It took a long time for me to grasp how this system might work in a large house. A very large number of questions were fired off to the engineer who with remarkable patience carefully answered them. Installation required some adapting in the house to make the best of what was proposed which my builder sorted. Fitting was done very smoothly and the system is now live. A good, easy to understand, manual was provided and has been shared with all occupants so everyone can follow the protocol of checking if the water gets turned off. Even though we have over 40 years without any leaks, this installation does follow one expensive burst pipe. Leaksafe were checked against other companies and were more expensive but I do now have a feeling of reassurance not gained when talking and getting quotes from the alternative companies.
My insurers have had 40 years of claim free business. First time there was an issue they imposed this. I sought to tell them the horse had bolted and I didn't need to spend the money, but what can you do....?
Installed as promised with good follow-up.
I wasn't convinced about the system but the insurers insisted and paid for it after the flood. The engineer was absolutely charming and very efficient. He went on his way and I still wasn't convinced -until two days later when I had no water in the bathroom first thing. I went and checked the stopcock and found the device had switched off the water. Still not convinced I heard a noise from the kitchen but no water in the cabinets and on finial examination the tape seemed dry, until I felt damp and there was a slow drip from a fitting. I am now totally convinced and thankful for having the system and dealing with such charming people.
Update to 3rd Dec. another squeaking noise, this time from behind the fridge in the scullery. Very minor leak but without the system could have gone on for donkey's. I highly recommend Leaksafe as two possible disasters saved, facilitating the adage "A stitch in time"
We have had several bad leaks over the years. Now at last we feel safe. Alarms are very sensitive- one went off with slight dampness but I would rather have it that way.
They were fitted for the building I live a couple of years ago. For 6 months my water cut out daily then all the metres in the building stopped working. There have been 5 burst pipes since and no way to turn the water off it's a disaster. A waste of money and not fig for purpose.
Great service, very clean installation, great product information and instruction received.
Installation was quick and easy. The installer was on time, finished early and answered all our questions. Have not experienced the product at work yet as fortunately we have not had a leak
Absolutely brilliant support. Quick e mail response and a follow up WhatsApp video call. Problem sorted out by friendly staff.
Excellent.
Last Sunday morning, my leaksafe started to go off in my flat. The team made sure that I was able to effectively manage the situation and went above and beyond by calling me after hours to advise how to best sort the situation. Thank you Sarah for an excellent customer experience!
