Shareen resolved my query quickly and with ease
Shareen helped me with a really quick query about a share. Super helpful. After years of messing about with other platforms, there are 3 big factors I value about IWeb - 1 - I can find the funds/ETFs that I need - not all platforms offer this wide a range. 2 - Fees - brilliant value for money. 3 - A person to chat to or call with ease - given the cost to use the platform - this is a genuine benefit which means...I am slowly moving all of my investments over to IWeb. If you are seeking a solid, no nonesense platform that works...pick IWeb.

Dividend team not interested in investigating missing dividends.
Recently a fund I hold managed by UBS withdrew a monthly dividend. I contacted IWeb to find out why since this is the first time this has happened and I am concerned as to the future reliability of UBS's dividend payments. IWeb's dividend team were not able to say why this had happened BUT more importantly appeared to be totally uninterested in finding out either.
As the custodians of my hard earned money I expect much better service than this lackadaisical performance. Two stars only for the fact that their offering is currently free.
Edit...Oh dear Charlotte R, I think you're missing the point here. I had already spoken to two of your colleagues and made them aware of the missing dividend. My issue is about the total lack of interest in progressing the matter further with the fund manager.

Decent basic platform and service, with some drawbacks
Good:
- no platform fees - completely free
- wide range of ETFs and funds
- can buy and sell individual gilts online
- Admin team are helpful and respond promptly to emails
Not so good:
- very clunky site, 15 years out of date (ssame engine as Lloyds and Halifax)
- no secure messaging
- Online chat is useless
- Index linked gilts show huge false loss after buying as they value them on the 'clean' price, not what you get on sale
- unhelpful during transfer - if you miss off leading zeros on your account number they say they don't recognise the account.

Poor chat / customer service experience
Chat interface is rubbish. Too quick to make you lose a chat.
I’m having trouble transferring an ISA to iWeb. First person I spoke to suggested I contact the other provider to confirm their contact details for iWeb. Hmm
Then the chat connection dropped.
Had another chat … there was a 4 minute gap between being asked for a reference and giving it and they ended the chat. This is outrageous given I have to wait more than 4 minutes for replies..
Spent more than an hour trying to sort it then got told the transfer team finished 13 minutes ago at 4pm
Nice

IWeb is best suited for essential…
IWeb is best suited for essential passive investors and mature, long-term investors. I’ve experienced both investment attitudes personally. IWeb is not ideal for frequent traders. While it does offer some instruments for trading, they are limited and not particularly competitive. There are more sophisticated platforms available on the market for active trading.

Account good but their online chat is slow…..
The actual iweb account is very good, but their chat bot system is so slow. It’s quick to be put through to someone but they are so slow to respond to any questions. They are either trying to deal with too many callers at once or doing something else they shouldn’t be!

Great for Stocks & Shares ISA
I opened a Stocks & Shares ISA account with iWeb recently. It works well and the £5 dealing charge per transaction is reasonable. Chat service is very good and were able to answer all my queries regarding ISA transfer. They don't have an app but the web interface is good enough. Overall, it'a an excellent share dealing platform.
