The HP smart app does not even deserve a 1 star rating, but you have to tick just one star! Absolute pile of rubbish, fairly straight forward to setup but often go print something and nothing happens... See more

Dreadful
Dreadful, never again , when the inks gone , printers going . As far as i can tell , the whole product is just a mechanism to sell monthly ink deliveries.
New 8015e Printer
New 8015e Printer. HP Smart App loaded, but have to sign in to account - so I tried and tried and tried. Then 2 calls to HP Support. They couldn't figure it out so said they would transfer me to the computer tech. The computer tech wanted me to pay $55 and 17 a month to get assistance - I declined. The Smart App is useless and no way to use the scanner or fax without the App - terrible decision on the part of HP. Returning this printer and going with another brand after 20+ years of using their products - By the way, I don't speak India speak - their tech support!
**Update
After the 3rd try, actually got a printer tech on the phone that knew what he was doing. Smart App was corrupted, he rebuilt and reinstalled printer with both the WiFi and the usb. It's now working.
I have a negative review of HP…
If I could give a negative review of HP Smart, I would do at least three times. I cancelled the service on two separate occasions, Verbally. Another via email on a third occasion. They failed to follow my directive and then billed me $25.57 for another month. I have had two conversation today, 05-09-24, two of which with representatives that claim to be supervisors. One of which claimed at the beginning of the conversation that they had the ability to issue a credit. All three of the reps claim that they are following "business protocol" and escalating the complaint to a supervisor, and they will contact me in a few days for any possible refund. My question to them is you have not followed business protocol in the past so why are you following it now. Irene and Ella need to be retrained on how to deal with their past and current clients. I am one of the past. I have been a loyal customer to HP for at least 30 years. Furthermore, I have never had anyone at HP so such blatant disrespect. The only thing they had to do is say "Oops, we made a mistake. I am issuing a refund now." But they choose to no listen to a client, whether former or current. Do not sign up for HP Smart as they are not capable of follow clients directive and just bill as they see fit.

If I can use any function without frustration, I would have given two stars
If I can use any function without frustration, I would have given a two-stars review.
Adding a printer requires logging into hp.com. Not recognizing my printer at first attempt.
Scanning to local requires logging in, too. Scan preference reset after scanning each page. Crash after rotating and cropping six pages manually before scanning.
I used to love HP printers and I owned two previous models. Now I will avoid any HP products for the sake of "HP Smart".
Absolute joke of a company
Absolute joke of a company, customer service is rude and unable to assist or even have knowledge about their own services, Mis sold services, refused to rectify the issue, remotely stopped my printer from working, would not roll over unprinted pages (unsure why they even have this feature) no supervisor available to rectify the issue simply only untrained staff working from home who are rude and havn't got a clue how to be professional, I will have to dispute past payments with my credit card company as theres no one to speak with. A joke of a company AVOID AVOID AVOID
Website and App just sends me in circles…
Website and App just send me in circles and will not connect to the instant ink subscription to enable printing. I have spent the last 3 hours trying to get it to work, after 3 factory resets and continual web and app connection and I decided to telephone the "help" and they are just as useless
HP smart printers - less use than cockroach vomit
Every conceivable that a printer should do seems impossible for HP allinone printer (2700 series). Will not repeat other reviewers complaints here, but, today's numerous failings include requesting a new password BEFORE verifying my email. ANYONE could hijack your printer with such non-security. Needless to say, the "smart" software insists there are 2 instances of the same printer - one offline showing it is connected to a router (yes!!!), the other stating it's online but the menu page says it's offline, preventing access to all the functions, unless one creates a new account... Duh ... A sack of cockroach vomit would be more useful!
A piece of rubbish that replaced a decent app
Recently bought new Windows11 pc to replace my older Win10 machine. The HP Scan app that I used with Windows10 has been retired and replaced by Windows smart. The scan quality using HP Smart is far below that obtained from the 'retired' HP Scan app. This is one more case of changing a perfectly good app for a piece of rubbish. I am now investigating the possibility of using a third party app for scanning
Not Impressed REVISED now I’m happy!
I had HP print software years ago and uninstalled it and it took with it most of my others stuff on my PC.
Bought another HP printer recently and sad to say the software seems poor. Constant spinning wheel and poor print quality to boot. I launched my last HP printer down the garden and this one may end up the same.
REVISION
Having had the printer for a while now I think I was harsh in my review problems encountered were mainly due to lack of use. I now quite like my little printer; so apologies to HP.
Smart ink but dumb agents
The ink might be smart, but the agents are not. They can't even switch my nee printer. 3 hours with tech support and I hung up. I will be going to Walmart and spending $50 on ink and it's fine. These people will suck up way more than $50 of my time for nothing. Bye Dumbink!!
HP in smart customer service agents fro…
HP in smart customer service agents fro Overseas are about dumbest I have ever seen. they are Lame and ignorant!!
HP Not So Smart
This is the worst piece of software I had the misfortune to use! Continually eats into memory which causes the sofware to crash! I am a software engineer with over 30 years experience and we would never release software that continually crashes during testing! This implies that the software has not been fully tested! Crashing seems to only occur when scanning, I've had no issues with printing..
'Simply the WORST..
'Simply the WORST... nothing but the very worst......'
HP Support is THE WORST
If you want to maintain your sanity and not waste hours of your life, DO NOT USE HP Smart or their customer service people. I cant believe how useless they are and they just kept transferring me back and forth to the same departments saying they couldn't help me. If I had to hear 'sorry for your inconvenience' one more time, I was going to lose it!! SO FRUSTRATED !
The most annoying software known to…
The most annoying software known to humanity. Crashes almost every single time, whether using scanner or printer. Does not work after installation. Is not recognised after installation. Works on every other machine except the new machine you need it to work on. Insane number of keystrokes + mouse clicks + steps needed just to scan one document.
Double sided scanning
How come it does not give an option to scan both sides of a page?
Whoever developed this piece of…
Whoever developed this piece of worthless software should be fired and sent to an Island to live out their days thinking about their bad choices.
They claim u save money with a pre-pay…
They claim u save money with a pre-pay subscription and u pay every month but don't get ink sent out every month, only when they can see on the app that it's running low but they still take your money every month, and then you have to pay for every page you print over and once you cancel your subscription they block you from using the printer so your left with a printer you can't use, would never recommend HP to anyone
Unsmart
Horrendous - Won't be buying a HP Printer again. The most unuser friendly an unsmart app ever
