I strongly do not recommend using Hubzu.
I participated in only one auction, and after that Hubzu repeatedly attempted to place a $1,000 deposit hold on my card. This happened about four times, roughly once a week. Each time the transaction stayed pending for almost the entire week before being reversed.
Luckily, I was using an Apple Card, where I could change the virtual card number in real time. Otherwise, I would have had to keep dealing with these repeated pending authorizations.
I contacted Hubzu several times by email, but they did not respond even after 10 days. I also left voicemail messages. When I finally reached them by phone, they told me they could not find my account by my name or even by the credit card information.
The customer support experience was terrible. Based on my experience, I would not recommend doing business with this company unless you want to risk repeated unauthorized card authorizations and no meaningful support.
