LUSH LAWN MASTER

Lawn Master has transformed my mud pit of a lawn, to a lush green new lawn. We had the Regener8 service, followed by the feed and weeds and our lawn has never looked so good.
Gardeners and office staff always very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them.
I would highly recommend Lawn Master to anyone who wants good service and the perfect lawn!

A real shame

A real shame, I was with LM for 18 months and the lawn looked great and the guys completing the service were excellent. Unfortunately, the franchise went back to head office which then resulted in services being added without authorisation. I called to cancel and was told I would be charged £25 for something I dd not book. Short sighted for the sake of £25, losing over £1000 a year as a result. No follow up from head office, shame.

I don't seem to have the option to reply so will try and amend this. Your reply is incorrect and I did not book an aeration service, one went through as I was an aware, I cancelled the other when I realised you were doing it again. I signed up to an feed and weed 8 week programme only. But your reply says everything. I will find an alternative supplier with a little more customer focus.

The service you’re referring to - aeration wasn’t “added without authorisation.” You received and paid for this treatment in both 2022 and 2023. It’s part of our standard treatment programme, and nothing was added outside of what had already been agreed to and delivered in previous years.

You called to cancel the day before a £300 service was due to take place. The £25 cancellation fee reflects the time, labour, and scheduling already committed - something clearly stated in our terms. Like any professional service, last-minute cancellations come with costs.

Your claim that there was no follow-up from head office is also incorrect. We have full records of communication from our customer care team responding to your enquiry.

It’s disappointing that you chose to end a long-standing relationship over a charge that was both fair and avoidable - especially after 18 months of quality service. But the facts matter, and we won’t overlook them.


ADDITIONAL REPLY: Just to clarify, your invoices clearly outlines all upcoming treatments, including aeration, which was listed well in advance. Had this been reviewed, the schedule would have been clear.

Furthermore, aeration is part of our standard treatment programme, which is explained both on our website and during the initial sign-up. This wasn’t an “extra” service, but a routine part of the agreed plan, consistent with previous years.

Can't get hold of them. Call them and no answer! Email them some time ago and got response saying they will respond by return. Still waiting after several months!!

You were not ignored out of disinterest, but because there simply wasn't availability. To then claim we’re “not interested” and label us “impossible to contact” when you were never a customer is misleading.

Your review history shows a pattern of similar complaints. That’s your prerogative, but it says more about how you use this platform than it does about how we operate.

Dont touch them with a barge pole

We had lawn master for 2 years, they prepared and seeded a new lawn and the result was terrible, there were patches all over and the grass never looked right. They blamed everything but in the end we finished with them and hired a local company that produce a bowling green within 6 months. Every visitor comments on our revitilised lawn as it looks so good even through the Winter. We wasted a lot of money with Lawnmaster i am afraid and our neighbours had the same with their lawn. 2023-24

It’s worth stating clearly: achieving a true bowling green standard lawn in just six months is highly improbable without extensive groundwork, professional-grade turf, and controlled conditions. Suggesting this was done so casually is misleading to other readers.

We also take issue with the generalisation about your neighbours, as we have no record of similar complaints in your area during that time.

What a transformation!

Great service

5 Stars – Outstanding Lawn Transformation!
Huge thanks to Colin, Ian, and Jenny from Lawnmasters for the fantastic job they did on our lawn. From start to finish, the team was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable.

They carried out scarification, seeding, top dressing, and applied a leatherjacket treatment — and the results speak for themselves. The grass has never looked better; it’s lush, green, and healthy. You can really tell the care and expertise they put into their work.

Highly recommend Lawnmasters to anyone looking to bring their lawn back to life. Brilliant service and even better results! Shame I can’t add pictures

Highly recommended

I have had Adam from Lawnmaster attend to lawn over the last few years. The service has been great. Adam turns up when he says he will, does a very effective application of treatment, including aeration once a year, the results have been very good. His suggestions upon his quarterly visit have been great and have helped general improvement. Highly recommended, thank you.

Serious drop in service

Unfortunately this company seems to be dropping in standards of lawn care and customer service. I paid for overseeding which failed, they came out to have another look twice but gave no follow up information. I have shared photos and the company have blamed birds, a different operative and now the weather.
I tried for 6 weeks to resolve and have a 50% balance to pay for the failed service which they are insisting i pay.
It’s a shame as this company, until recently was good.

From our perspective, we have gone above and beyond in addressing your concerns, including three additional site visits and continued aftercare support to ensure the best possible outcome for your lawn.

It appears your dissatisfaction of our customer service stems largely from our decision not to waive the remaining 50% balance. However, as the service was carried out in full and in accordance with our agreement, we believe this position is reasonable.

For context, the current condition of your lawn is due to environmental factors outside of our control. Prolonged warm and dry weather that we've recently had can cause soil to become hydrophobic, affecting water absorption. That said, the lawn is expected to recover with time and with care on your behalf also.

We remain committed to maintaining a professional relationship and would still be happy to discuss any outstanding concerns directly.

We have paid Lawn Master for many years and our lawn looks terrible - worse than ever ! All Lawn Master at Steventon offer are excuses about the weather. We feel we have just been throwing good money after bad and so we have now ended our contract

While we always aim to be proactive, certain treatments such as over-seeding require specific conditions to be effective, including soil preparation and consistently warmer temperatures. This is why, during our visit on 22nd January, we initially recommended scarification and seeding to help prepare your lawn for the coming season.

We understand your frustration, particularly following a very hard winter, which have unfortunately impacted many lawns across the region. Mentioning the weather isn’t intended as an excuse, but as context for the challenges we've faced.

We had arranged a follow-up visit for 20th February to review the situation in person and discuss a way forward. It’s disappointing that after this and sending you an email with prices of the recommended services, you chose to cancel our services and leave this review. We respect your decision, but regret not having the chance to fully address your concerns.

Lack of communication

Until a few months ago, we had a technician who handled the recommended and regular grass treatments. He was thorough, always knocking first to discuss the treatment plan and inspecting the grass before applying any products. Unfortunately, he left, and since then, the service has gone downhill.

The new technician (or technicians) never knock or assess the grass beforehand—they just apply the treatment and leave. On the last visit, he and a colleague were here for barely two minutes. Even though it’s winter, the grass is in the worst condition it has been in six years, yet there’s no discussion about what can be done to improve it.

I’m seriously considering switching to another company.

Treatment didn’t work !! Reported in December 2024 Keith didn’t return till February 2025, We had 1 Failed appointment in January 2025, On Keith’s return he could clearly see something had gone wrong, and explained it was raining that day when he treated the Lawn. He advised Head Office would be in contact (Oh No) but due to the time that had lapsed Lawn master refused to do Anything I explained that it was raining, the woman explained that was out of their control!!! this was down to Lawn Master and the lack of them being able to manage there appointments days and times. The Customer service is absolutely Appalling Her Attitude was not good, and she is certainly No Asset to the Company,
£ 400 for 1 treatment that was useless. Save your money.

Customer service is our top priority, and we take all feedback seriously. However, your accusations regarding our customer service adviser are incorrect and do not reflect the events that took place.

Our email records show a different timeline. To clarify, you requested a cancellation on (Friday, 20th December), the same day our offices closed for Christmas. Our adviser responded on (7th January), offering, as a goodwill gesture, to arrange for an operative to visit your lawn to resolve the issue. You accepted this offer.

On 8th January, we followed up with an email offering a visit on (Wednesday, 22nd January), but we did not receive a response.

Instead, you emailed again on 29th January, asking when an operative would visit. It appears that our previous email suggesting the visit had been removed by yourself, as your follow-up came more than a week after the proposed date.

Despite this, we remained committed to resolving the issue and offered you another visit.

Given the extended timeline, your lawn would have naturally developed moss and weeds again, as your scheduled January treatment had not taken place.

Additionally, I’d like to clarify that your claim of being charged £400 for one treatment is incorrect. You received two treatments on the same day: aeration and a feed & weed application.

Our treatments are designed to improve lawn health over time. While weather conditions can influence results, they do not render our products ineffective. In cases where weather may impact a treatment, we always take appropriate steps, such as rescheduling where necessary.

Regarding your cancellation, our records show that we offered a goodwill visit, which you accepted. We also proposed a date for this visit, but unfortunately, we did not receive confirmation from you. We remained open to resolving the issue despite this.

As for your payment, you received two treatments on the same day, not one. This is standard practice, and we always ensure our customers are informed about the services provided.

First class from the start.

Since taking over the maintenance and care of our lawns, Steven Brymer and his team that look after Fife and the East Neuk have worked miracles and wonders. In well under a year they have done what our previous company could not in the two years prior; they have given us a lawn we are proud of. The only thing better than the results is the service. Nothing is too much trouble and Stevie and his team are always more than happy to help and explain what they are doing and planning. We cannot recommend them highly enough. First class.

Reliable lawn care

I have been using Lawn Master Sussex since 2019. With their various treatments, my dreadful front and back “grassed” areas were quickly transformed into weed free, lush lawns. The advice, treatments and friendly operatives have made a big difference to my garden. I never hesitate to recommend them when asked, “how do you do it?”.

From a large area of weeds to a perfect lawn

Having two large lawns that mainly consisted of clumps of weeds especially in dry weather we asked Lawn Master Sussex to see what they could do. The change has just got to be seen, the lawns are now a perfect lush green with not a weed in sight. They arrive periodically to weed and feed plus all the other treatments a lawn needs. They are reliable, friendly and reasonable. Highly recommended.
