Terrible app. They disappeared all of a sudden and wont let you redeem any points for gift cards. They wont remove your cards on file and still keep all your info on file. About to file with the BBB to get my info removed and hopefully my gift cards. Id suggest everyone do the same thing!

Drop do the right thing and give us our gift cards!

As of September 24, 2025, I have deliberately removed all of my positive reviews from Trustpilot. This was not because those businesses failed me, but because Trustpilot itself has proven corrupt.

They permanently censored my legitimate, fully documented review of eBay (submitted as a registered LLC seller with proof of business activity). Even after providing evidence, their “Content Integrity Team” declared the case closed, keeping my review offline while allowing companies like Rakuten to challenge or suppress critical feedback.

By leaving only my negative reviews here, I want to make clear: the imbalance is created by Trustpilot, not by me. My contributions were balanced across 1–5 stars until Trustpilot chose to silence the critical side.

This platform does not operate in good faith. I will no longer post reviews here. Instead, I will be reporting my findings to regulators and leaving reviews on platforms Trustpilot cannot manipulate.

Drop looks good on paper, but the reality is awful. I mistyped my phone number during signup and spent over a month trying to get support to fix it. No response, no resolution, just silence. That’s not a small issue — it meant I couldn’t even use the account properly.

Any cashback app can have glitches, but what makes Drop truly untrustworthy is the complete absence of customer service. If something goes wrong, you’re out of luck. With so many better options out there (Dosh, bank-linked offers, airline dining programs), there’s no reason to gamble on an app that won’t even reply to simple requests.

Don’t waste your time.

HAVE BEEN TRYING TO REDEEM OVER 50,000 POINTS FOR ABOUT A YEAR. TOTAL SCAM!!!

I haven't been able to redeem my points for almost a year. No responses to my requests for help.
Do not use this App!

Been using it for a few years. It's garbage. Can't redeem gift cards, can't activate offers, can't add most of my credit cards.

bad bad bad. this company sucks and doesn't listen to customer feedback. they changed how the gift cards can be redeemed and no matter what i do i "just missed it"

This app used to be amazing as you would get points for eligible purchases and could later redeem those points for gift cards. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. This company had been avoiding paying out gift cards to their app users for at least 3 years now. They changed the redeeming method and the gift cards would always be “sold out”. The CEO remains silent till this day, not a single update or explanation to his customers and customer service is not responsive and pretty much had vanished.

To this day, the Drop web site still says:
"Easy to earn, easier to redeem" 🤣
To actually have "easier to redeem" in their slogan when it is only one I've ever used that actually makes it impossible to redeem, is about like if Rolls-Royce Motor Cars had a slogan of:
"A budget vehicle at a budget price!"

Just like almost everyone else, I have accumulated a bunch of points over years and now they are useless. I have tried to redeem my points many times and the last 2 Thursdays I have been on about 10 minutes before the so called 1:00 PM EDT "Gift Card Drop" and I immediately selected a gift card within a second, but after waiting a while it said I just missed it and there were none left. Today, I just immediately selected the first card in the list. I could not have done it any quicker, but still the same result. IT IS A SCAM! I imagine that is the reason the Google Play Store removed the Drop app a while ago, even though the Drop web site still has a link to it.

Total scam. Used to be one of the best and now nothing but a crap app defrauding customers. Pay out my points so I can delete the app and forget the two years of bs

MONTHS AND MONTHS trying to "Score" a gift card. But they must be giving away 1 a week. I always get the "just missed it". They started out good but now it's just a way to track where I shop.

I have been trying for 9 months to cash in points. No luck. Now I see they are only cashing in 125,000 points a week. I have more than that myself to cash in. This app is a joke. Don’t bother.

I got an email from them recently about fixing the points issue and crediting accounts in July, so I thought they were back to the great app they used to be. I went on today (Thursday) to redeem points, got there right on time, clicked the first gift card I saw, waiting excruciatingly long, and still the gift cards were gone.

I can never redeem my points and there is no way to get customer service to really talk to you. It is a chatbot that doesn't let you type anything you want and when you finally get to a support ticket, no one ever gets back to you.

This app/company used to be great and was relatively easy and collect rewards. Since the SVB collapse they've never recovered and it shows. It is impossible to redeem your points for rewards. I've been sitting on 150,000 ($150) for two years now. I try every week to collect a $5 gift certificate and I'm constantly being told "Just missed it!" They only have a pool of 125,000 points each week for thousands of users. It's ridiculous. This company should go out of business because what they are doing now is criminal...mining people's information and not giving them anything in return.

Redeeming your reward is a joke. They'll give a certain date to redeem. I wait as soon as it opens. On the first second it will tell you that they already sold out. I put an alarm on the day you can redeem so I can cash mine out the very second it's available and I mean literally that I press the button right away. It's been almost 2 years since I was able to redeem. That is when you were able to redeem any time you want.

This company is a SCAM! In the beginning there was no issue with obtaining a gift card with your points. Now as of recently I have accumulated 58,998 points and can not use them for anything. The new process to redeem points is a scam. You have to wait until 12noon on Thursday's and when you try to redeem all of a sudden all the gift cards are sold out. Now I have to delete my account and lose all the points I have billed. It is like money going down the drain.

When I first downloaded and started using Drop rewards app several years ago, it was great and I could always cash out my points to receive whatever gift card that I wanted, however when they changed how you could redeem your points, it then quickly became a complete disappointment and scam and a total waste of time. They claim now that they only drop a finite number of gift cards every Thursday at 12 PM, however every time I attempt to go on their site at around that time, my phone either lags and freezes or all of the gift cards supposedly “sell out” within moments. I’ve had well over 50,000 points, enough to snag several $25 gift cards for about 2 years now. I heard they are being sued for this scam!

I've noticed that the app drop is no longer available in the Google Play store and was wondering why I haven't received any updates. I'm not sure the reason for it as there wasn't anything posted it on at all. I'm very disappointed with this knowing I had points available and not can't redeem them. This is inexcusable for a company to offer something that does harvest your information and sells it to other companies. You should be ashamed of yourselves for offering this app and not offering what you intend to offer on the app. Very disgusted and disappointed with this

I don't know no one has sued this company yet but this is a legit scam. It used be good and so I didn't cash out, and now it's virtually impossible to claim anything so basically all that "promised" rewards are gone. The app itself also sucks!! I have unlinked everything and just waiting for the day where they actually look at their humanity and decency side and give us what we deserve. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!
