Support can be a little slower with the time difference from NZ to the US, but it's consistently high quality help from people who actually know what they're talking about and have an impeccable command of the English language.

Used to be great. Now super expensive, with non-existent customer service. I moved elsewhere where I can speak with human for less. You can only contact support via email and the turnaround is three days despite their website stating 24 hrs. They fail to help, let alone answer your questions as to why. Super lazy and avoidant. Now I haven't gotten a response to my last correspondence in 2 weeks, completely ignoring the last four emails I've sent them in this period to address the request. They've gone dark.

They advised my payment was due a month later, but the direct debit came out a month earlier (and I changed hosts) yet it's been impossible to get a refund or answers in this cross over period.

This company is now simply set up to take your money only. You're paying a high premium for the domain but nothing else. Always better to support those doing better and the right thing.

Used to be a great little NZ company providing domain name registration and nothing else, now bought by a UK based company and it is almost twice as expensive as other similar services and the support is virtually non-existent (try 20 days to respond to a billing issue - lucky my domain hadn't lapsed in the mean time!)
Moved to 1st Domains which was easy and painless, and half the price!

The UI to unlock domains is broken, and Support simply does not respond for help. As a result, I cannot transfer my domains out of this apparently sinking ship. I waited three weeks until their site redesign and checked again. Nope. Still broken and Support still hasn't responded. Stay away from iwantmyname.com

Domain name service hosted on iwantmyname was compromised today and hacker placed phishing website. Millions of dollars customers funds was stolen. There was no customer service responce for more then 12 hours from iwantmyname to prevent it. Aweful service.

I decided to try iwantmyname because I've heard good things about them, but I've had such a bad experience so far, that I had to share it here for everyone to be aware of this service. I paid for a domain containing my name while it was clearly available, then my account was locked immediately after. Support ignored two of my tickets and dismissed my questions when I asked what was happening, telling me to try logging in again and again. After three separate support contacting attempts, they finally unlocked my account—only for me to discover that the domain is now registered by someone else, even though it had been available for months before. The timing seems extremely fishy, and the support dismisses all my questions. Either their system is deeply broken or something seriously wrong is going on. I would not trust this service.

Domain booking is fast, easy to use, and they have the latest domains available.

15 years with iwantmyname and 2 domains registered. Locked out of my accounts for a week now and zero response except for automated emails. Will transfer whenever I can get into accounts to unlock.

Absolutely terrible customer support.
No response to our support ticket after more than 24 hours, for a critical problem (that we believe they caused) raised during normal business hours, leaving our domain unusable and massively impacting our business.

I've been iwantmyname customer for over 10 years and overall it's a great website with no b/s UI and much better than Godaddy (avoid Godaddy!)

Two weeks ago, however their support spotted responding across all channels. I've transferred a few domains over and iwantmyname did not notify me that i need to update the contact info. So now i'm on the verge of loosing these domains due to ICANN policies. No response/help from iwantmyname. Super stressful!

Writing this review to draw their attention to the issue and hoping they'll respond and fix things, so i can revert this review back to 5 starts.

If I could select 0 stars I would. I've essentially been scammed.

I've been an iwantmyname.com customer for about 10 years. Have had dozens of domains. Never moved anywhere else. I loved the simplicity of the product and the interface + the team.

Very recently, one of my domains (I own 12 with them). I purchased pretty much by mistake (just a quick trial) was up for renewal (on auto renew...of course..).

I had never used or updated that domain (which makes me wonder whether that's what triggered what came next).

I got an email letting me know the domain was up for renewal in 7 days. So I tried logging into the platform to set auto-renew on off -- and after 2 wrong password attempts I decide to reset my password.

Then I received an email saying my account had been locked due to 5 failed attempts and to reach out to the support team to get help.

Which I did.

2 weeks later, I still haven't heard back. And my domain auto-renewed for another 2 years ($250 lost).

This sucks, but what concerns me most is I'm still waiting to hear back to get access to my account because I run my entire startup app/domains with them. If anything breaks I can't even log in and fix anything.

I've been using iwantmyname.com for several years. Have found their their service to be consistently reliable and responsive. No fluff. No canned responses from tech support. Just simple, clear, practical solutions. Happy to recommend this domain registration service.

Steals/sells domain name searches. Searched up an interesting .com that to my surprise was available. Went back a few days later and it was registered for the first time the same day I searched for it there. Never again. From googling many places operate this way now but it should be illegal.

Shockingly good service from the IWMN team. The pricing and the service is versatile and great.

With them for 12 years with a .com and price went from 14 to 28$ in the last 4 years. Bye!

Everything was fine until I decided to transfer my domain to another server. iwantmyname transferred the Domain but refused to include my DNS records. Instead they deleted them. It has been a massive headache, shutting down my site, and the Iwantmyname team has been no help.
