DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They will overcharge you in a few months. My first bills were $150 and now they are up to $1178! They make delivery mistakes and you end up paying for it. Use someone else. They are cheaper and don't have all these additional fees.

I would give this company zero stars if it were possible. Negative 0 stars. They are the biggest rip off of any company I have ever done business with in my entire life.
I recently cancelled my subscription service with Iron Mountain. My contract was up on June 11th, 2024. I tried cancelling back in January, and told them I wanted to cancel and not renew in June. I was told to come back closer to the date. So i was going to wait until the beginning of May until I received a $250.00 bill in March 2024. And then April 2024 my bill was $491.00. The bins were no where near full in April. They were full in March and I paid less. Once the bill hit $491.00 for two small bins (These aren't even the big trash bins that you see), I had to be done. So I contacted them told them I would end my contract early. My contract states that you have to pay 50% of your average bill for the last 6 months for your final months. I was told that my final bill would be about $170.00. I received my bill today, they charged me $800.00. I am going directly to American Express and I'm fighting it. They are wretched. Absolutely wretched and dishonest.
They need to be taken out of business. They make it nearly impossible to cancel. They don't tell you up front what to expect when they're signing you up. My bill was supposed to be $64.00 a month. It was never $64.00 a month. Ever.
I will make it my mission to go online and tell anybody that will read reviews about what happened so they don't use this horrible wretched company.
They picked up the final pick up and the bins on 4/18/2024. To charge me $800.00 is an absolute sin. They should be ashamed of themselves. I hope karma comes back around and takes them down.

Incompetent! Completely unable to provide the service they claim to provide. Lose documents, and really don't care. Need to be put out of business.

Do not use this company. They have every excuse in the world as to why they can’t do their job. First of all their DocuSign didn’t work then their phone systems didn’t work, They had , bottom line we were promised Services paid somebody all day to be at the job site to accommodate them and nobody showed up. They did not return calls, left 4 messages with no return phone call. Spent hours on the phone trying to deal with the situation . Do not waste your time with this company. With the lack of honesty I doubt that they even be shredding your papers. They probably just dump them in a ditch somewhere.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR SERVICE. I signed up originally at $65.00 per month on June 11, 2021. Immediately, the bill was never ever $65.00 per month. They add on administrative fees, gas, etc. I received my bill for last month on 4/1/2024 via email and it was $491 plus!!!! I have two small consoles. And I can promise you, they barely had anything in them. I'm done. I tried to cancel a few months ago, and I was told about all of the cancellation fees, and that they automatically renew your contract year after year if you don't cancel within 30 days of the renewal date. I don't even care that they'll charge me half of what is typically charged for every month early that I cancel. Which at this juncture is two months. I just want them in my rear view mirror. Complete lack of integrity on this company's part. Horrible service. Many months they never even showed up when they were supposed to, stating they couldn't get in. Not true at all. Absolutely not true. So done. Run far away. I purchased a commercial shredder. I already have 2 other great shredders in the office. For the price of the commercial shredder, I will see my money back in under a month. I'm going on every platform I can to let people know to not do business with this company. I don't want anyone else to get ripped off.

Iron mountain is a scam...I have had our bill increase by over 400% in just 2 years from $120 month for 4 consoles to $470 for the same service. Anyone reading this, if you have PRO SHRED in your area, switch to them. 4 consoles will now be $85 per month with this company. I scheduled our pick up with Iron Mountain on our regular scheduled shred day to get the consoles removed as to not incur additional charges. I emptied all the bins into the new Pro Shred bins so there would be no shredding needed from Iron Mountain. They charged us for a special appointment and for shredding. A bill in the amount of almost $1000 dollars to have 4 empty bins removed from the property. This company is a SCAM! Again, go to PRO SHRED!!!!

This is the worst company with the worst service. I have been trying to get my material out from the storage for more than 3 weeks. I paid all my invoice in full and still my account is on HARD HOLD. They are not allowing me to get any material out for hotel. We have wedding tomorrow. I am trying to speak to supervisor, and no one is calling me back that can help with solution. Keep saying same nonsense that matter will be resolved within 3-4 business days but unfortunately their 3-4 days never get over for last 3 weeks.
Hopefully NO ONE will get stuck like I am. Now I will have to pay thousands of dollar for this large wedding as I am not able to resolve this issue.
I'm convinced their tactic is to make the process as frustrating as possible so customers won't ask for their money back after incorrect charges/charges for no service. The lack of communication, attention to details and transparency is the icing on the cake of reasons why I will never use or recommend Iron Mountain ever again. Stay far away unless you enjoy sending 100 emails for the same issue to be resolved.
I was happy with them at my old office. I moved and hired them for the new office. They never brought the new bin to the new office but billed me. They are still billing me for something I never got. they took months to get the old bin and kept charging. You can't reach anyone and the service rep was as helpful as a dead dog. So I let them charge me and dispute it. I hope I solve this before I die. Horrible customer service. Karen
This company is horrible! I would not recommend them to anyone. Tried cancelling our service with them in January, was told they could not pick up their container from our office until the middle of February. It is now March and they have drafted 2 payments from our account since we stopped using them. The customer service rep said it was because they did not pick up the container until the middle of February. Not our fault you could not send someone until then. I think this is just a ploy to get more money from the consumers. What a crock....they are outrageous on their prices, you can not speak to a customer service rep that speaks fluent English and then they gouge your bank account. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!
This company bought out the company we have used for over 20 years for records storage and shredding. We never had any issues prior to Iron Mountain taking over. This company is nothing but a scam! They hold your records hostage and increase pricing without ever creating a new contract! We are now talking to a lawyer and the state attorney generals office to seek action against this company. RICO act!
Don’t work there horrible people who are two faced and try to bully you with snide comments horrible horrible work environment with no chance of a job Just used and discarded -0
Avoid this company at all costs, unless you want to be held to ransom. This should be a zero reviow. This company has introduced increases without warning of more than 50%, including their "handling" fee, so no choice but to pay their exorbitant charges to get back our boxes, most of which need to be destroyed anyway. A shocking disregard for customer care or satisfaction. These are the desperate actions of a business in terminal decline.
If I could give a 0 , I would.
The service support is horrible and very limited in their ability to assist with anything. The prices go up all the time with no reason. It is extremely overpriced.
The closure process is the same way with no local representation to communicate with, can't wait to get our files out of there. And the cost to close is also ridiculous, should be investigated.
If you are thinking of using this company, do your homework and go somewhere else!
Iron Mountain has been increasing prices for storage for the last two years on my account. It's now 200%+ in 20 months. So I've been clearing the warehouse and working on a new pricing contract. I have been back and forth with them for many months and still no signed contract. Also, their customer service is terrible. They have outsourced it to overseas and they are incompetent. They don't read email requests fully. They close the tickets if no response in 3 days which starts over the process. I don't know what happened, but I won't ever use them again for any of my businesses.
Ridiculous. We have a corporate account with them and when we called to get our bins scheduled to be emptied, they told us our account was inactive. Not sure how as we had just had them come out three months prior. When I called the representative just kept repeating herself and would not listen to my concerns.
Since agreeing an order to have confidential documents collected for destruction I have been going around in circles to find a member of staff who knows anything about the order that was agreed. I have 60 sacks of confidential waste - in the sacks that they sent me as part of the order - and nobody I speak to at the company has any idea what the order refers to. Furthermore, customer services (0844 5607080) won't speak to me without a certain type of reference number that I should have been given. They won't accept the order reference which is the only code I was issued. No support to find a solution.
I just moved my company’s equipment out of Iron Mountain (AZ) to another CoLo. I initially started with I/O Data Centers back in 2007. They were purchased by Iron Mountain a few years ago. I wish I could say that was a good thing, but it was not. The final straw was Iron Mountain started performing various tests during standard business hours. The reason we were told was because they did not want to pay people extra to test at night or over the weekend. Lastly, If you are considering using Iron Mountain, as your CoLo, I would recommend that you look at other options. However, if you do decide to move forward with them, you will want to go over your all your MSA/SOW/SLA in great detail. IM will use their agreements to their benefit. They are inflexible and you are just a number to them.
The worst customer service I have experienced in a very long time! Despite receiving written confirmation to decrease our collection frequency, Iron Mountain continued to collect as regularly as before. Collections are at random times and unannounced, with the collections team asking any available member of the team to sign the collection form (no matter how junior). After months of appealing the additional collections / invoices and receiving little to know response, we were told that although their account manager was at fault in not updating the internal system, it is our responsibility to monitor their team's collection frequency and turn the Iron Mountain team away. We will never again engage with their services.
I read a lot of negative reviews here, but I have the opposite experience. We needed to get the file RUSH from our storage and we got it on the time that we asked. Thanks to all the team, it was important as our boss needed to get it before the Christmas Holidays.
Special THANKS to Tim Bechtold, Transportation Supervisor in Calgary, Alberta, Canada for the attention and great customer service, and Paolo Angelo B., customer service representative who I chatted with.
We have been working with Iron Mountain since 2015, there were some difficulties, but all problems were resolved in a timely manner and we were happy with it. To some customers who couldn't reach the right person I'd advise to use CHAT, and now it's easy to reach the representative and during 24-48 hours you'll get the email from Customer Service. A few years ago it was not easy and sometimes I was 26th in the queue, but now they probably hired a lot of representatives and when I use chat I wait no more than 5 minutes! Its very simple! All representatives are very friendly and helpful.
We were only upset with the increasing rates, but we never get a few increases during the year like some companies got.
I wish Iron Mountain prosperity and happy clients in a new years.
