LOVED the try on before you buy aspect

LOVED the try on before you buy aspect! I didn't guess my size & fit correctly (even though I DID measure before my first order), so I was grateful to easily return the first dress (and, BOY was it easy!) and order my second try on dress (two sizes smaller) and make sure I had the right fit before ordering. (Plus, then it was cheaper to purchase 😉)

Great program for shopping! Thanx, JJ's House! I love my new dress!!

The dresses arrived quickly and they…

The dresses arrived quickly and they were all very nice quality. Checkout was relatively easy and having the return label in the package made returning the try-on dresses I was not keeping easy!!! When the need arrives, I will shop JJ’s again!! For now, I have the perfect Mother of the Groom dress for my son’s wedding in June!!!

Keeps postponing the dispatch day

Customer service keeps postponing the dispatch day so our daughter is unlikely to receive the flower girl dress before the wedding. They keep saying "have a nice day" in each message but not responding to my questions or concerns. Useless.

Great selection of dresses

Great selection of dresses - very easy to order and try on at home. Far less stress than going to a high street shop. Excellent service would highly recommend.

Scam company - give me my money back

Scam company - tried a bridesmaid dress on in the London store, got sized up by them, ordered the exact dress in the same size from their email following the appointment which was the same style & size I tried on, and the measurements on the dress that's arrived are completely different. Disgusting customer services team who sent incredibly rude and aggressive messages when I asked how to initiate a refund - I wish I could post the screenshots of how they spoke to me! I also have been given to refund despite something obviously going wrong their end in the sizing between their sample sizes and what they are sending out for a delivery!

**Edit** following JJ's House's reply of their 14 day policy, which shows their disregard for UK law:

"How long do you have to return a faulty product?
The Consumer Rights Act gives you the legal right to either get a refund for goods that are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, or get it repaired - depending on how long you've owned it:

0-30 days: You can claim a full refund for goods that are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described.
30 days-six months: You must give the retailer one opportunity to repair or replace it before you can claim a refund."

I have contacted you within an appropriate timeframe, unfortunately it doesn't matter than this is outside of your own company policy as your company policy falls outside the UK Consumer Rights Act.

I will be pursuing further action based on the above law.

And when you have 5 bridesmaids who you managed to get together on the same date for the first time to get measured at a PAID appointment with you in December, you would think that would mean we would receive the same size dresses from you that they have been sized up for, as unfortunately distributing 5 dresses across the country within 14 days to get the girls to try them on again to check JJs House hadn't scammed us wasn't possible. Hence why my bridesmaids have only just been able to get their dresses from me to try on.

Once again terrible customer relations, no acknowledgement in their of the different sizing by them or the actions of their rude customer service team! Avoid avoid avoid!!

You’ll never see your dress

I used the try before you buy service to try two styles I liked. They said shipping would take 3 to 5 days. On day five I got a notification that my package was damaged and had to be repackaged. That was 10 days ago and my package still has not moved since that day customer Support refused point blank to help me all they did was repeatedly say we are pre-sales help we are pre-sales help we are pre-sales help. When I contacted after sales it takes them two days to reply to every email every single time all they said was I have to wait for the ship I asked multiple times for them to re-ship the items because I needed them if I was to decide on which one was going to be my wedding dress. They refused to re-ship the samples after a week of constant fighting every single day. They finally agreed to give me a refund. The dresses are gone, there is no way I’m going to order the actual dress I wanted in the colour and custom size that I wanted, if they can’t even ship a sample dress without messing it up.

Loved the try on option

Loved the try on option. Shipment was fast and the dresses were beautiful. Only suggestion is to maybe have more sizes/dresses available for try on. There were several dresses that my daughter was interested in but unfortunately were not available for try on.

AVOID! What a scam of a return policy

Brought 3 ties that didn't suit description, paid £45 for the 3 ties yet if I want to return them I will only get £22 back, what an absolute scam, they get their stock back and I lose out on over half of the original cost! Was going to buy other things for our wedding but after this I absolutely will not be using them again, terrible policy, if anyone is thinking about purchasing don't bother trying to return anything as you'll lose out on over 50% of what you paid!

Had a custom made jumpsuit…

Had a custom made jumpsuit delivered...not sure whose measurements they used but they certainly weren't mine...one of the legs could've been a flowing maxi dress on its own! Hoping a local seamstress can fix it and make it wearable! Won't use again!

Highly recommend

I hadn't heard of JJ's House but the dresses looked beautiful and the reviews seemed consistently good.
I visited the London shop and was really impressed with the quality of the dresses, especially given the great prices. The styling was just what I was looking for and the range and colour options were a real plus for me.
I ordered 4 dresses through the Try On service, which worked really well. The dresses arrived within a few days and having chosen 1, I returned the other 3. Really neat service :-)
I have also used the online chat as I had a query about ordering some shoes - the response was instant and very helpful!

Don't buy from JJ House

I have had 4 experiances with this company and I have been disappointed and frustrated every time.

1) I placed and order totalling £396 (including £45 for postage) and returned everything but 3 items (which cost me an additional £50 postage) which I was furstated by but reasured that I was going to get some money back. I chose to return so much because the white dresses where poorly made and completely see-through. A month later though, there was no money in my account and despite going to the company numerous times they never said a date that I would recieve payment by. I recieved a tracking notification but no number to track the returned parcel with. Luckily, I placed this order on my credit card so I contacted the company (after a full month of waiting for a refund and informing JJ House that I would raise the dispute in a week unless they responded to my emails) and disputed the charge and received a full refund that way.

2) I ordered a wrap cover for my wedding. I saw it was reduced to £11 and thought, go on. Let's give it a go. I recieved the wrong item - they sent a veil. I was offered a refund but I tried to get the company to send out a replacement so it was the correct item but I was repeatedly told there were none in stock. I accepted the redund (although at the time of writing this, I have still not recieved it.

3) My goodness, I found the exact same item (as point number 2) in stock on their website! I ordered it but was told it wouldn't arrive in time for my wedding (a shame but what could I do) so I asked for a refund and it was accepted (my only good dealing with the company - but again I still haven't recieved it).

4) BUT WAIT I found the exact same item on sale again and yay - it would be delivered in time!! With haste I ordered the wrap cover and the package was delivered 6 days before my wedding. This leads me to believe that the clothing they sell at full price is posted through international shipping and the sale items are not. Anyway, I don't know why I ever trusted this company (more fool me) because it wasn't the correct item yet again. It is a wrap cover but instead of it being cropped the front is cropped and the back is floor length. Again, an incorrect item so now I'm left with lots of tat I don't want.

I will never use this company again. My sister also ordered a dress and they got all the measurements wrong. She is getting married next year and we are informing everyone not to be persuaded by the cheap prices. I have already been in contact with the customer service several times so this review is not for the company - this is to ensure no more customers are scammed.

If you use this company make sure you purchase with your credit card where you are able to dispute lack of refunds.
