Ever since they changed the redemption policy of their “scramble on Thursday”, Drop has become useless. I have enough points to redeem 100$ but I can even get a 5$ card because at 1:00:05pm every Thursday, the gift cards are gone. They say there’s 8 million dollars worth of cards available. That’s not possible. I’ve been trying to win the gift cards I’m owed for months and months and never get anywhere. I hope someone starts a class action against these scammers

Horrible. Have tried to claim gift cards for months. They said there was an issue, refunded my points, and now I keep waiting in a cue every Thursday despite clicking redeem on a gift card at 1:00:00 PM EST and still not able to redeem. What a waste of what was once a good company who has also essentially stolen $150 of money that is owed to me.

With the changes to redemption it’s absolutely impossible to get anything of value, or at all. Gift cards “sell out” in less than a minute every week. Do not bother adding this app.

Used to get gift cards no problem no you can’t get one period I have over 230,000 points and cannot get anything set alarm every Thursday for last 6 months to be ready the second my phone says 1pm and cannot get a gift card says immediate sold out I am pissed and have unlinked my credit cards from them and just keep trying on principal owed 230k in Gift cards hoping to join a class action suit if it happens

If they had a 0 star option, that is what I would choose at this point. I have almost $150 worth of points that I have been trying to redeem for over a year. Before they changed it to a maximum of $25 and this ridiculous redemption system, I redeemed my points for a $100 which was pending for a few months, then they refunded the points and went to this new system that is impossible to redeem. I got on the app 10 minutes early and waited, as soon as it turned to 11am I clicked redeem on the first gift card, it spun and then said there was an error to try again another time and then when I tried again, of course, SOLD OUT.

Impossible to redeem points. Stay Away!

I can't remember ever going out of my way to leave a review like this - even creating an account just to leave one. Drop has broken my record, good for them. Keep in mind that this is after several exchanges with their support teams.

So they take your browsing and shopping data, have your cards linked, and in return as a consumer choosing to use the app - you get nothing.
100 bucks of redeemable points is what's keeping me on Drop. Might as well just let them have it, but at this point, it's the principle not the money. Dragging your members with hopes constantly and giving nothing in return.

I've lost my patience. You're lucky if you can open the app at the "right time" on the day of gift card releases, let alone redeem one.

It's been almost a year now since I've been able to. Looks like they've now gone from bad to worse to make the impossible-to-redeem gift cards even lower to a $5 dollar tier. So what they're saying is that, if I'm lucky enough and the stars cross, I will redeem a $5 gift card possibly every few years at this point!

Nothing much to add, read the other reviews about it being a scam. They are correct. Hoping for a major class action lawsuit.

I do believe Drop has moved into scam territory. I'm sure they provide an extremely limited amount of what is promised weekly in order to avoid prosecution, but they used to allow you to redeem your points for cards at any time, now it's once per week, at a set hour, and it sells out within seconds while the app continues to freeze and crash.

User give permissions for access to credit card purchase information and in return, points are provided for activated deals from specific merchants. Additionally, you can do games, surveys, download apps that are incentivized and also shop through affiliate links directly to get more points.

I have gotten 2-3 gift cards in the past and used them but since the changes happened in July 2023, I have not be able to get a single one... in nearly 9 months. That tells you something is off.

It's not worth your time, you will never get what is promised. Even if you log in 20 minutes early and sit in a queue and wait (I've done this multiple times) and I've reached out to complain and always get a pre-written response about how they "understand and are working to improve it". Nada.

Huge waste.

I loved this App. Received many gift cards as I played the games, did the surveys and shopped through it religiously.Now it's all gone to crap. I set a timer to be in the app 5 minutes before 1pm every Thursday. And every Thursday at 1 pm it gets "overloaded" or times out trying to "claiming my gift card". Total scam!!

why arent the app stores taking this app off their platform?

Complete scam. They give way only $6k per week, and you have less than a second a week to actually claim it. Do NOT waste your time with this. It'll take forever to even get the points, and then you CANNOT even claim your points.

App is a scam. Please avoid as you will never get payout. Use rakuten, swagbucks or honey instead.

Don’t use this app! It’s a scam! You can only get gift cards on certain days at certain times. I logged in to get my gift card and they were sold out in 1 minute. Then you have to wait two weeks for the gift cards to drop again just for them to be sold out every time. I’ve waited months to get a gift card. I finally unlinked my cards. Don’t get this app!!

Scam. You can never redeem gift cards. They say they release some gift cards on Thursdays, but they are never available. Logged in early. Waited. Zilch.

User Beware! This app is an absolute scam. They collect users’ personal information and promises to issue gift cards as an exchange for the private data they have collected.

A few years ago, users were able to redeem gift cards for the points they have earned at any given time. But since the beginning of this year, Drop set up a new system where only a certain number of gift cards could be redeemed on one day of the week during a two minute span. Each week, I log on and try to redeem on the dot but have been unsuccessful. Other users are having the same issue. Drop owes me a few gift cards. With the large number of users, I am sure they owe a lot of people gift cards.

I’m thinking of deleting the app so Drop will stop collecting my personal data. This company needs to be boycotted and a class action should be filed.

It's a scam app now. They stay up to date to farm your information but no ways to redeem points that you from that info. It's a pointless app now do not download unless you want to give your info away for free

This app used to be amazing. I was a loyal user for about 2 years and referred many friends to it. Redeemed multiple gift cards. Since the beginning of 2023 however, they cancelled all of the gift cards I had redeemed & was waiting on. You cannot redeem any gift cards anymore because they only release a select few on Thursdays and when you log on to try & redeem, the app freezes & shuts down. Complete scam now. Very unhappy about how they did not honour all my gift cards I had already redeemed.

Total scam now. It always worked well before, but now they are making it impossible to redeem your points. I reached out to customer service and was given a copy and paste response from the website, indicating that they could do nothing about the issue. Very disappointing. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and see that there are several others regarding the same issue.
