I have been a customer for many years and had no complaints until this time. I purchased a $3300 lathe, plus accessories totaling over $4000, with an agreement with your manager that I could purchase the assembled floor model. He told me he would have it on a pallet ready to load into my trailer for April 2, 2026. I needed the assembled model due to my old age , poor physical condition and it being much easier to get into my shop in one piece on a dolly rather than having to carry all the individual, very heavy cast iron pieces. I rented a dolly, borrowed a trailer and when I arrived after a 4 hour drive to pick it up I was told I could not have the floor unit. This resulted in me having to unload the 500lb+ lathe in pieces with so much difficulty that my body gave out and I dropped the head stock onto the concrete floor of my shop damaging it. Why did this manager make a deal with me then cancel the deal without informing me. I would not have purchased it had I known he had changed the terms of our agreement without informing me. I am purchasing a high end table saw, jointer and thickness planer shortly totaling well above $10,000….sadly it won’t be from KMS. Dennis (Kelowna wood working machinery floor guy) is excellent. His manager is a liar.

I was looking for a digital angle gauge and went to the new store on 184 st. A staff member helped me locate it, but it was sold out, so she checked and found it at the southside location. Then she helped me find a couple of Torx screwdrivers. Very nice. At the southside location, I found more helpful staff (and my DAG :). Obviously the product selection is awesome, but so are the staff.

I have shopped at KMS for a number of years and always default to them due to their selection and prices from everything for home repairs to fabrication. My experience in person and online has been 5/5. The customer service online provides very quick replies with great solutions.

Prices reasonable, good inventory, people to talk to.

The floor staff were absolutely fantastic helping my son and me as we went tru the store. It was at the checkout where I had problems with my gift card not being accepted for my purchase. Even your management couldn`t get it to work. I paid cash but made a remark that would be the last dollar I ever spend at KMS. its back to Busy Bee.

This company has its payment system so fuucked up that I could not even figure out how to pay for an item.

From Quebec City, I was looking for Knipex ratcheting knive skinners. Found it on KMS Tools less than cheaper than the other. It’s also in my country, Canada’s best.

So, straight up... a pretty basic visit to the store. I easily found what I was looking for on their online catalogue, after much research on the product. I called to confirm if it was in store, which it was. I went in (lots of parking), I strolled on down to the power tools section and the first person I saw actually went up to the warehouse and retrieved it for me. She asked me if I wanted to open the box there to check it out but I declined. The box was obviously unopened.

It's exactly what the online catalogue displayed and described. It was the lowest price of all the big box stores. Pleasant, helpful staff. Yeah, five stars up to this point.

Electrical apprenticeship in process, started with almost nothing for power or hand tools. About a year in now and have dealt with KMS by recommendation from colleagues on what to buy and taken advantage of several of the specials and clearances offered; so happy with everything KMS has provided as well as how they have supported with advice as well as when a Milwaukee battery failed under warranty. Zero problems, zero issues, prompt, friendly and accurate responses when purchasing online regarding ETA's and partial shipments, smiles for miles. A Big Orange competitor on the other hand couldn't organize a parade to an outhouse or coordinate cleanup in my recent tragic experience as the 'hands' weren't attached to the same brain; or even understand why underwear don't go on top of pants or head, despite the hours I spent on phone trying to explain. KMS is my go-to for tools and accessories.

I did my research on a Milwaukee chainsaw and case. I ordered everything online and was ready for pickup the next day. I work in plumbing wholesale and couldn’t get the price I got from KMS.
