the tracks. I hate to think of what might have happened if the sheriff's office hasn't of been notified and the trains shut down
