SCAM ??

Beware
Ordered in good faith recently with delivery stated as October
Within days got an update advising me that delivery had slipped. The email offered a refund if not happy with this delay.
I requested a refund - no response from the company despite sending follow up emails
SCAMMED 🤦🏻‍♂️
Luckily I paid by credit card

Troy, this is Guille, the owner. You are right that nobody answered you, and I understand why you wrote this. Both of your emails landed in our spam folder and I only found them this morning. Our mistake, and I am sorry for it. Your order is cancelled and the full 243.20 GBP is going back to your card today, no conditions and nothing for you to do. I have written to you directly as well. Anyone who does not want to wait for a pre-order gets their money back in full, always. This time the failure was that we did not see your message, and I would rather say that plainly than explain it away.

Don't recommend -- Poor Customer Service & Quality

I am updating my review of KeepThemSpinning. I ordered "The Digger's Stack: Complete Vinyl Station" on May 19th, 2026, with expected shipping in late June 2026 as per the confirmation e-mail sent the same day. I contacted the company in late August, three times by e-mail to inquire about the status of this order, and got precisely zero response. Then the order was marked as shipped on August 31st and delivered on September 4th. It was only after writing my first acerbic review on Trustpilot that I got their management and customer service to finally take notice. They offered to track the package if I filled out an affidavit that I did not receive the order, which I was happy to do, only to find that the PDF was corrupted. The package finally showed up at my door, 24h after it was marked delivered at my address, delivered in hand by the courier.

Now for the quality of the piece -- I understand this is a specialty item, designed for a specific purpose (hold one's vinyl collection), but the quality is overall very poor. The 'wood' making up the panel of the boxes is very lightweight, and the anchor points for the hardware are not square with the panel surfaces. The final assembled piece looks "ok", but the panels have large gaps, and the boxes are not square. The assembly hardware is of low quality. This is certainly much lower overall quality compared to anything you can get from IKEA for half the price. Again, this is a specialist item, and one cannot compare it to IKEA (given size of operations), but the quality differential is very visible for a much higher price point. Not a good value from my perspective, and problematic customer service to boot. A lot of room for improvement. Know what you are buying...

Jean-Luc, thank you for updating this. You did not have to take back what you said about our honesty, and doing it in public says more about you than about us.

The service failures you list are real and I am not going to dress them up: three emails unanswered in August, a delivery scan that fired a day before the parcel actually reached your door, and an affidavit that would not even open. Every one of those is ours.

On the piece itself I owe you an explanation rather than an apology, because the two things you are comparing are not the same material. A Kallax is engineered board with a printed surface: it can be milled identically a million times, which is exactly why it looks uniform - and also why a shelf rated for 13 kg starts to bow under a row of records, which weighs 23 to 25. Ours is solid paulownia. Solid timber has grain, uneven density and it moves with humidity, and that is the reason it carries the weight of a collection without sagging. Machine uniformity is what you trade away to get that. Different grain, different tone, the odd knot: that is wood, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

But that is not what you described. Large gaps between panels and boxes that do not sit square are not the timber - that is our cutting tolerance, and it is ours to fix. You are not the only person who has run into it in that batch, we know where it comes from, and it is the specific thing being corrected in the current production.

What we do when a piece is not right is the same for everyone: we replace it or we refund it in full, and we do not argue about it. I have written to you privately with both options, because I would rather you took one than kept a piece you do not enjoy. - Guillermo, co-founder

Disappointing!

Very late delivery. The lid is way too fragile. 2 already broken.
The dimensions are not ideal when the lid is up: vinyl with sleeve touches the upper side.

Nicolas, two broken lids is not something I'm going to explain away. Send your order number to admin@keepthemspinning.com and replacements go out at my cost, with nothing to send back. If you'd rather have the money back on those units instead, that works too.

You've also pointed at something we were already moving on. The next production runs change the lid to a magnet system in the corners. That solves the fragility, and it also means the lids lift off and go back on easily, so with several modulars, or a Library, you can rearrange which units stay open and which stay closed whenever you feel like it.

On the clearance: you're right that a sleeved 12" touches the top when the lid is fully open. That's a limit of the current design, not you measuring wrong, and anyone reading this before buying deserves to know it.

On the delay you're right as well. Freight rerouting added weeks to our containers and we were slower than we should have been at telling people where their orders were. That part is mine.

Ordered Vinyl storage

We had a great contact with Guille from Keep’em spinning. That went very good. He is a nice guy and answers your questions fast. Also good communication about the delivery of the packages.

The assembly was easy if you have some experience putting things together. So it was no problem for me. I’m satisfied all together. Good price for what you get.

Thank you for this. The assembly is the part we go back and forth on the most internally, so it's good to hear it went together without a fight. We keep the hardware deliberately simple so nothing beyond what's in the box is needed.

If the collection outgrows it, the units stack, so you can add rather than replace. And if anything ever goes wrong with it, you know where to find me.

Keep Them Spinning is a fantastic brand…

Keep Them Spinning is a fantastic brand for anyone who truly values their vinyl collection. Their products combine thoughtful design, excellent functionality, and a clean, modern look that makes organizing and displaying records feel like part of the listening experience.

What impressed me most was the attention to detail and the clear understanding of what vinyl collectors actually need. The products feel sturdy, well designed, and made to complement a space rather than simply provide storage. The customer service was also friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to making sure I had a positive experience.

It is refreshing to find a company that is clearly passionate about vinyl culture and stands behind its products. I would confidently recommend Keep Them Spinning to both new collectors and longtime vinyl enthusiasts looking for attractive and practical storage solutions.

Jorge, thank you. "Part of the listening experience" is exactly what we're aiming at: storage that belongs in the room rather than apologising for being there.

The detail work is the slow part and the part nobody is supposed to notice, so being noticed for it is the good kind of surprise. Enjoy the records.

Bought a single Vinyl Modular cube in…

Bought a single Vinyl Modular cube in walnut to get my records off the floor. Real solid wood you can feel the weight when you lift it and it swallowed about 55 LPs with sleeves without any bowing. The finish looks better in person than in the photos. Assembly was maybe fifteen minutes with the included hardware. Ended up putting my turntable on top, which works better than I expected. Ordering a second one to stack.

Ruben, this review is worth more than our whole catalogue page. 55 LPs with sleeves and no bowing is exactly the number we were chasing. Most shelving on the market gives up well before that because it was designed for books, not records, and books do not weigh what vinyl weighs. The turntable on top is not luck either: the top panel is built to take the weight of a deck on purpose. When you order the second one, stack them with the grain running opposite ways. It looks better than you would expect. Thanks for taking the time to write it in this much detail. Guille

Great storage for vinyl!

We absolutely LOVE our gorgeous, wooden boxes from Keep 'Em Spinning! They are well-made and the design is very good. We also like the stickers that were included to hide the screws. That’s what I call great attention to detail!

The only reason I have given 4 stars is that we had to wait a long time for our delivery. However, I would definitely recommend Keep ‘Em Spinning to anyone that needs solid storage for their precious vinyl.

Trish, thank you, and that fourth star is fair. The wait was long and we are not going to argue with it. The stickers made our day, by the way. They are one of those details you add without knowing whether anyone will ever notice. On the delay, here is the straight version: this was a pre-order, it said so on the site and it came at a real discount, but an international supply situation threw our whole chain out. We have never refused a refund to anyone at any point, and even so almost everybody chose to wait. That you would still recommend us after that wait is what tells us the furniture was worth it. AI-based marketing-driven vaporware scam

I pre-ordered on June 4, 2026 a four-unit modular box system for $415.63 shipped, with the expectation it would be shipped in early July--according to the company. July came and went, no contact from the company. The prices kept creeping upward on the website though, and more promises of pre-ordered items for August and September shipment. I also took a closer look at the marketing graphics and noticed everything was AI generated. This triggered alarm bells.

I found the company's Etsy and Amazon shops. Conspicuously missing from their product lineup were the modular boxes. They only carried the metal shelving. The Instagram is similarly suspect--all the marketing images and videos are AI generated.

On July 27th, I reached out to the company about my order. I was given a date range of August 1 - 10th that my order would be shipped. There was an apology, but no more additional information.

A week and a half later, a mailing list marketing email is received stating a number of excuses as to why everything was delayed and a promise that "we" would begin receiving notifications of our shipments on August 10 and "all" of our orders would arrive by the end of the month. It's now August 25th, I've not received a tracking number or notification. I'm in the US, so I find it hard to believe the company could get it to me before September without taking a major loss. So I don't believe they will.

I've requested a refund as of today and will update the review accordingly. I honestly expect the company to try and BS with one of its AI-generated messages to try and get around refunding my money. This all seems like an elaborate scam to get funding for a big idea that they fell flat on their face executing.

Theo, your refund is processed. No conditions, no phone call, no attempt to talk you out of it. Send your order number to admin@keepthemspinning.com and it is done the same day. Since you predicted we would try to wriggle out of it, here is the plain fact: we have never refused a refund to anyone. Not once, in more than 8,000 orders. Any pre-order can be cancelled at any point and the money comes back. That is the answer to the word scam. On the delay you are right and I am not going to dress it up. You ordered on 4 June, we said July, then August, and you are still empty-handed. That part is ours and I am sorry for it. What sits behind it is a delay in the supply of the cut raw material we build with, and demand that ran well past what we had planned for. More than 500 people are still in that queue right now. Every one of them can have their money back today, and most are choosing to wait instead. People do not wait three months for something they do not want. On the images: some of our product visuals are renders and we should label them as such. That is a fair hit. The customer photos are not renders. They are real setups sent by real people, and the furniture in them is the same solid wood we ship. On Amazon and Etsy: the modular units are not there because we cannot list stock we do not physically hold, and those channels do not work for pre-order. Only the steel pieces are there, because those we hold. That is the whole reason. - Guillermo, co-founder

There's cheaper options out there but…

There's cheaper options out there but for quality and practicality and looks, these can't be beaten for the price, in my opinion. Ok, they take a few mins to build (they arrive flat packed) but it's not difficult and it slightly adds to the atmosphere that you built them yourself. I would highly recommend

4 months after purchase and still waiting

Have bought a vinyl storage kit in early May 26 and have still not received it. First promise was for July, then I received a long email with excuses telling shipment would resume on August. We are approaching September and no sign of receiving the goods. I recommend holding your purchase for a good year until they normalise their operations.

Fabiano, you shouldn't have had to come here to find out where your order was. That part we got wrong, and I'm not going to dress it up. The rest is what it is. You bought a pre-order, at the pre-order price, and that's a deal with two halves: you trust us early and pay considerably less than someone buying a piece that's already sitting in the warehouse, and in exchange you wait. It ran longer than we said. Shipping routes, and a call we made mid-production to change the anchor to a steel thread set flush into the solid wood, so it takes the real weight of a collection and can be taken apart and rebuilt as many times as you like. It cost us weeks we didn't have. We'd make the same call again. And the whole time, your money was one message away. We have never refused a refund to anyone. So it's your call: if you want the furniture, send me your order number and I'll tell you exactly where yours is today. If you'd rather have the money back, say the word and it's done. — Guille
