Outdated server hardware.
The most expensive plan for minecraft (impact);
only gives AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, which is even worse than i9 13900k.. i do not recommend hosting a large
up to date modpack on this. also very expensive ram..

Support team first class!!!

The support on Discord was incredibly fast. I am not a total computer noob but this was my first experience with a server. They were so helpful and got me up and running right away. 10/10 would recommend!!!

The service has great value, the servers are stable, I've yet to run into CPU limits at all, and the sever panel is sensible and navicable. My only major complaint lies with the vertical layout for the server panel, it could use some work, but that's quite niche and I'll happily look over it for everything else Kinetic does right.

Been using their service for about 3 months now. I've been hosting a minecraft server with them and they are really helpful. Everytime I need assistance, they are quick to answer and get the problem resolved. I was having trouble with setting up a custom domain for my server and they helped me get it resloved with 1 hour.

The pricing of this service is affordable and good value for money compared to many other hosting services. but the more important bit is how great the customer support it. esspecially from their team members Cody Dupre, Chris, Carlton & Tj. very patient and happy to help esspecially for less tech savy customers. i haven't had an issue they have not been able to assist me with or resolve for me!

Great Service and Great Support

Quality - Kinetic Hosting cuts zero corners when it comes to providing top-of-the line servers to their customers. I have been using their budget server to host Minecraft for me and a friend, and let me tell you their hardware is amazing. Server takes me around 10 seconds to start with 100 mods. Insanity.
Pricing - Their servers are priced very well. A 4gb, 3 Threads server costs $4 a month which was quite shocking to me since I used Bisect Hosting and Godlike Host before which are more expensive. Kinetic Host charges you a FRACTION of what the competitors would.
Customer Care - Great response times on their discord channel. Very helpful and patient. Im sure their support tickets on the website offers similar response times, I was just roaming around their channel and thought I’d ask a couple questions while I was there.
Competitors - Again, I came from Bisect Hosting where I was being charged 4 times as much for the same amount of ram. I have no technical complaints with Bisect, it’s just that they were too expensive for me. Godlike was cheaper but Kinetic Hosting offers the best prices with zero compromise.

I HIGHLY recommend Kinetic Hosting if you’re looking to rent a server.

The website isn't the easiest to figure out. Unlike other competitors, there doesn't seem to be an option to see who has logged in and when. I can't give admin status to someone offline. In addition, we have had a number of connection issues. It may kick someone from the server, and then refuse to allow them back on because it thinks they are still there. I can't kick that person off manually, and must instead reset the server every time it happens.

**Features Provided for Minecraft Servers.**
Kinetic Hosting lets you choose not from a list of provided mods and plugins but it lets you upload your own using a efficient sftp uploader. I've personally used filezilla. You can also just upload files to their website directly if you prefer.

Kinetic Hosting has a UI which provides installers for forge and plugins but if you want to do both you'll have to get your own installer. Which is fairly easy.

Kinetic Hosting lets you pick your CPU threads and Ram. If you're looking to run a 1.20.1 non laggy server of like 5 people with 50 mods (no machine mods) and 5 plugins then you can pay only like 4$ which is reasonable. You can pay 12$ if you're looking to run something with more mods or players. You do have to pay for a custom IP that's not just a jumble of numbers.

Kinetic Hosting has a very user friendly UI which lets you run automatic scheduled commands so that's nice. Additionally Kinetic Hosting lets you easily set players to moderator or banned. It lets you provide staff accounts some level of access to the server console/files if you wish.

**The Alternatives to Kinetic Hosting.**
Sure, you could run a server on your own machine but that usually consumes quite a bit of electricity and requires you to dumpster dive for computer equipment to run it on. Also that old computer equipment can break down and people can brute force ping connect to your computer's IP to force the server offline. Kinetic Hosting's servers are 24/7 and they manage the actual maintenance of the hardware running the servers.

I used to use Aternos/Exaltron. Aternos is free but not 24/7 which means you can't advertise your server on certain reddit pages. Exaltron is very pricey.

I also used to use Shockbyte. Shockbyte is a little bit pricer than this service as of now. Shockbyte also basically migrated my server to a new website at one point but they didn't move my automatic scheduled commands. They also screwed up the server installation and when I went to reinstall the installation it deleted all my files. I recommend using Kinetic Hosting rather than Shockbyte since Kinetic Hosting provides the UI and features like Shockbyte but doesn't come with all these strings attached. Oh also, if you want to run mods with plugins on Shockbyte, tough luck because there's weird error messages as well as crashing if you use a custom.jar file like arclight, mohist, or magma (btw as of right now magma has a 0 day exploit so...maybe steer clear of them). Kinetic Hosting lets you actually run arclight and mohist and doesn't generate error messages/crash.

I used Pebblehost briefly and they seem okay but they don't let you use scheduled commands unlike Kinetic Hosting as far as I'm aware. Their UI is also less user friendly and robust.
