In his keynote talk 'Follow Your Dreams' Ricky describes his incredible journey from a council estate in Glasgow to the top of the world on his successful ascent of the world's highest mountain - Mount Everest. During that long journey, he faced and overcame adversity and mental health challenges - being arrested twice, dropping out of University twice, and being made redundant during his accountancy training. He bounced back and overcame redundancy by completing the Marathon des Sables, a 150-mile ultramarathon in the Sahara desert known as the ‘toughest footrace on earth’. Fab guide!
Ricky our guide was fab and made our hike very enjoyable. He was highly professional with a fun and friendly manner, always looking after the safety of our group members.
I would definitley recommend and would book another adventure in the future!! :-)

Fantastic experience with Ricky Munday - from the very first interaction with Ricky to the end I felt comfortable and safe throughout Ben Nevis experience. Would highly recommend Inspire Alpine every time.

National 3 Peaks Challenge
From start to finish of our National 3 Peaks Challenge, Ricky was the ultimate professional guide. Nothing was too much trouble.
We’re quite a competitive bunch, but with little mountain hiking experience.
The weather was great on Ben Nevis but awful on the Scarfell and Snowdon, with the added disadvantage of travelling in a slow minibus.
In the end, we nailed the challenge in under 24 hours, all thanks to Ricky motivating the whole group and pushing us to our limits.

We would definitely recommend Inspire Alpine :)
I wanted to take my 5 year old to climb Snowdon for the first time. It was his first time at the mountains ever, and I did not know what to expect, but I had hopes he would make it to the top if he committed to it. Although I have been up Snowdon a few times, when taking my little one, I felt that it would be crucial to have an experienced mountain leader with us and we decided to go with Ricky. He was amazing all the way, making sure that my son was entertained enough to keep motivated along the route, with a lot of patience and care with him all times. We made it to the top of Snowdon and I don’t think we would have achieved that without Ricky. He’s truly inspirational and made us feel safe and helped us achieve our goal the best way possible. I’m really glad I made the choice of having an experienced mountain leader with us, it gave me peace of mind that we would have a really good time at the mountains and challenge ourselves but also making sure we did so in a responsible way.

What a great day I had climbing crib…
What a great day I had climbing crib goch at snowdon. Being an amateur hiker with no climbing experience I wanted to get a private guide for going up Crib goch. I never got a private guide before so didn’t know what to expect. With Ricky it was relaxed and felt like climbing with a friend. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to climb with a guide.
