It started with Mamie Lou hanging sheets out in the garden — the smell of Marseille soap caught on the wind, linen gone stiff and sweet in the sun. That smell is where LAVOIR begins. It's an homage to her and to the women before her — mothers, grandmothers, aunts — for whom looking after a home was never a chore but a quiet practice, done properly, without being asked. La Lessive is our attempt to bottle what she knew: soap flakes from Marseille, a fragrance developed in Grasse, poured by hand in small batches. Not perfect, not clinical — just done the way it was always done, before convenience replaced care. Because linen remembers.

Amazing Lavoir

Lavoir laundry liquid is amazing.
I live in an hard water area in Hampshire. Since using Lavoir I no longer need to use Fabrics conditioner and the whites are brighter. And stains are also easily removed.

From the beautiful packaging and practical, attached wooden measuring spoon, this fresh and delicately perfumed laundry soap is a joy to use. A truly luxurious product which I will be repurchasing and recommending to others.

LAVOIR is one of those rare products…

LAVOIR is one of those rare products that turns an everyday chore into something you genuinely look forward to. From the moment the beautifully wrapped parcel arrives, it’s clear that every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The scent is elegant, fresh and understated – it leaves laundry smelling like crisp linen dried in the French countryside rather than an overpowering perfume.

The quality is exceptional. Clothes, bedding and towels come out feeling wonderfully clean and soft, and the fragrance lingers just enough to make opening the wardrobe a pleasure.

An outstanding first release, and I can’t wait to see what comes next. Highly recommended.

A truly premium product

I've been really impressed with Lavoir. The quality is excellent, and you can tell a lot of care has gone into the formulation. Everything feels premium, delivers on its promises, and leaves clothes looking and smelling fantastic. The fragrances are fresh without being overpowering. I'd happily recommend Lavoir to anyone looking for a high-quality laundry care product.

Love this product

Love this product. Having sensitive skin, it’s really helped. Usually I itch really easily, but this has solved that for me; I’ve always looked for a product with more natural ingredients. The smell is divine too
