Johnson Volkswagen Wolverhampton and Johnson Volkswagen Stourbridge

I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I have received from both Johnson Volkswagen Wolverhampton and Johnson Volkswagen Stourbridge.

At the Wolverhampton branch, it has been impossible to get through to anyone by phone. I have been trying to contact them for four consecutive days regarding a repair booking for my vehicle, yet my calls have gone unanswered. The aftercare service appears to be non-existent, and it feels as though customers are no longer a priority once a vehicle has been purchased.

I also raised a complaint with the Account Manager at the Stourbridge branch but have received no response. This lack of communication and customer care is extremely frustrating.

When booking my vehicle in for a service, I was surprised to find that all charges were listed separately, including an additional charge for an oil change. My understanding has always been that an oil change is included as part of a standard service, so I do not understand why this has been charged as an extra cost.

Furthermore, I was informed that I would need to leave my car at the dealership for four hours during the service. This raises the question of why appointment times are scheduled if customers are still expected to leave their vehicle for such an extended period. There was no waiting appointment available, nor was I offered a collection and delivery service or any alternative arrangement.

Due to these ongoing issues, I have now escalated my complaint to Johnsons Cars Head Office. I hope to receive a response and a satisfactory resolution, although my experience so far has left me with little confidence in the level of customer service provided.

Poor communication, disappointing aftercare, and an overall lack of customer focus. I expected far better from an authorised Volkswagen dealership.

Johnsons Ford Sutton Coldfield were fantastic because having used them for my previous vehicle, I know the standard is high, prices are reasonable, and a very nice man collects my vehicle, then drops it back once everything has been completed. Even when booking the service, it's not a chore - I speak with a real person, often with a sense of humour, but most importantly, they have a personality! It's a simple process, whereas some other Dealers seem to make it so difficult, for such a simple routine thing, like a service. As long as I have a Ford, I will be taking it to Johnsons.

We arranged a test drive and absolutely did not expect to buy on the day but the Tuscon was a revelation! Everything I’ve ever looked for in a car. We never felt under pressure to buy and the whole process was effortless. Thank you

THe aftercare for our Skoda Citigo was excellent, a small number of problems were attended to without delay and at no cost

The experience at Johnsons Ford Tamworth was great. I dealt with Norman who is one of the sales team. No hard sell just a friendly, professional, very easy going guy. It was my first experience driving an automatic but Norman made me feel at ease during the test drive. Smooth sales process, with a follow up call to check I was happy with the car and if I had any questions. Would definitely recommend a visit to Johnson’s if you’re looking for new or used car.

Would highly recommend Skoda Liverpool for their quick and efficient service to support warranty repair to my car. This was completed in quick time and on the day. In the showroom received excellent customer service on both occasions when I visited.

Johnsons Škoda Burntwood were great because they offered me extras with the car I bought but weren’t pushy when I refused them. I reserved the car online on Friday evening and drove it away the following Wednesday. Great, prompt, polite service.

As a driving instructor, time is precious, so being able to bring my vehicle in at the weekend and wait while it was serviced was brilliant. I just need to remember to anticipate the next service a little earlier, as I had to wait a week or two for an appointment — although, in many ways, that’s proof of a good garage when there’s a bit of a wait for their services!

The staff were spot-on and professional, the facilities were excellent as always, and of course there was the usual opportunity to wander around and admire the cars on the forecourt.

For a car guy and his young son, it was a thoroughly enjoyable hour or two, with plenty of cars to look at and a bit of father-and-son fun along the way. A great experience all round.

A 5-star service from Johnsons Škoda Wolverhampton. The car-buying experience was easy. The information on their website was comprehensive and I was able to see all the details I needed before booking a test drive. Tom was very helpful throughout the whole process, answering all of my questions and explaining things clearly.

My experience at Johnson’s Hyundai bootle was a lot better than last year with MOT and service.
The staff where great this time round from booking the car in for its MOT and then dropping my car off for the MOT the day prior to having the MOT done as I had work the next morning.
Michael Mciver took my keys and made it a simple process the day before and then when my car was ready the following day he then also made it an easy process to receive all my paperwork and keys back and explain how the MOT went.

The girl on the desk I know has been busy and I unfortunately forgot her name but she is doing amazing in peoples absence and filling in for people where and when she can.

Staff always very happy to help.
