I would give it zero stars if I could

I would give it zero stars if I could: I get about 3-4 new matches a week, and I live in NYC. Did I mention that the majority of the matches are in other states?

Please do not waste your money on Jdate, they are living off of a former reputation they no longer deserve ... and they force you to take a minimum 3-month membership! I will cancel as soon as I can.

Worst money I've ever spent

Worst money I've ever spent. It's insanely expensive and if you happen to connect with anyone, it costs even more money actually to speak. It's nearly impossible to get your account to stop charging. Most likely, you will have to call your bank to cancel the charges. Dont be fooled, this company is the worst.

Terrible "product", terrible experience, terribly expensive.

Terrible "product", terrible experience, terribly expensive given what you get.

Lame and old fashioned site with lame and old fashioned "customers". Very few people on the site, which rarely changes. Zero customer support. Take your money and spend it elsewhere as in anywhere else.

I hate jdate

I hate jdate. Literal experience barely matched me up then the people I didn’t mind giving a chance to I was not set up with that I ordinarily wouldn’t have dated. I attempted to get a refund for the 30,000 I spent and only got the run around.

I would not recommend jdate.

I have used this application on several…

I have used this application on several occasions, and in a few instances, I have received messages from men who have expressed interest with a heart symbol. Despite responding, I have not received any further communication from them, which has led me to question the legitimacy of this website. Moreover, I have found the customer support team to be unresponsive and ineffective in addressing account-related concerns. Notably, after reconnecting to the app following a period of inactivity, I observed that the same 6-8 men reappeared, with 4 of them sending flirts, just as they had done a year ago. Despite responding, I received no response from them. It appears that their primary objective is to generate revenue through subscription renewals. I believe that the BBB should investigate these dating apps and establish regulatory measures to protect consumers.

Aggravated up to my eyes

First I signed up with my email and they immediately suspended my account. I replied to their email and submitted my id and they unsuspended it. I uploaded my photos, made my whole profile, received a few messages and waited for my photos to show (pending approval) got up to 8 messages and decided to subscribe so I would be able to see who was messaging me. After purchasing, I still couldn't see anyone not even myself! I tried to call the help # and it was an "invalid number " I tried using the help chat and I texted my question and it asked for my number, gave it and then nothing! Tried to make a case ticket and kept getting an error message and told to try again. This was a complete waste of time and money!

It's horrifying and it's costly

It's horrifying and it's costly. I spent $36 looking through the profiles. They allow non Jews on the site, they don't even attempt to get close to your age range or miles you'll travel to meet someone, it's insane. I absolutely hated it. In fact I'm trying to get my money back- do not bother. Everyone is so jaded...

Totally fake

I rejoined this site a few months ago after a gap of some years. No one has replied to a single flirt or message. When I signed up recently, there was a flurry of people who responded on the first day, none of whom had anything in common with me and some were little short of rude. Since then nothing. This level of exploitation of genuine people is sad and shocking.

The technical support is none existent. There was a bug where it showed I had an unread message, but on entering the messages there was nothing there. I reported it, got a standard reply that they are working on it and more than a year later nothing had happened.

AVOID THIS SCAM

This dating site should have -10 rating. It is a total scam. They grab your money and present you with ten options where each individual is rated as being <33% compatible. I received one message (from a member) which was extremely rude and insulting. I was off this site in less than hour and had my credit card company deal with them since there is no customer service, just a virtual team. Don't be deceived by the slick advertising and high ratings in Forbes Magazine and others. I thought Match.com was bad enough and cancelled my membership after one day. JDate is far worse. In short, a total disaster. STAY AWAY! If you are feeling lonely, get a companion animal instead and your life will be much happier and you will be truly loved and cherished.

Awful website

Awful website, they double charged and refused to answer my email.
Better off not signing up as it is expensive and no contact number for customer service when things like this happen.
It is very unfair to say the least.

Zero stars

If there was a zero star category, that would have been more appropriate. Every person who messaged me was a fake. One posed as a local businessman with a phony story, lifting profile photos from
A South American movie star. This was one of several. The resumes sounded too good to be true. Some mention coming from Europe then moving here. That's a red flag. And they were. The men try to lure you off site and that's very dangerous. I became a detective, with reverse google imaging, finding these frauds. I also learned about VOIP phone lines which are not traceable and used by shady people on dating sites. To the women out there, run and do not walk. If you are an established professional you are a target for potential cat fishing. Many profiles were removed from Jdate based on my verified findings. There are no background checks of users and you explore this at your own risk. Buyer beware!

Jdate provided accusations against me

Never again I will use Jdate after all the accusations they claiming that I have been in contact with 2 members in which I have not . Seems someone has stolen my profile and their security is very weak. I received 2 emails from Jdate within 2 weeks about my security. I am careful who I look for and to contact with any members but in this case 2 members I have not been in contact with since my membership was cancelled during those times. Wow!!! Be careful using Jdate online as their customer service is very poor and don’t care, as well as don’t do anything about it.

A waste of time

I joined over a week ago and browsed over 60 profiles. I didn't pay for further services since I realised after a week that only 4 visitors had viewed my profile. I covered quite a wide age group and my realisation was that most of the profiles were dormant and perhaps the site was well run once upon a time but clearly someone continues to cash in on peoples hopes and dreams and this site doesn't seem worth it.

A Qualified review

In the six years, (yes, six years) that I have been using dating websites, apart from that completely fake and utterly scam site, Jewish-Seniors (avoid this site like it’s the plague – every single profile that is on this site is fake, seriously!!), JDate is the second worst I have ever used. Yes, there are lots of sites that are started by individuals in order to make some kind of income for themselves, forcing you to pay for every contact you make, but JDate is undeniably the worst as it advertises itself as being a world-wide site for Jewish people to meet and form relationships. In the many months I have used this site, it fails miserably to build relationships between a sufficient amount of Jewish people to warrant its existence. For a start, it’s so full of abandoned profiles, that you are wading through multitudes of photos to find one genuine, active person on the site. Secondly, there are an incredible amount of fake profiles, which are so obvious to the seasoned “seeker”, that you are demoralised to keep looking for your ideal match (or, indeed, anyone). The cost of a membership is ridiculously high, so if you are enthusiastic enough to contact someone, you are heavily reliant on the fact that they also have to be a paid up member in order to receive your email. Now, you could argue “what price happiness?” Well, when you discover that your quest on the site, wasn’t worth the quest at all, you have gained nothing to even think that you had any form of good experience, from the…experience. You have just paid to look at a load of photos from people, who aren’t active on the site any more. The few who are “real people”, were so far away, that forming relationships was a task in itself. It is again unfortunate, that long-distance relationships, unless one of you is willing to move within a short period of time, just isn’t going to work. To answer your possible question of “why have I been using sites for six years?”, well, two things; primarily, to find the love of my life (after wading through some questionable people with disturbed personalities), and secondly, I am a researcher. It is unfortunate that I have discovered that there is a very high percentage of people who use dating websites, shouldn’t really be searching for a loving relationship at all, but should be nurturing a relationship with a psychiatrist. So, seriously, fellow seekers, don’t believe the rubbish that you read on these so-called “dating review sites" (who only exist to sell advertising space, anyway), JDate is just another terrible dating site that survives by pharming your details and luring the lonely and delusional. I hope that I have saved you from wasting your money.
