Failure to support a grieving widow
I called to tell you my husband had died. You have sent this email to him. He is dead. I asked to take over the policy. You said it had been put in the name of his estate. You said you would address it further once the vehicle was dealt with. I am the owner of the vehicle. It does not require 'dealing with'. You said you would then redo the policy. I don't know what that means.
No longer sure if I am insured or not.

We're very sorry for your loss and for the additional frustration this situation has caused.
As part of our compliance process, when a policyholder has passed away, the policy must be updated to "The Estate of". We also updated the contact email address to ensure future correspondence was sent directly to you.
As you have advised that you are now the registered owner of the vehicle, this policy will need to be cancelled and a new policy established with you as the policyholder, as we are unable to transfer an existing policy into another person's name. We appreciate that this process may not have been as clear as it should have been.
We also attempted to contact you to discuss your concerns and to clarify the process but were unfortunately unable to reach you. Please contact us at your convenience on 1300 261 261 so we can ensure everything is explained clearly and your insurance arrangements are correct.
A simple phonecall and all our insurance needs were sorted
Our renewal came through to my email with clear information on what was covered. We decided to protect our Rating 1 as we have a trip away in our camper planned. A phonecall to KT and everything was sorted and we can now go away knowing our insurance is up to date. Payments will continue monthly, a wonderful manageable option via our credit card.
