Testing the Wireless Reversing Camera
Prompt delivery, good communication and company reputation together with prior experience with Laser is why I gave it five stars.
The camera was purchased to install on the rear of a teardrop caravan. Pairing of the camera with screen was simple and attaching the camera to the rear licence plate was quite easy.
The instruction book that came with the product was lacking in detail and setting up the screen was both time consuming and frustrating. An online video I found was more useful. Once set up the camera functioned well although the resolution really needs upgrading to a better quality. It is quite grainy which may be related to the distance the camera is from the screen. A longer that 60 second screen on period would be useful especially for those learning to reverse for the first time.
If a caravan is not used for some time the camera needs to be woken up manually by tapping on it since closing a car door as suggested is not sufficient to wake it up. With regular use this should not be a real issue.
The solar charging system works very well and once the screen is set up the product works as advertised.
The inclusion of guidance lines on the screen really helps reverse a caravan well. Again, a higher resolution lens on the camera might improve the on screen sharpness. Rated by the writer 7/10.
