The cabs are fine but……

The cabs are fine but the lack of human contact on the phone is distressing.
The app is voiced by a computer which is pretty well useless leading to frustration and time wasting.

Drop the computer please Kingkabs.

Decent service

I was in Tarporley, all local firms were booked so my request was relayed to Kingkabs. They were on time, efficient and a decent price. they also take card payment. Decent service in remote locations.

Rude, unhelpful driver…

Driver sat in his car and watched me struggle with 8 full shopping bags and a baby in a car seat. Didn't even attempt to open the boot for me and then had the audacity to ask me to hurry up as he had another job lined up. Absolute joke!

Unprofessional and intimidating

I have used KK since my wedding last year and always found them to be great and recommended to many …..until last night. We were gifted a wedding present at a local restaurant and pre booked a taxi with KK. We received confirmation and an approx price £22
At 10.30 pm, when the taxi was outside, we revived a call to say the restaurant was out of area for KK and would actually be a lot more but they didn’t know how much …only that it would be at least as extra £40 just to be there! We had no choice but to take the taxi because it was late but it was £60 not £22z.
Almost as much as our meal .
Now my concern is that I have three daughters and if it was one of them and they didn’t have that sort of money they may have been left stranded.
On top of that the taxi I had booked was a chip and pin and it wasn’t working . The driver came right to the front door and insisted my husband give him our wi fi password and bank transfer the money. We felt quite intimidated.
He also advised that the ability to pre book on the app wasn’t quite set up properly yet and we should have also called KK as well !! Like what’s the point in the app which clearly gives the impression all is booked .
For reference an Uber was £19 but we stuck with KK even though they quoted £22 because we were loyal customers
Unprofessional and quite frankly would never ever rely on them to bring my daughters home . I do hope we are refunded out of courtesy because it completely ruined what should have been a special night .

Booked a taxi from chester ten bin bowling which has been open for a few weeks now and a driver called abbdulla could not find it. I rang the office to complain and the arrogant office supervisor said he is not responsible for drivers who don't have a clue about where they are going. Kingkab will employ anybody no however how useless they are about the geography of chester just because they are receiving settle money. They are a disgrace of a taxi company I'm not surprised everyone is starting to use uber

Usually great but driver aggressive and rude to me today.
Toyota RA65 KZP driver was rude and aggressive to me today in Morrisons car park around 18:30, I was trying to park and he was driver at me aggressively, really close and beeping at me even though I had clearly indicated where I was parking, he kept driving at me as I tried to reverse and then sped past me while making rude and obscene gestures. All with a customer in his cab. Disgusting behaviour.

Would give 0 if I could.

Would give 0 if I could. Never booked a cab with them personally but I'd love to know how to make a formal complain against a driver if anyone can inform me somehow - In Chester today, a driver turned into the small road where I was waiting to cross. He stopped, so I started to cross, he then began to reverse into me once I was a majority of the way across. The person I was with told him to watch where he was going and he shouted out the window, got out and told me (a female minor) to look into his camera, screaming in my face when he was at fault and behaving threateningly by standing practically on top of me. I would never use a service where even outside of the car I do not feel safe with the driver. I hope to two (I think) young lads in the back are alright and didn't have to pay someone clearly not fit to drive.

Booked taxi over a week in advance

Booked taxi over a week in advance, going to Liverpool Airport from Chester at cost of £56. Taxi never came. Automated reply stated they were looking for a driver. I waited a further 10mins, but couldn't wait more as would miss flight. Cancelled taxi. Booked an uber which arrived in 2mins. Taxi was £45. I made flight just in time as people were boarding.
I wrongly assumed that booking a taxi early meant i was sure they'd turn up. Id NEVER recommend nor use this firm again. Id even received an email and text prior, stating that the taxi was booked. This was worthless as taxi never appeared.
Use uber, at least they are reliable and you can track where vehicle is.
I intend being a frequent traveller so to/from airport will be more often so this kingkabs has missed out on making more profit in not picking me up. Their name should be KrapKabs and not KingKabs!!

Taxi was late...again.

Booked a taxi 2 hours ahead for a specific time. It arrived 10 minutes late with no warning it was running late. This isn't the first time it's happened. Driver told me it doesn't matter how far ahead you book, it all comes down to what cars are available at the time of your booking. So basically there is no point in booking. So if you have a train to catch or need to be at your destination at a particular time, use another company.

I attempted to arrange a taxi from Manchester Airport Terminal 2 to my home. The operator insisted on a deposit, which I agreed to despite being a loyal customer who had used their service just 10 days earlier. However, they never sent a link to make the deposit payment. After numerous calls, they eventually dispatched a taxi. Unfortunately, the driver spoke little English and promised to send me his location via WhatsApp, but I never received it. When I asked about the delay after waiting for over an hour at 3 am, he became aggressive. I contacted their customer service, where I encountered an apathetic operator who informed me that a complaint had been filed against me by the taxi driver, Sharyl. After wasting two hours without resolution, I opted to book another taxi from the airport to take me to Chester.

Give my daughter and her friends a…

Gave my daughter and her friends a price to take them home, then decided to add another £45 afterfirst drop off. Will stay with local taxi in the future instead of using this bunch of con artist.

Total let down!

Booked a cab on Thursday for pick up on the following Sunday as we were going out with friends for a birthday celebration didn’t want to risk leaving it till the actual day

Cab didn’t turn up and when I rang the automated voice said booking confirmed and cab was on its way 20 mins later still no cab so I called and spoke to someone in the office all she could say was that they didn’t have one available no apology for letting us down so no cab was on its way seems it didn’t occur to anyone at the firm to call and tell us??

Luckily 1 of the party hadn’t had a drink and was able to get us to the restaurant just on time for our booking

Won’t be using kingkabs again as obviously they have no thought for their customers
