Unhelpful time wasting

I worked for a company who went into insolvency, handled by JT Maxwell. All staff were owed notice pay and redundancy pay. JT Maxwell were extremely unhelpful and not proactive at all. We did eventually receive redundancy pay but had to go to a employment tribunal to get our notice pay. The director/my old employer told blatant lie after lie, including fraudulent pay slips and letters claiming notice of termination. These were all proven to be lies beyond a shadow of a doubt using metadata and other means. Yet JT Maxwell took our employers word over hard evidence. Wasted so many people's time and cost the tax payer money by letting it go to a tribunal hearing which we had to attend three times.

Over 6 months waiting and ignored!

It’s now April 2025, and I am still waiting on wages owed to me from a company that went into insolvency in Plymouth, which JT Maxwell has been handling. It’s been many months of contacting and battling since I was first promised my outstanding wages and holiday accrued, which were due at the end of April 2024.

The situation has created considerable hardship for my family, especially during the Christmas period as I struggled to find money to have the basic essentials for the Christmas period for my 3 young children, or even presents. I’ve done everything required from my side, and I continue to chase and hope that this can be resolved swiftly in 2025.

I will continue to chase this but currently after 1 year of chasing, I have now been handed over from JT Maxwell to a subsidiary company for the handling of the outstanding amount as JT Maxwell don't appear to be able to handle this as they have made such a mess of the insolvency leaving these problems. The battle continues..

Friendly, approachable and professional

Having come to the sad conclusion that I had to wind up my late son's business, having kept it going for a year after his sudden death, I have nothing but praise for the friendly, approachable but professional approach demonstrated by JT Maxwell. They have taken me through everything step by step and I feel confident that the process will be seamless.
