I joined the app and received my credit card. Regretfully, I have forgotten my password and block the account. As I do not have the last 4 digits of my bank account because I have never access the app, now my user is blocked and without the last 4 digits of my account, they can not reset my password as I am not passing the security verification.
The lady on the phone said someone from an office will call me to reset the password, but nothing happen. Already called twice but still waiting.

I have been using imagin for few months now and has been good until I tried to top up my revolut account and transaction has failed but money was deducted from my account. I requested chargeback with confirmation of failed transaction. For over month they were creating more and more friction asking same documents I already sent. When I told them I will complain to bank of Spain and disclose a case on social media they have blocked access to my account without returning my funds. Very bad experience, especially that I use that account for receiving salary and now I have no Idea how long it will take to unblock account and to access my funds to withdraw them. If I didn't have money on site I would not have resources to feed my kids. I do not recommend!
A bunch of incompetents
A bunch of incompetents, I've installed the application and given my details, I can't activate the card, they can't verify my identity apparently so they've also blocked me trying to open a joint account. When I call, the 2 employees hang up on me. And don't tell me to "message on Whatsapp" you guys don't answer.

Great bank. Do not believe the bad reviews
I am amazed by so many negative reviews. I’ve been using the app for years now and it is just perfect… if you know how it works. Many customers are having trouble receiving codes while transferring money or doing other operations because caixa’s security system is very strong and can’t accept unsecured lines. I had an international phone number which wasn’t considered safe by the Spanish banking system therefore it was very hard to receive codes or calls. As soon as I switched to a Spanish number everything worked just fine. Also, I never had a problem communicating with the customer service over the phone. People jump to conclusions way too fast. It’s a shame how a perfectly good app and banking service receives so many bad reviews because people don’t understand, nor are willing to learn how to use and appreciate technology.
Caixa scam.
Deposited 50 euros to “activate my account” after filling all my details. Address, phone number, passport etc. next day i open the app and it says that my account is not active. 50 euros gone, and support cant help me. Horrible company from caixa, once again.

I need to change EUR to USD but through…
I need to change EUR to USD but through the app I can only request them to send the amount to a specific address (I can´t just make an official request for the amount to be sent to one of the offices). I tried to call the customer support and request an appointment and the most rude person ever told me that I just need to go to a bank office and make my request. Of course she couldn´t reassure me that they would have any USD in that office (in fact she didn´t even try to ask me to what office I would like to go). So I will go today (the bank just doesn´t care) and I´m sure that they will just laugh at me saying that I should have an appointment (which is impossible to get)

Very non user friendly
Well, the app is not really user friendly. Loads of features that are not necessary, yet I can't just doqnload a statement. No. I have to find it amongst the sea of correspondence you send me. And now it seems I have to pay 40EUR penalty for not paying 66EUR on my "credit card" bearing 200EUR TOTAL ALLOWANCE! This penalty is UNREASONABLE! 20% levy for 1: seing 3 different amounts as to what to pay, 2: calling your customer service to receive a 4th number 3: very non-user friendly app, it makes life much harder, not easier.

Sadly, it seems like a failed Caixa project.
Imaginbank is pretty much the worst you can get
Imaginbank is pretty much the worst you can get when it comes to banking. From the people that work there, through their products and services, imaginbank is pure rubish and a waste of time!
Customer care considerably rude…
Customer care were considerably rude even during the signup process. Wouldn't like to (imagin)e what might happen once I'm a customer. Will look for another bank.
Completely useless services
Completely useless services, in terms of access, configuration and options (e.g., limit increase) through the app. I would never ever recommend its services to anyone.
After experiencing several of these problems, I'm moving immediately to a different company.
Continues breakdowns in the app service…
Continues breakdowns in the app service . 10 calls in which everybody gave a different answer for the app not allowing me to transfer money to myself ! Nervous breakdown, calls to my lawyer, etc
Finally the 10th person from la caixa told me there was an app problem. To start using your card you need to go to the bank ! in 2023 !!!!
No access account (Imagin / Caixa)
Opened account in May 2023. Couldn't access it via app.
Seven visits across 2 branches until I finally had access. Then the card failed to work so another visit for that. took 30 minutes for the director to fix this today (7 July 2023)
Now I see a debit of 25 € for a non resident certificate! They took copies of my TIE residency card at least 5 times, yet still they rob me of 25 €, knowing that I have been a resident since November 2021
No way on the app to reclaim the charge they are not entitled to make. So it seems I must waste more money, diesel and lose time to visit a branch AGAIN.
I have never in my life seen such incompetence from a bank. Their IT "systems" suck too. I think they must be 20c or reliant on smoke signals.
Imagin Bank - Terrible Bank with ZERO support.
I was trying to open an Imagin Bank account for a few months without any luck. For a while, the application stopped before "generating contracts" and got stuck there. I had access to the application, but could not open an account.
Recently I tried again - the application went to the end, doing an online interview, etc., but I received an email, "Your information cannot be verified at this time, try later". Tried again multiple times with the same result, and they do not give me any information about what exactly cannot be verified. Went to the Caixa bank branch - a representative tried to help me, but the result was the same. He suggested calling Imagin Bank phone support.
Well, yesterday I called 3 times - ALL 3 calls were dropped in the middle of the conversation (it was probably too close to the end of their shift).
Called today, and the representative told me to make screenshots and email them to the bank (I did that twice a few months ago without any response or result).
I explained that to him, and his answer was literally: "It is what it is, and I cannot help you, goodbye".
Please open an Imagin Bank account if you would like to be treated as a nuisance. My impression of their customer support - they are absolutely not caring, not qualified, not knowledgeable people the only goal they have is to get rid of you as fast as possible.
Expat in Spain
As an expat, I would not recommend.
I set up the account 31/01. At the time I did not have my NIE. On the 17/02 I sent my NIE via email as evidence that I was now a Spanish resident. I never received a response.
On the 31st of May I was charged €25 which was a “non-resident” charge for a background check.
When I called to question the charge on multiple occasions I was told the following by four different people:
Person A) all non Spanish people pay the fee, regardless of resident status.
Person B) My NIE was never applied to account therefore the charge should not have been made and I was allowed a refund.
Person C) This fee is only exempt if you show your NIE at the time of opening the account, not afterwards.
Person D) The only way to provide the NIE is in person at the branch not via email.
If the consultant had firstly explained that there would be a fee if I did not provide the NIE on the spot I would have understood.
If the consultant had answered my email and explained that I needed to attend the branch to upload the NIE then I would have done so.
As I have to close the account, I will never see that money again. Working for €9 an hour in Spain means I worked 3 hours for nothing. This could have been rectified if the consultant had just responded to my email saying that this needed to be shown in person.
In comparison. With Santander, it was the first account I opened upon arrival on the 4th of January. Then I provided my NIE via email on the 17th which was then accepted by the consultant.
As an expat, if you don’t know something, you rely on the staff to provide you with correct information.
I am out €25 for nothing and not one of the four people have been able to explain to me the reason for the fee or an apology for the inconvenience. I look like an idiot to these people, when in fact, if someone had responded to me question correctly this review would not have been written.
It was great that every person spoke English to help me, it’s just a shame, not one person actually knows why I was charged the fee or how to reverse it.
