I work for a management company specialising on high spec properties. Recently Leaksafe installed a leak detection system in a 5 bedroom property. The whole team (admin and engineers) were great with communication before, throughout and after the installation. Excellent customer service.

Incredibly bad product and service.
I am flabbergasted by this company's attitude and intransigence.
We suffered a leak earlier this year in our utilty room which caused significant damage. Our insurance company requested we consider Leaksafe as a means to mitigate potential future issues. They sent an engineer to asses our property and provided several recommendations - each with an associate cost.
We opted for the most expensive option which meant a 5k contribution from our insurers and slightly less than 1k from us.
They came out to install the system.
Before they left, they said we had one historic leak under our prep sink and an ongoing leak in the filler loop to our boiler. They had not connected the garage system due to this and requested I do it when the tape had dried out. Which I did and all was fine.
I asked our plumber to come and asses the filler loop. He came exactly 2 weeks after the system was installed. Before he came, I noticed that a tap in our bar was weeping water. It had previous signs of limesacle staining on it and the countertop.
The plumber came and said he could not find a leak on the filler loop.
I showed him the tap and he said he would have to replace it as it seemed to be a sealed unit. He opened the storage cupboard underneath (this is a room we don't use very often) and the smell hit us. It was very damp. Closer inspection revealed a very old leak. I had 2 spare long metal handles stored on the top shelf - one in the original packaging and one without packaging. The unpackaged one had rusted badly and a large area of the shelf was stained comprehensively. The back of the cabinet was riddled with run marks and the upper shelf and lower shelf were black and swollen with the front trim hanging off.
There was no sign of any leak tape.
When I queried with Leaksafe why this leak (the first test of the system!) had not worked, I was informed that the flow rate must not have been high enough? When I asked why on earth the engineer hadn't informed me we had a current leak, I was told it mustn't have been there.
I said I wanted to make a complaint and was contacted by Joanne State. She reiterated the same useless excuses.
i.e. The leak can't have been there when the engineer visited otherwise he would have mentioned it.
Completely missing the point that the leak was so slow that their system didn't pick it up. Suggesting that a slow leak has caused massive damage in 2 weeks? Yeah, I don't think so. You don't have to be particularly bright to know this is not 2 weeks worth of a slow drip from a tap.
A slow drip from a tap is potentially one of the biggest issues normal households face and yet this company failed to address it on 2 fronts.
1. They ignored it and didn't report it to me
2. Their own system didn't pick it up and would only potentially pick it up when it when it soaked through the units to the floor beneath.
I shall be informing my insurance company of this cowboy outfit and making the suggestion not to recommend them again. What a complete waste of time and money.
Jade was fantastic. We had to fit a device after our insurance company required it following a flood, and Jade was so helpful during a rather stressful time which took a year to resolve. She kept up to date with the building work, and numerous delays. After installation she followed up to make sure that we were happy with the device and confident about how it worked.

We had an issue with our boiler and we were able to turn the water off easily until the plumber came out so the system does work well

Installed at insurer's request. Nothing but trouble. Alarms go off and water gets shut off with an annoying frequency without any leaks. System installed in November 2023 and is already out of warranty at which point customer support is reduced to telling me to remove the faulty tape and alarms myself and post the to Leaksafe for review.
Our insurers have insisted on this system following a leak in our house. Firstly the Leaksafe team are really lovely and have worked with me to get the fitting done around our other workers on site. The fitter was great, even drove back 2 hours as he didn't think he had set the system correctly. Do i love the system? no not really but if it does stop me having to go through having my floors ripped up again I'll put up with it.

Worst company ever. Get paid and then from there on everything goes very bad. AVOID!
And, they want to charge even more to have someone to come and clear their mess.
I have to say that SIMON, the engineer, was very helpful and solve the problem. He came the same day! Is the office that were not helpful at all!

Told by insurer we had to install a leak detections system following a shower leak and directed to Leaksafe, and told insurer would cover the cost. Surveyor attended and explained cut-off valve and recommended moisture detection tape in multiple locations, great. Subsequently told by Leaksafe we would require to make a £1,495 contribution. Not sure if deliberate attempt to oversell or not but no mention at the time that some of the products being offered would have to be paid for. Installation of cut-off valve was fine, friendly, helpful local plumber. Cost of system, even that part covered by insurer, seems very high.

Expensive for what it is. As instructed by our insurers we had to have a leak detection system installed due to recent water damage and LeakSafe were recommended. A cutoff system could be not be installed due to space constraints, but sensors (with tape) were installed around the house which sound an alarm if a leak is detected. Within 2 weeks we have had 2 alarms go off, but the tape appeared dry and no sign of leaks. One was located near a washer/dryer and may have be triggered by the drying cycle!! Another may have been triggered by the use of a wallpaper steamer in an adjacent room, but we are unsure. We recently had a dishwasher replaced. During the installation there was a small leak, but the sensor did not go off despite the tape being wet.
Working in the electrical industry, the devices were poorly wired together. There is no means to test the devices or know when the battery needs replacing.
The sensors are dumb units so unless someone is in the house you will be unaware of issues - no good if the house is empty during holidays. Amazon sell smart water leak sensors for much less that what we paid LeakSafe, but unsure if these are approved by the insurers. However I will be installing these as a backup for peace of mind as these will notify me via email and by an app of any issues, so should the house be vacant, I can notify neighbours.
The devices LeakSafe supply sell for £15 on Amazon (without the tape), but with a survey and installation, 7 devices have cost us close to £2,000. The installation took around 1 hour.
Three units been sent back (out of 7 fitted), so this has given us no peace of mind going forward.

Excellent service,
Peace of mind and aftercare very helpful.
Good to have a device which helps you mitigate a potential problem with water leaks which can be awful.
Definitely recommend this.

Early on, the system kept on tripping and turning the water off but Leaksafe were very quick to respond and give advice which was great and since then it has worked fine. My only comment is that this was paid for by the insurance company and this did not include putting a sensor on every floor in my house which means I will not always know the source of the leak. I think I can pay to have more put in but I had wrongly assumed that there would be a sensor on every floor

This is our second Leaksafe installation. Great communication and a really professional team of installers. Super simple to operate and great peace of mind having experienced the trauma of a major water leak in the past. Well done.

Great company - initial survey very efficient and the follow up work was done in good time. Great communication from the office

Leaksafe were excellent from start to finish. We had an escape of water insurance claim and were recommended to fit the equipment by our insurer. The fitter Brad was exceptional in his resilience, professionalism and customer service. The follow up from the office after installation was also excellent!

The whole process - booking of appointments (by Jade), survey (by Graham) and installation (by Simon) - was very straightforward - more so than I had anticipated. We very much hope that it will prove unnecessary, but are reassured that the system should prevent us having another water leak as the disastrous one we suffered in December 2022!

Communication from start to finish was very professional and quick. I was kept informed throughout the process before and after installation. The Engineers who came to the house visit were very polite, professional and clean and tidy. everything was explained to what was going to happen and there was very minimal disruption.
