It's all good!

This is the third tour I have booked and completed through KnittingTours.com. The programs are well thought out. Each one has been a pleasure. The instructors are wonderful, knowledgeable and approachable. The staff is responsive and very good at problem solving. They request and listen to feedback and make modifications accordingly. I think they understand their audience.

The Best of Shetland Isles and Scotland

The first trip to Best of Shetland Isles and Scotland by Knitting Tours.com was wonderful, educational, well planned and I would go back in a minute. The stop at the Perth Yarn Festival was an added stop because we were in Perth the first day of the festival. That was a great addition. All the teachers were helpful, experts, and very welcoming. However,a microphone for the lace workshop may have helped hear better. Elizabeth was soft spoken and with 24 knitters in a circle it was hard to hear. We also had sunny days for the majority of the trip. Loved going to artisans studios and homes for demo and lectures. The museums in Lerwick were inspiring and educational for all things Shetland. It was great to be steps away from Jameson and Smith mill and yarn shop from our Lerwick Hotel. All the food was fresh and local and many choices. Tour guide and bus driver were willing to add extras as time permitted. They were very good and accommodating. Cindy Garnes

I had a wonderful time

I had a wonderful time! The accommodation was comfortable and our host just the best. Our tour guide was funny and friendly and knowledgeable. We saw a great deal and the pace was good. Tammy was helpful and enjoyable. When I go again I will fly from Aberdeen! That ferry crossing was brutal both ways. The group was a good mix. I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

I have participated in several…

I have participated in several organized tours and this was clearly at the top. The enrollment process went smoothly. Employees we spoke with were friendly, knowledgable, and clear expectations.
This was my first fiber tour. I think the time devoted to class and sightseeing was in good proportion. All the teachers were engaging and enjoyed working on all the lessons and patterns. When I emailed questions afterward, the response was prompt and succinct.
It was very apparent that our tour guide Mary, driver Pat, and all hotel staff were invested in our experience. They wanted us to learn the culture, know the history, and make us aware of the current political concerns. I believe all felt cared for by all.
I have already recommended this tour to my friends and would not hesitate to contract with Irish Knitting Tours again.

Delightful Knitting Retreat in Southwest Ireland

The Kerry Knitting Retreat is absolutely delightful. For me, the retreat format is much more enjoyable than a regular tour. With knitting workshops in the morning and sightseeing in the afternoon most days, there is a nice balance of activities. You get to see a lot of the countryside and visit interesting things. A big part of the pleasure is not having to pack and move every day or every other day. It's relaxing and conducive to a premier experience. I would like to see the Knitting Tours part of the Irish Tourism group develop additional locations for the retreat format that are currently served only by tours.

The Parknasilla Resort & Spa, The venue for the Kerry Retreat, is marvelous. Delightful guest rooms, a comfortable meeting room for the workshops, delicious food, beautiful walks.

Carol Feller was the guide of our knitting workshops. She is a delightful person and an able instructor as well as being a talented designer. She gave us guidance through the retreat on executing our projects. She gave each of us individual attention as required. Carol was also a pleasant companion at meals.

If you're thinking about doing a retreat -- stop thinking and make reservations.

6-Night SW Ireland Knitting Retreat

The retreat was a wonderful experience from beginning to end, with a nice balance of knitting and sightseeing. Our knitting time with Carol Feller was so much fun, and I learned a lot from her. Both her project designs and yarn were a pleasure to work with, and Carol was a very patient and clear teacher. Our tour guide, Jane, was very engaging and really made the trip fun with lots of stories and information during the touring part of our trip. Our bus driver, Tim, was very capable and handled even the most hair-raising roads with calm expertise. The Parknasilla Resort was outstanding, with delicious food and amazing views. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip, and so did my non-knitting husband!

Aran Islands, Donegal and Causeway Coast Knitting Tour.

I highly recommend this tour. Never having been in Ireland before, I really appreciated the effort to include a wide variety of sights and general interest excursions. The "knitting/fiberart" excursions exceeded my expectations and the classes were great. There was still an appropriate amount of free time as well. Mary, our guide, and Pat, our driver, had a great rapport and did a wonderful job of introducing us to the sights, the people and the culture, all the while keeping us on track and on time! The included hotels and restaurants were very nice and I would go there again on my own. KnittingTours.com did an amazing job of putting a trip together for me in a way I never could have on my own. AND I met some wonderful new friends!

The trip was well organized

The trip was well organized, and the places where we stayed were very comfortable and in good locations. Except for one stop, which we all commented on, we had great teachers and classes to go to. Sightseeing locations were also enjoyable. The restaurants were ok except for the last one which was excellent. I would certainly take another trip with this company.

Aran Island, Donegal, Giant's Causeway knitting tour

The tour we took brought us to places I've always dreamed of visiting, plus other places I'm very glad to have seen. The knitting workshops and presentations were, for the most part, interesting and fun, and I really learned a lot.

But best of all, the guide and the driver were amazing. They shared their extensive knowledge of Irish history and locations, and they took wonderful care of us. We had relatives in Ireland and were able to meet with them with the assistance of the guide and driver.

I would strongly recommend that if you love to knit, a knitting tour is a perfect way to see the country of your choice and to receive all kinds of added benefits relative to knitting and other fiber work. It was unbelievable how much of both knitting and sight-seeing we were able to enjoy.

Overall the our was great great

Overall the tour was great. I would have loved some preparatory material that helped bridge the gap between the knitting terms that I have used all my life & those of North America which is what the tour was aimed at. At times I felt out of my depth & yet I have been a knitter all my life. Supplementary information or resources would have helped.

This trip exceeded my expectations

This trip exceeded my expectations! Our guide and driver did everything possible to show and tell us about Ireland. The knitting classes were informative and enjoyable. The yarn was good quality. The teachers knowledgeable and approachable.
We were treated like VIPS in Innishmore.

Just do it!

My first tour of any kind and I would do it again! Our guide and bus driver were knowledgeable, pleasant and accommodating to our interests. Particularly loved the west coast, Donegal area and Sliabh League - amazing! And, of course, you arranged for the beautiful weather. Saw castles, ruins, gardens, small towns, narrow roads, pastures and miles of picture-perfect landscapes and still had time for so many very good fiber arts experiences that were the common interest of our group. I have talked about you often since returning. Thank you all for your efforts to prepare this tour.
