The "Hype", of the standard of instruction offered by this academy, is well deserved. The tuition lives up to the school mantra, "beginner to golfer in 2 days" Tom, my instructor is excellent, patient , knowledgeable and a thoroughly nice chap. Hotel accommodation was excellent and the staff superb. Food in both restaurant and sports bar was excellent. I could find no fault with either accommodation of tuition. Only blip was the £40 for a golf cart...just a bit excessive compared to like for like prices...

Excellent instruction on the fundamentals of a repeatable golf swing. A three-day residential course can achieve so much more than a series of 30 minute lessons! The facilities are very good, and the patient, clear, and thorough guidance by our teacher, Joe, was superb.

Had a great 3 days at the golf school with Joe as the coach. Finally understood how to hit a golf ball properly. Excellent tuition on the fundamentals of a good golf swing, with a structured approach over 3 days to achieve this. Have come away with lots of drills to reinforce this learning. Highly recommend the course.

My wife and I went on the two day advanced course hosted by Joe. We were a group of 4 with handicaps ranging from 8 to 19. We all had an assessment of our current swings on Trackman and then Joe went through the data and convinced us that all of us were lacking in consistency of strike, from attack angle where we hit on clubface etc.
We all agreed that our path to better golf was to achieve a consistency of strike.
Joe then went through the different elements of the golf swing explaining WHY we needed to do each element and what goes wrong if we don't. He then had a series of drills to get us to master the HOW for each element with critical points to focus on. There were further explanations on power sources and other very informative tips as we went through the drills. Explanations were very logical and understandable throughout. When we got to putting it all together for the full swing he said "All I need from you is one good shot and you'll be convinced" I did and I was. We received a video of the before and after with explanations of what we were doing right and where we needed to keep a focus on. Something to refer back to in the future.
Thoroughly informative and enjoyable experience which I would highly recommend if you want to improve your golf.

I have visited the James Andrew Golf School a number of times over the last 3 years. My last visit was to the advanced school with Joe leading the group. The course was excellent and well structured.
My swing has improved over my visits to the school. I find the longer format of 2 to 3 days allows me to fully embed the learning. I have a had a number of light bulb moments and now feel I more understand the swing and consequently what I am trying to achieve.

I did the 2 day advanced course with Joe. He absolutely transformed my swing to something tons better fundamentally and much much more consistent. Everything he said made complete sense and really clicked quite quickly despite it being quite technical. We did plenty of drills before putting different technical elements together so that it all made complete sense. He has a great way of explaining everything and was polite and happy to answer any questions. 100% I recommend and I’ll be going back at some point.

Excellent instruction, clearly explained and delivered in a way to make it repeatable. And good to spend time with a fun group of people interested in golf.

This was my first golfing holiday and as a new to golf, solo female traveler I was a bit apprehensive but talking to James before I booked, I felt very reassured and he and the team didn't disappoint. I was grouped with golfers of a similar ability which meant I didn't feel under pressure at all and could really relax and get the most out of the coaching and golf experience. Tim was an absolutely fantastic coach, very patient, encouraging and great fun. The group I travelled with were just amazing - every single person was so welcoming, we had a brilliant time together.
I can only highly recommend James Andrews Golf Tuition Holidays - the team are fantastic, professional, experienced, inclusive and fun. I think what they offer on these holidays is very unique and so beneficial.

My son and I had an absolutely brilliant two days of golf tuition with Joe at the James Andrews Golf School. Joe was exceptionally clear in his critique and I would highly recommend him. Super nice chap to boot.

I spent 2 days at the school recently under Joes instruction. I’m an 8 handicapper looking to improve. I thought Joe was excellent and his approach very methodical, detailed but accessible and easy to understand. My ball striking is definitely improving and I think that he’s given me lots to work on and continue to improve. The detailed feedback video and written resources he sent after will also be invaluable. This was a bargain for what you get. Thanks Joe!

After returning to golf after a long break I was frustrated at how inconsistently I was striking the ball. I wasn't much fun, so I decided to invest in a condensed golf tuition break and hopefully get my game back on track. I can honestly say all my expectations have been greatly exceeded after the 3 day course at James Andrews Golf School with Joe Queen. This started with a video of my current swing/ taking stats etc before identifying issues we then began to break down and work on fixing. Joe broke the swing into simple but repeatable steps that have very quickly vastly improved my striking. Golf is fun again and I have the tools to work on to keep any swing thoughts really simple.

I attended the three day intermediate golf course together with my teenage son. Although I've played golf for many years, in recent times it had dropped to 1-2 games per year and little or no practice, whereas my son has only playing for a year. Joe was an excellent teacher and we both found the course to be very beneficial, though we came at it from slightly different angles - for me, it was about correcting many years of bad habits, for my son it was about reinforcing the basics that he had learnt more recently. It was very helpful to have the swing broken down into different stages and reviewed on video to understand and correct basic mistakes that were impacting my ability to strike the ball well. Hip rotation was not something I had paid attention to before, but it has definitely helped me to hit the ball further. Lots of good practice drills to take away and use on the range going forward. Highly recommended!

It was the second time in three years that I made the trip from the Netherlands. Absolutely worth it.
It will keep me going for at least another year to start implementing all the brilliant technical advice on my swing.

Booked the 2 day intensive intermediate coarse with Tim. Being relatively new to golf (< 12 months and no handicap) it was alot to take in with so many areas for me to improve on! Excellent coaching and advice (and got my first Birdie 5 days later!) Thanks.

James Andrew Golf School met and exceeded all of my expectations! The small client to instructor ratio led to a lot of individual attention and I appreciated not only the technical aspects but also the drills and various thoughts / tips Joe gave to work on. The combination of instruction / drills in the morning + afternoon play made for such a fun and golf-filled days. I also really appreciated all of the videos, tips, and write ups sent afterwards so that I could continue to hone and improve upon the things worked on in the camp. Highly recommend the school for any golfer looking to improve their game!

I attended the 3-day intensive golf course in the intermediate group after finding that my standard of golf had plateaued. I found the course to be hugely helpful for my entire golf game. Joe Queen was an excellent instructor and brilliant technically. Whilst I had - since I started playing - received various tips from golf professionals , no one - until Joe - had every broken down my swing and showed me the fundamentals to enable me to develop a true feel for a proper golf swing. At the start of the course, we identified some of my objectives, one of which was to drive the ball further. By understanding the main power sources in a swing, including the use of the hips (which I had previously underutilised) I was easily able to meet this and my other objectives. Having been given useful drills which are easy to implement, I now have plenty material to work with on the range. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to transform their golf game, particularly where other avenues have failed.

I have no hesitation in giving my 2 days coaching with Joe a 5 star review. Joe's expert use of trackman, video feedback and expert knowledge is fantastic. Breaking down the fundamentals of golf into easily understood areas is fundamental to improvement. Joe also followed up my visit with a comprehensive video and audio summary of the areas we covered which is hugely useful in continuing to practise improvement techniques. If you are serious about improving your handicap or just want a few days break then look no further!

When I was recommended James Andrews Golf School a few months ago, the first thing I did was look up the reviews and comments here. For a moment, I suspected if all the reviews were real, as they looked too good and too many. Fast forward a few months, having joined their 3-day intermediate course, I am now writing a fabulous review for them without hesitation.

I had a truly great time at the golf school. Everyone is friendly and supportive. My coach, Joe, is absolutely brilliant! He was so quick in identifying my problems and, more importantly, able to provide practical advice and drills to fix my bad habits. I’ve learned a lot from him, and I can see how much my golf has improved in a relatively short time. It’s almost surreal to see how much my score has improved right after the course as compared to how I used to play before. I look forward to returning to the school in the future and progressing to their advanced course. Thanks Joe for your excellent coaching. Truly appreciate that!

Just completed the intermediate 3 day school which had excellent content and was very enjoyable - I wish I had done this when I first returned to golf rather than thinking I could sort everything with a few weeks of 30 min sessions.
Lots of good information in person which was issued by e-mail including swing videos and trackman data.
The two golf courses at Stoke by Nayland are currently in beautiful condition and being able to play on them each afternoon putting the mornings training into on course action was a prefect combination.
If you are thinking about it, do it.

My daughter and I felt very lucky to have found James Andrew Golf School to do a 5 day improvers golf course. Everyone there was so friendly and put us at ease as soon as we arrived. We were happy it was all very relaxed. Joe was our pro teacher for the week. He was brilliant! A great teacher, patient, positive and fun. The whole experience massively exceeded our expectations on how the week would work. We had lessons at their base at the range in the morning going through all shots, and then T times were booked for us in the afternoon if we wanted a round of golf. The Track Man analysis videos of our progress has been invaluable since we’ve got home to look back and refresh on all the advice Joe gave us. I have already recommended this golf school to some friends and I will definitely go back. Thank you all and Joe in particular!
