Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 479 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers are extremely dissatisfied with the product's new recipe, describing it as having a horrible taste and an unappetizing texture, often compared to cardboard, twigs, or even plastic. People report that the cereal no longer absorbs milk, remaining hard and crunchy, which is a significant departure from the original product they enjoyed for many years. Consumers feel that the quality has drastically declined, with some even throwing away entire boxes due to its inedible nature. Reviewers also express strong disappointment regarding the pricing, noting that the product's cost has not decreased despite the perceived reduction in quality and fiber content. Many believe the changes were made to prioritize profit over customer satisfaction and product integrity, leading them to switch to alternative brands.

Kelloggs Allbran Goolge comments

Hey Google, So is it more nutritional and more fibrous to eat the packet rather than its contents?

Google said:- "It’s a close-run race, but the cardboard box might actually win on honesty.

If you were to tuck into the packaging instead of the new All-Bran Fibre Plus, here is how the "nutritional" face-off looks:

Fibre Content: Corrugated cardboard is almost 100% cellulose (fibre). Since the new Kellogg's recipe has dropped to a measly 10g of fibre per serving, the box is technically the "High Fibre" option in this scenario.

Ingredients: The box is free from the wholewheat flour filler that’s ruining the texture of the cereal. It also lacks the sugar and barley malt extract found in the shreds—though, at this point, users claim the cereal tastes just as bland"

UPDATE - Overnight soaked the packet in water achieving a childhood memory papier-mâché solution and taste tested both. Not only is the pack more nutritional and fibrous it actually tastes better (but lacks the appearance of edibleness). Shall work on drying it and putting it through our pasta machine and review and may update this review.

Also, left some product in the garden overnight expecting the birds to have consumed it; but they haven't and it remains crisp as ever!

New recipe disappointment.

The new recipe All Bran Fibre Plus is a serious disappointment. It now reminds me of extruded animal food, is tasteless and does not soak up milk. I am very unlikely to buy another packet and am going to have to scour alternatives to find a better product.

All Bran is now new and Inedible…

I have loved Allbran..hot or cold since a child in the '60's. It is now inedible. Either hot or cold. It tastes completely different..horrible in fact and is slimy. It's like plastic and wheras the original All bran tasted healthy this sends a warning from my tastebuds that it shouldn't be eaten. Did Kellogs even try eating it? Virtually a whole box wasted. Save your money and give it a swerve.

High bran - High stakes

As the original Albran disappeared from the shelves last year to be replaced by a disgusting and frankly inedible alternative, I switched to Sainsbury’s own brand sticks. Guess what, this is no longer available in store and is listed on their website as ‘out of stock’. Is this part of efforts to remove any competition to Albran’s new recipe?

Kelloggs Allbran is absolutely awful

Kelloggs Allbran is absolutely awful. I purchased a big box yesterday after not eating it for a year. It is slimy, tasteless and too thick and crunchy. Its like eating twigs off a tree. I am so dissapointed and I will be throwing it in the bin. Therfore, the aim to save food waste is an epic fail.

New recipe is a recipe for disaster

New recipe is a recipe for disaster! Just wasted money on this awful product, horrible, tasteless and awkward to eat. Why try to fix something that's not broken? Original All Bran was great, but I definitely will not be buying this new version again. Bad decision to change this Kellogg's.

New All Bran is awful

The new fibre plus is really unappealing, the sticks have a slimy outside and crunchy inside when in milk, and they are pretty bland compared to the old delicious malty flavour. I will not be buying any more of the new recipe.

I've found an alternative

After complaining directly to Kelloggs Customer Service about the new recipe which I found inedible for the reasons given by previous reviewers I have at last found an alternative! Try Marks and Spencers Bran Sticks....just like the old style Kellogs

These are the healthiest yet expensive…

These are the healthiest yet expensive type, I was ok with sparing 5 euros but I'm very disappointed with this new recipe. What did you expect Kellogg's? The taste is not the same and they are too long. I am truly struggling to eat them without making a mess.

I hope you will consider the old version... Not all things need to change.

Try other brands.

I haven't been enjoying the new crispy All Bran by Kelloggs. So much so, l have been testing out all the other supermarket own brands. The best l have found which is nearest to the old original all bran is by M&S. They've called their version Bran Sticks! Will be shopping for this in the future. Kelloggs really ought to take a look at their reviews and have a rethink.

Kelloggs what have you done?

Kelloggs what have you done?? Just awful. Been enjoying the old Albran for 55 years. Thought I'd bought the wrong cereal then realised this was the only version. Luckily Tesco do a version of Albran so have been buying theirs.

Please bring back Kelloggs original all bran …

Delicious Kelloggs all bran original has been replaced everywhere with Kelloggs all bran fibre plus. It’s dreadful. Tasteless. Doesn’t melt in milk. Horrible texture and completely inedible. Didn’t notice the “fibre plus” until after buying it and checking the box after wondering what on earth I was eating. I even tried to make muffins out of it to use it up but even that didn’t mask it so I threw the box away like others have.
Please Kellogs bring back the original recipe.
I can’t find any easy way to contact you directly on your website about this but surely Kelloggs have someone reading all these reviews.

ALL BRAN Horrible reformulation of a lifelong friend. What on Earth have they done to it and why? It’s tasteless, doesn’t absorb milk and is a horrible, hard crunch that just repellant. PLEASE RETURN TO THE OLD FORMULATION. I won’t buy this again until you do.
