From the store, while choosing a furniture and during the purchase process, Tao was very accommodating and very helpful. But, I ended up not buying a furniture due to some issues with the item... See more

Best service
Best service - thank you for modifying the order online
Terrible customer service
Ordered couch through msd and went to inquire in-store in riccarton dude was extremely rude and just keeped reapeatimg WHAT NUMBER. Then I had to ring customer service who took awhile to locate couch. 5 weeks later it arrives and the delivery driver has an attitude because there are road works down my street and barks at me to help him (the furniture deliverer) to help bring the couch inside then eyeballs at me and ignores all my questions. Couch it self was of good quality but I'm appalled at the customer Service standard
7mth old out door furniture fit for the tip. Under warranty yet no responsibility taken by Ifurniture... unbelievable!!
Do not purchase from this place!!! The quality is rubbish and nothing like advertised!
I purchased an outdoor set of furniture 7 months ago ($1400) and it is now fit for the tip! Ifurniture tell me the nature of the wood is to crack and turn black in the outdoors and yet it is sold as outdoor furniture and described as a 'long term asset'.
The cushion material is definitely not suitable for the outdoors. They were purchased as charcoal colour and now faded to a pale grey.Seriously!!! It is still under warranty but Ifurniture are not prepared to honor it. Absolutely shocking customer care.
I can only hope you read this review so that you do not have the same shocking experience ...and now the cost to replace along with tip fees!! I wish I had taken the time to read reviews by so many other dissatisfied customers prior to purchase.
Hard to believe this place can operate like this. Small Claims Court here I come!
I was worried but no problems …
I was worried about all the negative reviews but after speaking with Anna I felt confident to order a sofa suite and she arranged for it to be delivered the same week. it turned up when expected and there was no sign of damage. The feet for the sofas are stored under the sofa in a zip area. Very happy with sofa, comfortable. Thanks Anna for making the sale smooth.
Warning about Ifurniture — avoid at all costs!
Warning about Ifurniture — avoid at all costs!
I ordered a mattress and furniture combo set from Ifurniture in Calgary, and it’s been a nightmare. The mattress arrived defective — seams coming apart and stitching torn — and the furniture had multiple damages too. I reported everything within 24 hours.
Since then, it’s been over 3 months of constant delays, failed delivery attempts, and broken promises. I waited 6 weeks for a replacement sock from Edmonton that never arrived. They purposely made me wait so I’d miss the 7-day return window, then used that as an excuse to deny my refund — which is unfair and against consumer protection laws.
Their Calgary manager yelled at me repeatedly, claiming he was “trying to resolve” things despite five failed delivery attempts. He screamed over me, refused to let me speak, and harassed me so badly the police advised me to communicate only via email. I had to ask at least four times to stop the harassment.
Yesterday, the supervisor was dismissive and rude, telling me, “This has been happening too long, we already heard you.” She promised to call me back at 8 p.m., but never did. Now, when I call, they simply hang up on me or disconnect immediately.
They also tried to keep my delivery fee and charge me for picking up the furniture! Be careful — they lie about their policies and have given me at least three different reasons why they won’t accept the return.
I called their customer service 28 times in one day — most calls were ignored, hung up on, or disconnected immediately. It took them a whole month to respond to an email, and now I’m stuck in endless silence and broken promises.
They still hold my money but haven’t delivered what I paid for. I have recordings and proof of everything and am preparing complaints with Service Alberta, BBB, and Small Claims Court.
Here's what I am doing in case anyone's in a similar situation.
Contact Service Alberta’s Consumer Investigations Unit — they handle unfair business practices in Alberta.
File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
Consider Small Claims Court to recover your money; keep all emails, call logs, and recordings as evidence. I have recordings of all interactions with them as they appeared shady as soon as they took my money
If you face harassment or threatening behavior, involve the police or seek legal advice.
Ifurniture’s customer service is unprofessional, dishonest, and abusive. Avoid them to save yourself the stress and frustration.

Company is not based in New Zealand
Realised after I'd paid that this was a company based in China not New zealand, but they use .nz. so you presume great I'll get my goods delivered in a week. No way hose it'll be at least 2 mths. I was furious. Never again will I be caught out.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM
Drove 30 minutes to their cold showroom after seeing a coffee table online. turned up and was told I have to pay then collect from the warehouse the next day. Paid my $329 and drove 30 minutes home. Drove 30m the next day to collect from warehouse and then 30m home only to find scratches all over the table. Then found out the legs wouldn't attach properly and wobbled. Also the 4th leg didn't attach at all. Drove 30m back to get a refund.... no problem. He said 3 working days. after 4 working days I'm told we had to review the refund even though I was told instore we will issue. 4 days later i'm told it's on it's way but they have to get proof from the accounts team. So how do they know it's gone through if they need proof from accounts? told it will be in my bank 1-3 working days which is more than I was told. Terrible company, cheap furniture, cold showroom and even worse customer service.
Buyer beware misleading free shipping…
Their website advertises free shipping to Tauranga for orders over $799. I had $1400 worth of furniture in my cart that was inline with the T&Cs displayed but the free shipping was not given. I reached out to customer service and they said they would send me an invoice with the free shipping included. Then the invoice came incomplete. I submitted a support ticket but it was ignored. I reached out again and was told the free shipping doesn't apply to my address. I live in Tauranga less than 2km from HWY2 and 4km from the city center. Needless to say, I'll be spending my money elsewhere. Misleading advertisement, Hidden T&Cs, and bad customer service. I'm pretty sure this violates NZ consumer laws too.

Wish their staff
Wish their staff, including their delivery personnel would not be so rude, customer service should be changed to customer dis-service. Ordered a mattress and availability date kept changing without so much as an apology, other items - delivery free I was told, then they came and left the stuff outside in the rain repeadly imploring them to please keep it just inside the door went on deaf ears, they pretended not to understand English or probably didn't, but they were screaming at each other in their native mandarin. Spoke to customer service later. They were equally rude, said delivery is door step and for placing inside the door extra charge applies, then why was I told delivery is free? Why now are you reading me the fine prints? Am I your last customer? Never again, Just Never Again
If I could rate 0 stars I would
If I could rate 0 stars, I would. Firstly, went in store (thurs 10/4) to buy a sofa bed in prep for Easter weekend as I was expecting guests and because it said it is available for warehouse pick up, told in store that they actually cannot do warehouse pick up as there is no stock. I was understanding as sometimes online stock in a lot of stores are incorrect, they said it would arrive by Monday (14/4) and can pick up on Wed (16/4). Turned up on Wed, told to go to their warehouse for pick up, turned up at the warehouse and told that the order did arrive on monday but it was broken so they had to request again because they did not want to give me a broken sofa (as if I would have accepted) so I wont be able to pick up until after easter, told that if I want it before Easter I can drive to Auckland and pick it up. Requested a refund on 16/4, told on 17/4 refund has been processed and will take 3-5 days. It is now 28/4 and still no refund, I had to reach out again, told via chat it had been processed 17/4 but then received email 1hr later that actually the refund was missed and has just been processed today. Lie after lie after LIE from ifurniture. Service was pleasant until I paid then absolute rubbish, the worst I have ever experienced. To this day, no apology whatsoever from any of the many members I have spoken to.
Interesting Experience
Well that was an experience! This is definitely a low budget place, where there is furniture crammed everywhere in a very old, not that clean warehouse.
I went for an adjustable computer monitor stand and based on their website I could;
- see it in their showroom - this was true and it was what I saw on the internet
- do an immediate instore online purchase - this was true but be aware there is a 3% credit card SURCHARGE! As I understand this is against commerce commission rules as any surcharge should reflect the cost to the retailer. Consumer says anything over 2% is too much - and that was before credit card companies we forced to reduce their fees, by the govenment, last year.
- that you could pick it up there - this was not true. I had to drive 7 minutes to another warehouse. this place was even more run down and they brought everyone's goods out without cleaing the dirt and diesel dust off the cartons.
BTW - the monitor stand was advertised as being 40% off for the Easter sale, but looking at the tag on the diplace model it has been at the 40% off price forever, so beware of their "sale". This "sales tactic" is another against the rules of the Commerce Commission.
Overall I got what I wanted for a reasonable price and it seems to work well so far.
Overall I had a positive experience
Overall I had a positive experience. The furniture was good quality even though it needed to be assembled. The mattress is the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. The delivery was good and they texted to confirm the time they’d be at my house. Only thing is they won’t take furniture up stairs, you have to pay extra for that. Just one thing and that is there were a couple of issues with email communication initially but eventually I got what I needed. I would recommend ifurniture they are good value for money.
Cheap cost equals poor quality...
My actual furniture that I purchased wasn't too bad (you get what you pay for). However, there were two damaged parts that came in the box upon delivery - a sofa foot and a middle sofa support item.
I physically visited the Westgate Auckland store to try and order the replacement parts. The level of customer service that I encountered however was dreadful. The sales lady at the store tried to suggest that I had 'perhaps damaged the parts myself, upon assembly'. Which is not true. She said 'we don't usually get this problem from other customers'. Which I suspect is also not true.
Personally, I would recommend buying your furniture elsewhere, if you can afford more. Ifurniture is very cheap for a reason - the products are mostly poor quality, and the customer service is terrible.

I am very disappointed with the warrenty services about the product
I am very disappointed with the warranty service. I purchased a high-quality bed for around $1,800, and within 10 days, the bed broke, particularly the headboard. I also noticed that the joints were coming apart everywhere.
I submitted a complaint through their online portal, which has been frustrating and ineffective. I uploaded over 20 photos, but they claimed they were unsatisfied with the images because of issues with zooming in and out. Eventually, I decided to make videos of the damage and sent them to the email address listed on the invoice and their website. The portal is also linked to the same email address, but now they claim they cannot access my videos.
After numerous follow-up calls for 1 month, they asked me to send the headboard to their shop at my own expense and to wait at least 5-7 working days for an inspection. They have not clarified whether they will return the bed to me afterwards. As a customer who invested $1,800 in this product, I am shocked and stressed over this experience. I have attached some pictures for reference so others can see the issues and share their opinions on the situation.
DO NOT USE!
DO NOT USE!! This is the crappiest, nastiest super thin fall apart shit furniture ever seen. Absolute waste of money, and useful for the rubbish dump only.
The 5 star reviews on here are all a scam. If you go back over this page they are on repeat, clearly paid for by the owner. When there is a genuine review it is 1 star.
Damaged products and bad customer service
I received a damaged bed base and mattress on 7/1/24. Trying to get replacement products has been extremely slow, and they have not made my issue a priority like they said they would. Ultimately, I am going to return everything and demand a full refund as this is still an ongoing issue. This is hands-down the worst customer service I have ever received from any company. Do not buy from them.
If only I could show a video of my terrible household furniture
If I could upload a photo or a video of the lounge suite I have not even owned for a year and that has fallen apart already due to it being made by somebody who clearly did not have a clue I would!
The arm of my armchair came away from the base within only a couple of months and when I went to try and repair it the reason that had happened was because the screws that were meant to hold the arm firmly against the base we're not screwed into anything! They have just been pushed into a thin piece of wood and there is nothing to hold it together, so of course it was going to fall apart within a few times of someone sitting in it! The person who made it for Ifurniture or/and the company clearly would have known that also and if not, they are clearly in the wrong profession as they do not have a clue!!
As for our two seater that came with the armchair...... we have had to stop sitting on it as we can feel the hard wood in the seats and it makes your butt sore.
The cushioning was clearly not cushioning and it has just gone
flat and disappeared somehow.
I am so appalled that we paid good money for these items and got absolute shite. I did complain about the items immediately when we got them as I could tell there was something not quite right, but the process I had to go through with the robots on the other end of phone in a completely different place, had wanted photos of my issue, and then they wanted a video of it and also diagrams showing the fault. OMG, it was just ridiculous and I gave up trying as nothing would upload to them, but lnot knowing that it the chair would end up falling completely apart before a year was out!!
All I can do is "suck it up sunshine" and warn others not to make the same mistake we made.
We also purchased beds and a dining room table and coffee tables as well.
The dining room table was a nightmare to put together as the diagram was wrong and it also had the bolts wrong bolts but my brother managed to work out a way that it would stand although wobbles a bit, and my bedside table drawers no longer sit straight when I close them......UGHHHH just totally shocking workmanship!!
I am so appalled WITH IFurniture that it is not only ONE piece of furniture that is faulty, its literally EVERY ITEM!
We spent $2800 on items that are SO POORLY MADE that it's nothing more then junk now and I could have got better furniture from the inorganic rubbish collections, when people put their old used, yet still, usable furniture out 😢. EVEN THE DIAGRAMS DO NOT MATCH THE INSTRUCTIONS OR MAKE ANY SENSE. And yes, I hunted out the cheaper places to get our furniture from, due to our very limited budget and needing to start all over from scratch, as we had literally nothing to furnish our new home. So to end up spending the money and still have nothing due to I Furniture's VERY, VERY POORLY MADE FURNITURE, zero moral compass is very maddening. It is really terrible the way they are ripping off hardworking people, in a round about way and getting away with it, obviously time and again going by other customers experiences too as reviews clearly show.
But as long as people continue to buy Ifurniture will continue ripping consumers off and making a good profit off unsuspecting consumers tg
this way. So all I can do now is to try and advise and warn people to PLEASE, PLEASE do not risk waisting your money, time or mental health and find somewhere else to purchase good, long lasting, reasonably priced furniture and DO NOT shop at IFurniture!
