The sauna is not being cleaned.. it is disgusting and smells really bad ... it needs doing every night .... !! Other than that ok gym

The changing room and sauna smell…
The changing room and sauna smell really bad…it’s sad because the actual facilities are really good otherwise. They need a new sauna (replace all the wood and deep clean) and a really really deep clean of the showers and toilets to rid the smell of urine. And the communication is bizarre. I have emailed them and they said for me to email the gym directly…and the reply has said for me to speak to a member of the team at the gym. This is a poor way to deal with feedback. The changing rooms stink and you need to something drastically to improve it or I will be leaving.

1 degrees in the gym, what a joke.
JDs gym in Batley, Me and both my children have just jointed a few day ago, each time we go in (usually during the afternoon) the gym has been freezing cold. Considering this gym is always busy and the membership is £26.99 per person, I see no reason as why there isn’t any heating? It’s 1 degrees outside and the gym mirrors that, the main reason I switched to JD’s is because my previous gym was also freezing cold. I was hoping with such a huge brand and chain gym, that you would have heating. Disappointing.

Hello - Thank you for sharing your feedback. The temperature can fluctuate with the seasons, but we always do our best to maintain a temperature which is comfortable for exercising. It might feel cool when you're standing still, but once you start your workout it'll feel different.

Room for improvement
I like the new equipment. I dislike that all the weights are scattered around the gym and not put away. Frustrating how long some people take on some of the equipment while sat on phones and chatting away for an age with others who are wanting to use the machines.

Equipment all over the shop
Equipment all over the shop, gyms packed out 9/10 times per week. Needs to be some sort of limit of how many people are able to be in the gym.

Gym need attention
Gym has had a good refurb but needs attention to equipment for example they have not replaced the 50kg dumbbell that has been broken prior to the refurbishment also not enough plates for the amount of equipment and a few hygiene issues

I'll start with the positives
I'll start with the positives, on sight is clean and an abundance of large equipment, the designs and quotes on the wall inspire and the weight section is abundant aswell, my only negatives are the selection of people who use JD Gyms, some individuals are "messing around". This is clear as people are wearing full cloths and puffer Coats not fit for working out,and same individuals are in large groups (often 6-8) around 1 machine. I have seen groups like this using the punching bags and kicking them speradicly without form or technique. And despite that there is still enough room in the gym to distance from individuals like that.
