I wouldn't even give it a star but you…

I wouldn't even give it a star but you have to put at least once the phone operators have bad attitudes 4 times in a row and was left wait in the rain for over an hour the last time and their was even one time my taxi ended up I'm heswell or something and nearly every time I have asked for a cab and got sent a car I just rang again today grate service in the morning but was told no cabs when I rang to go home the was even a whole family that were sent a car not a cab I don't get why one you dont get what you ask for even tho it's states online provides hackney services and the company name is king cabs disgusting taxi service all around can't even go shopping without haveing to wait 45mins atleast and that's at the rank outside Asda it's a joke maybe if king cabs didn't buy up all the other companys in the area it wouldn't be such a joke I for one will no use this service again even if it is the only service in the area

Taxi 10 minutes late for a trip to the…

Taxi 10 minutes late for a trip to the Airport (flying 2 long haul flights to NZ).
Despite explaining I required a vehicle large enough for 4 people plus a case each on booking, they sent a Ford Focus! Rather than miss flights my 84 year old father then drove as well so we could take 2 cars. Appalling I would NEVER trust them again.

Do not use this firm

Train to hooton ordered 10 mins before arrival at station. Operator said fine all booked no one advised at any point would be 1 hour 20 mins to arrive !! 4 calls made to chase..... woman on own outside station. Still no timescale given fro every chase up call!!! .....apart from 'its on its way !!!!'. A lift from family member declined due to taxi firm advising its on its way! Not a way to do business. No apology from driver and had to stop off and get cash as the driver said he didn't take contactless!! Avoid this firm at all costs!!! Do not use..shambles!!!

Not a customer - and I'm glad I'm not

Not a customer, but was travelling into Chester towards Waitrose (21st April, about 4.30pm). There were cars turning right and blocking the right-hand lane so I moved into the left to suddenly see there was a KingKab stopped on double-yellows, and as I swerved to avoid him he then pulled out in front of me. I then got back into the right-hand lane and he cut me up again. He then gave ME the finger before going through a red-light....

I notice that all reviews are one-star and no-one has responded to any of them, but I hope this little rant saves someone an experience

I wish I had seen these reviews before…

I wish I had seen these reviews before booking.
Pre booked KingKabs for return journey to Grand National and agreed the price. On 7th April I called to double check all was ok and I was advised if I wanted to use a card for payment to call again before being picked up. An hour before pick up time I called to pay over the phone only to be told there was no booking! I was then told it wasn’t a problem as a taxi would still be available for the trip both ways. I then was asked to pay the outward journey which I did £60 by card and received an email receipt saying payment taken and authorised at 09.41
Taxi turned up telling me I needed to pay the £60?! I showed him the email receipt and I thought that was the end of the matter.
On the return journey same taxi driver again tells me I have to pay the £60 owed for the outward journey. When we get back to my hotel taxi driver calls the office who at length tell me despite my receipt they have no knowledge of any payment from me. The office totally ignored the email receipt they had sent me stating there had been no payment and there was nothing on their system.I was left so upset made to feel as though I was being dishonest with no choice but to pay £60 on my card again.I am now left away from home trying to contact my bank in the hope that they can verify my payment and that KingKabs will give me a full refund. A weekend totally spoilt.

Dissatisfied!!

I contacted Kingcabs in Chester in good time well in advance to arrange for pickups from 3 separate addresses to take us all into Chester for a special party. It was agreed that either one or two cabs would pick up at 6:30. This did not happen, one of the cabs was so late that one of the party had decided to drive. The cab did eventually turn up stating that he had been booked literally as he was in a queue shopping minutes before. He eventually turned up almost 20 minutes after the booking time of 6:30 so that the guests arrived late for the party. Not good, and really frustrating when I had been calling to confirm that we would get transport for 6:30pm, which was confirmed by the receptionists I spoke to. 😡

Booking a Kingkabs taxi is like…

Booking a Kingkabs taxi is like flipping a coin. If you're lucky, a good driver will show up on time but if you're unlucky, you get a rude driver who is not only late but does not even apologize for his tardiness!!! Still, we put up with it, as there are sadly, no other taxi service available. The company knows that so they don't strive to do better for their customers. A word of advice to the customers: always allow for a buffer time when you book a Kingkabs taxi so you are not late for your work or event.

Aggressive and rude staff

I would give them zero if I could, shocking service from both Taxi driver and the lady on the phone! Taxi driver was aggressive and threatened me at one point just because he didn’t know how process an app payment properly. He told me to get out his cab and he will sort the payment out, after 20 minutes the payment was still in my account so I rang the office to make a payment and she was just as rude and useless. So patronising! Not once did she apologise for the drivers behaviour, not until I told her anyway, she laughed down the phone. I have used king kabs for 5 years twice a day 5 days a week for work purposes! Not anymore I will give my money to Abbey taxis

Terrible, awful, AVOID

Would give 0 if possible. Used twice with rude and poor service in both instances.

1. Taxi didn’t show up. When we rang and asked where the taxi was (booked 48 hours in advance) we were told just because we booked a taxi didn’t mean we were guaranteed a car or for it to arrive on time. The woman on the phone was very rude and told us to ‘be grateful as they were doing as a favour’.

2. The car arrived very early. We were then charged for ‘waiting time’, despite getting in the car before the booked time.

Will never use again.

It would be nil if I could give that

It would be nil if I could give that! Used to be reliable, not now. Let down andlate arrival, even though they knew destination was train station. Resulted in having to get another long distance taxi journey as would have missed important meeting.

AGGRESSIVE TAXI DRIVER.

Got a taxi from Sutton way to town and back, told driver I just needed to run in to get the change as didn't have enough on me to hand, he tries to snach my phone out my hand threatens to take me police station then starts speeding as I open the door to get out which resulted in me falling out to which i have a grazed for arm aall up the top of my arm aching feeling bruised my outer upper thigh is extremely bruised and I have a lump. Very painful to even lie down on that side and hurts to walk. Very disappointed in the people you are hiring. Wouldn't be the first issue I've had with your drivers can't belive this has happened.

Unreliable service and some disgusting workers!

The service is usually slow anyway, but today was completely unbelievable. The app said the wait was 17 minutes long, and as my medication was at home, I suspected the time frame would be legit. However, after 30 minutes I asked my friend to call and they said it would be another 15 minutes. After 50 minutes of waiting, they called again and the lady said “the car has just been assigned to a driver, it should be a few minutes more”. But 15 minutes later there’s still nothing! she proceeded to call KingKabs twice after that, but both times the same lady heard her voice, and hung up the phone on her. Not once was my friend rude to the lady, nor did she ever raise her voice! I nearly had a diabetic episode because of this disgusting service today.

Shocking service tonight

Shocking service tonight. 17 year old son left stranded for 45 minutes in retail park after pre booking a taxi for him. Your service has gone to pot and your have no consideration for your customers. Will post on Trust Pilot. About time you faced competition. Feel let down and disappointed. Thought you were better than this.

Do not book - your day will be ruined.One star as I cannot record no stars

One star as I cannot record no stars. Taxis booked for transport to and from a wedding on the outskirts of Chester. Both no shows! On chasing I was told by the call handler that booking - as I had done a week in advance and confirmed in follow up email, only guarantees a car but not at a specific time. Unfortunately they could not tell me when a car could be guaranteed! Deceiving the public, they cannot deliver and have the potential for leaving people stranded and they do not care! Not surprised they have not recognised the trust pilot site, they couldn’t care less.

Kingkab Taxi service NON EXISTANT on a weekend evening???

Last Saturday we booked a Kingkab Taxi out to Pesto at the yacht. After a beautiful family meal we contacted KK for our journey home.. Guess what??
No Taxis available??? Not "we are busy so there will be a wait" ... no options Just a flat "NO TAXI HOME" FOR THE WHOLE OF SATURDAY EVENING AFTER 10 PM???? absolutely disgusting. Struggled to phone family to drive out and ferry us home because Ellesmere port kingkab cover shuts down after 21.30 apparently on a Saturday night?
A town of 60.000 plus residents yet NO taxi cover?? This is a recurring theme, mention taxi cover for the town and its the same story of let downs,lack of service cover.
Discusting lack of service😡
