Delightful!
What a wonderful week! The retreat was a great balance of field trips, hands-on activities, classes, and tourist activities. Everything went smoothly and Michele took good care of us. Best was a lovely group of fellow knitters! Most were there as solo travelers, which made it very easy to meet everyone. I would absolutely recommend.

This is Knit Retreat
Had a wonderful trip. Siobhan was so helpful in arranging pre-trip arrival and accommodations. Michelle was a well-organized and attentive tour guide and Paddy kept us safe on the roads! Covered a wide range of fiber arts experiences from visiting sheep farms to knitting techniques and everything in between!

Awesome Ireland!
The Tour Guide, Tour Driver, and the well-organized trip of Ireland made this trip fantastic. I would highly recommend Knitting Tours. Booking process, staff, hotels, venues, lessons, sight-seeing, shopping, were all terrific. Most special was going to the farm to see sheep and working border collies. So fun and special.

I enjoyed the Best of Shetland tour for…
I enjoyed the Best of Shetland tour for the most part. There are a few areas, like the food in Shetland, that could use a little improvement. Otherwise the tour was fantastic. We visited many great places and yarn stores. The classes were informative. Communication from the tour group was great.
I was a non knitter ´ on the tour
I was a non knitter ´ on the tour. Our guide made sure I had a selection of activities available during learning sessions, and checked up on us regularly. She was diligent in assuring I had a great experience.
Learned so much about Ireland (and knitting!)
I just returned from a 10-day tour of Ireland with knittingtours.com. It was a really incredible experience. Our guide, Freda O'Dea, was absolutely fantastic. She shared so much about Irish culture and music and politics and geography of where we were in history that it really made the trip so very special. We had multiple workshops with incedible knitters in Dublin, Inishmore and Belfast (among others) and got just a myriad of experience. It was so easy because they set up all the hotels, the transfers and a lot of the meals and the coach took us wherever we needed to go. We communicated with Nuala before the tour and she was great at working out any issues. Our coach driver, Beata, was amazing at maneuvering the bus through the tiny streets and some of the little towns. We had a group of 28 people, including four husbands, and the group was really super friendly and nice. It made for a very pleasant experience. I'm looking forward to taking another tour next year and can't recommend it highly enough.
KnittingTours.com Art of Aran tour April 2026
KnittingTours.com has provided me with three wonderful tours in the British Isles. My latest one, April 2026, was the Art of Aran with Edel MacBride as the featured instructor. The time with Edel was most enjoyable and educational. I would love to spend more time learning knitting skills from her. Our tour manager Freda and driver Pat herded our group of 24 well to the wide variety of places we visited during our tour. I will not hesitate to travel with Knittingtours again. *****
Our Knitting trip was absolutely fabulous
Our Knitting trip was absolutely fabulous. In 10 days of travel there really wasn't a bad moment. The hotels chosen were great, food was scrumptious, and all the activities were really above expectation. We all wi11 never forget our knitting time and other adventures on Inis Mor in the Aran Islands. Totally unique!
Our great bus driver really cared for our safety and did a great job of keeping us safe.
Besides our knitting adventures, we enjoyed baking at Howth castle, the Vintage Tea bus, making a silver ring at Silverworks, woolen mills, sheep excursions, and distillery adventures. Everything was well planned executed.

KnitSocial Tour
This is my second tour with Knitting Tours and the best by far. As a knitting tour, Dublin, Ireland was an excellent location. However, the planned activities and experiences exceeded my expectation. Besides knitting as a focus of the tour, the offer of other crafts such as baking and silvering were an unexpectedly fun, learning experiences. The Tour guide was personable, knowledgeable and entertaining. The coach driver was clearly an expert and guided us with confidence. Overall, best I’ve experienced.

Trip so good you'll want to go back
The trip was so well organized. We had a chance to meet local people and visit behind the scenes locations on mills and farms. The people we met were all warm and inviting. We will definitely return to Ireland!

I recently went on a knitting tour of Scotland. My tour guide, Kirsty, really made the trip. She was warm, knowledgeable, inclusive and organized. The trip overall was excellent. Wonderfully run
The tour guide, Michelle, was great, as was the driver, Senan. All hotels were clean and well appointed. Every class was informative and fun. I met so many lovely people and saw amazing sites. Thank you!

Fantastic tour
Excellent guide Michele and driver Senan.Varied itinerary which included sightseeing, knitting classes and Lovely countryside
Iconic locations included in the cliffs of Moher and Kylemore Abbey as well as more unusual places such as a working sheep farm. A highlight was the island of Inis oirr and gracious host Una, island was beautiful despite terrible weather.
Unfortunately, the trip coordinator Maria was not as organized and informative before the tour as I had hoped. Despite this I am going back for Scotland this fall. Also teacher Anne O’Malley was not engaging, And to be honest, a bit patronizing. I would not take another class with her

Fabulous tour
This tour was very well organized and well run and the activities were all interesting, educational, and memorable. The hotels and the food were fabulous! We had some free time as well. I went on my own but quickly made friends. I came home with plenty of yarn and wonderful memories.

Third trip, continued charm!
This was my third trip coordinated through Knitting Tours. First the guides are exceptional, they know the history, and subsequently the historical threads that weave throughout our journey. Their professionalism behind the scenes, addressing our needs, their respectful prodding to be on time but always aware of time needed to explore. We never rushed, it all seemed to be just right, despite wind, rain and an occasional traffic diversion, both the guide and driver delivered us safely and within expected timelines. The tour itself was full of sights and experiences that were beyond the typical tourist attraction, lunch at a revered golf club, Liz Spillane’s extraordinary home for workshop and tea, Oona’s cafe by the sea for instruction, cooking lessons and St Bridgid’s cross, all of this and more made this memorable journey. And then there’s the yarn, the knitters from all around the world, sharing the memory making with laughter and enthusiasm.

A very memorable experience.
It was very easy to book the tour. The tour itself was amazing. The workshops were very informative and the sight seeing was just beautiful. This was made possible by our tour guide who had a lot of knowledge and was able to provide information on everything we saw and did. Our driver was also very knowledgeable on what we saw in Ireland and this all contributed to a very memorable experience.

Irish Tourism Group is exemplary
Irish Tourism Group is exemplary. For me, as an 86 year old traveling alone the most important feature is not feeling alone. Everyone is so friendly and so focused on their love of knitting. I always feel part of the group.
