Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 479 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers are extremely dissatisfied with the product's new recipe, describing it as having a horrible taste and an unappetizing texture, often compared to cardboard, twigs, or even plastic. People report that the cereal no longer absorbs milk, remaining hard and crunchy, which is a significant departure from the original product they enjoyed for many years. Consumers feel that the quality has drastically declined, with some even throwing away entire boxes due to its inedible nature. Reviewers also express strong disappointment regarding the pricing, noting that the product's cost has not decreased despite the perceived reduction in quality and fiber content. Many believe the changes were made to prioritize profit over customer satisfaction and product integrity, leading them to switch to alternative brands.

Have been eating All-bran for years

Have been eating All-bran for years, recently bought the new and improved recipe and what a disappointment, have them with warm milk where they normally soften but now that just stay hard and taste stale, will not be buying another box 😭

Kellogg's All Bran New Recipe

I have eaten Kellogg's All Bran for years and have just opened my first box of new recipe, I wish had known of all the previous reviews before I blindly added to my shopping trolley. The new recipe is rank! This box will be my last, supermarket own brand from now on, unless of course they are also manufactured by Kellogg's. Kellogg's have scored a massive own goal here.

Really unpleasant to eat

Cant believe I am reviewing a cereal - having bought a large box I had not heard about the recipe change. It is very unpleasant to eat, I really dont think I can eat another serving and as much as I hate food waste, this is goung in the bin. I wont be buying again.

Revised recipe for Kellogg All Bran- horrendous

I have eaten Kelloggs All Bran for many years and have always enjoyed their product. The new recipe All Bran was obviously designed by someone who doesn’t eat the product regularly. The pieces are too large, taste pasty and do not absorb the milk, and are obviously sweetened. It’s disgusting and Kelloggs have certainly lost my custom. Avoid this if you enjoyed All Bran in the past

This new All bran is revolting

This new All bran is revolting. When I saw new improved I foolishly bought 3 boxes. Tried first box, tasted horrible, nothing like all bran, texture was rock hard and like plastic and definitely didn't have the desired effect on the bowels😱
Even the dog didn't like it, birds ignored it. I threw remains of the box away. I apologise to the people at the food bank, as I put the other two boxes in with my food donations.
I contacted Kelloggs , they assured me it had been taste tested and resoundingly approved , can't imagine who tested it😱
So, I will not be buying it again, I tried Bran flakes but not as effective 😱 so here's to the prunes😂
Pity Trustpilot don't have a NO star option, they really should.
Think of all the older customers who are not into writing reviews, but will not be buying this horrid substitute for what was a brilliant breakfast used by generations.
Maybe, when Kelloggs see the massive fall in sale they will realise.
"It wasn't bust, so shouldn't have fixed it"

Another customer lost

Can't give zero stars so one star it is.

I had no idea Kelloggs had changed the recipe of All Bran until I bought this latest box. I thought something was wrong when the contents looked like little grey sticks. They don't soften in the milk and I'm in constant danger of breaking my teeth on the hard little beggars.

Also I noticed it's got less fibre and more sugar - almost as if they are catering for the American market.

What on earth have you done Kelloggs? It used to be the only cereal I would eat as the rest is full of sugar but no more.

Another customer lost.

0 Rating!

0 Rating! I didn’t realise it was a new product until I tasted it and thought it was off! Swollen, disgusting and nothing like bran. Must be cheaper to make or they wouldn’t have changed it yet they re-brand it in almost the same packaging so customers don’t realise they’ve bought the wrong cereal. The dogs refused to touch it and the birds left it as well. But it must fill you up because it survived a weeks rain and made me more annoyed by having to sweep it up from the grass!

New All Bran recipe is simply awful

The new All Bran recipe is simply awful. It’s like eating plastic extruded strands of god knows what! It doesn’t taste of anything, nor does it absorb milk. It feels over processed. I will throw the packet away and switch to another product. Kelloggs have ruined what was a good traditional product.

All bran ruined by 'new recipe'

Tastes horrible, like cardboard, slimy. Wont dissolve into my porridge. Ruined my same breakfast of 45 years. Im upset! Can't eat it! Recipe has gone from 86% wheat bran to 78% wheat bran + wholewheat flour!! Kellogs says improved manufacturing..... do they really mean more profit? Certainly not benefit of customer.

I’ve been eating Kelloggs All Bran for…

I’ve been eating Kelloggs All Bran for my breakfast for the last 20 years and I can honestly say the new recipe is absolutely horrendous! It’s like eating hard twigs and genuinely has no taste. I will not be buying this product ever again!

Disgusting

Agree with all previous reviews re All Bran, the new receipe, absolutely disgusting, and I've been eating All Bran for years. I wrote to Kelloggs, got a email back offering me a £4 voucher - told them to keep it! Good news, Sainsburys High Fibre is a very good alternative and it's only £2
