Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 479 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers are extremely dissatisfied with the product's new recipe, describing it as having a horrible taste and an unappetizing texture, often compared to cardboard, twigs, or even plastic. People report that the cereal no longer absorbs milk, remaining hard and crunchy, which is a significant departure from the original product they enjoyed for many years. Consumers feel that the quality has drastically declined, with some even throwing away entire boxes due to its inedible nature. Reviewers also express strong disappointment regarding the pricing, noting that the product's cost has not decreased despite the perceived reduction in quality and fiber content. Many believe the changes were made to prioritize profit over customer satisfaction and product integrity, leading them to switch to alternative brands.

What has happened to All Bran??

Having eaten All Bran virtually every single day for over 50 years, I usually put it in the fridge with milk, overnight, to make it mushy, then add granola, nuts, etc (much to the hilarity of my family!) I was shocked to discover that, having bought a new box, the All Bran hadn't gone mushy the next morning, and tasted like rubber..
I persevered for a day or two, before realising that the box said "Fibre Plus", and that the ingredients had been tweaked😬
Now that I can't find any packets of the "Original" on any shop shelves, I have taken to buying other shops' own brands which, though not quite as lovely as the original All Bran, at least go mushy and don't taste like rubber. Please bring back the Original recipe, even if just as an alternative option to the Fibre Plus. Thank you.

New Allbran is disgusting

They've totally ruined Allbran. It's disgusting. It's like they hunted for the worst own-brand ripoff they could find and decided that would be the new recipe. I've thrown a nearly full box of it in the bin and it's the last box I will ever buy,

All-Bran Original - where are you?!?!?

All-Bran has always been my favourite cereal - because of the malty taste, the texture AND because it makes me go! But mainly, because I love the taste. In recent years I’ve been adding sunflower, flax and pumpkin seeds and…it’s just ‘lovely’.
This morning I opened my fresh, new box and… good god what have they done to it?!?
Smooth, plasticky, little-to-no taste - and what taste there is seems fake/processed. My mouth now feels like it has a faint coating of…plastic?
It tastes like the very worst of a bad lot of the rip-offs of All-Bran that was already out there. Dreadful.
The M&S version wasn’t great when I tried it either, but I would definitely buy that before this faux-All-Bran monster.
Dreadful.
Sort yourselves out Kellogg’s/Kellanova.
I don’t know who you asked in your taste tests when trialling this slop… but I think you might have been set-up by your competitors!
Absolutely horrible - I imagine those little, plastic ‘worm’ packing shapes would taste similar. And I wouldn’t pay for those either!

Kelloggs changed their recipe

Kelloggs changed their recipe, allegedly, to save money.
So I would like to thank them as they have saved me quite a bit of money.
Their new recipe is so horrible I’ve had to try supermarkets own brands. I have tried them before but always came back to All Bran as I preferred the taste and texture. But Kellogs new recipe has meant that I now prefer supermarket brands. Asda is best so far and half the price of Kelloggs.
So thank you to Kelloggs their search to save money has worked, for me at least.
Don’t suppose it’s saved them much as their market share must have plummeted reading these reviews.

Kelloggs All Bran has changed for the worse

Kelloggs All Bran has changed. So much changed. the new recipe has a texture that is much like chewing string when soaked, and no taste at all. Kelloggs say it is to avoid food waste! what a nonsense. It'll be to save them money. there are plenty of alternative brands now to choose between, and save your cash. Why pay more for the Kelloggs label if you're being taken for mugs?

I have been eating Allbran for many…

I have been eating Allbran for many years not just because I like the taste but also because it kept me 'regular'. I recently bought 2 boxes without realising the recipe had changed. It was not nice at all, I didn't like the taste or texture and it doesn't soften in the milk, so both boxes went in the bin. The best alternative I have found is Waitrose High Fibre Bran Sticks, taste and texture is almost identical to the original Kelloggs Allbran recipe and it keeps me 'regular' too.

New All Bran

What angers me most about the new All Bran is that the new packaging is virtually identical to the old. So many people, like me, are being conned into buying this new inedible garbage, thinking they were buying the proper product. Very dishonest. Very sneaky. Shame on you, Kellogg's.

The New All Bran recipe is in our view…

The New All Bran recipe is in our view like eating grit. We have purchased your old recipe for many years, but certainly will not be purchasing it again. We have found an alternative in Sainsburys which we will be purchasing from now on, even if you decide to bring your old recipe back. It is quite a bit cheaper as well.

New Recipe All Bran

Why try to fix something when it’s not broken?! Having enjoyed All Bran for many years I am so disappointed at the New Recipe All Bran which in my opinion is inedible. I certainly won’t be buying again. Listen to your customers and revert to the original recipe please!

Kellogs All bran Fibre plus is horrid

Kellogs All bran Fibre plus is horrid. It is inferior in every possible way to the "original" recipe. I just don't want to eat it so will try to return it to the store. Kellogs, listen to your loyal customers. Nobody likes this rubbish. Why ruin a perfectly good product? Is it cheaper to produce?

New AllBran is just awful

Similar to everyone else here, the new AllBran is so bad, I tried to adjust but I cant. My mum said the same, and my son wont eat it. We have been eating this daily for years and can't understand why it was changed to something so so so bad. I have logged a complaint with Kellogs too so the team can hear the feedback from customers, but from the sounds of it loyal customers all feel the same way. Its like cardboard now, and so uncomfortable to eat.

Frightening All bran new recipe

All bran new recipe. Doesn't soak in any milk, waited half an hour for a layer of slime to build up on the outside of the hard interior of the twig. Inedible to humans, birds and even Labradors that usually eat anything! It was good for 50 years, for goodness sake dont try using your all bran recipe book from the 60s, or 80s, its a choking hazard.
