Meet Howsy. A new concept designed to shake up the way renting works for good. We're on a mission to create a simple, intuitive and fairly priced experience that's powered by new ideas and brilliant technology. Mixing smart tech and know-how, we have a deep understanding of what renters want and Landlords need. We know the world of renting can be tough - boilers do break down at weekends, but it's our job to fix things efficiently, honestly and with a smile on our face. It is possible to combine great service with a fair price.

Abby was very help and prompt when dealing with my request today, great service thank you
As a small landlord this company are not interested in serving you all they are interested in is your money. When you contact them to ask questions their answer is to either blame the tenant, the computer or the previous person that you spoke to.
Their inspections are not worth the paper they are printed on. Their promises are not worth anythingf either. Landlords Beware!
Peggy rang me today and helped me with my profile and put an offer in for a property. She was extremely patient and very happy to help me with the process.
Toby Carter and Joana both have outstanding phone manner and are personable . They are very acknowlegeable about all your companies products. Itnwas a pleasure to speak with both of them. Because of them I will chose a product over your competitors. I offered to provide this review because of the above.
Thank you
Dr Major
Awful company, do not rent any house of these are the agents. Lies, left without heating for weeks, no washing machine for 2 months.
John McDonald was incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. He helped me resolve a property issue that I was worrying about for a while within a couple of minutes. He is incredibly helpful with excellent communication and customer service skills. I would recommend him again! Especially to landlords abroad.
So when it come to communication it is the worst company I have dealt with. I am still waiting for a response for more then 1 week after chasing up a query from a month ago I find that the quickest way to get any dort of service is to reply on here.
Terrible service. I knew the founder of Howsy before he sold the company to Dexter, and had high hopes on this digital estate agent. They claim to have a tech enabled system for tenant find. Ended up they founder a fraudster for my property, who stopped paying rent from the second month, sublet my property, broke tenancy agreement terms multiple times in multiple ways, and does not register for own utilities. All the claims about how they use open banking to screen tenants and do credit reference checks are nothing but a big lie. Worst still, they never respond to emails, and when I asked about that, they said they prioritize phone calls over emails. A so called tech company that doesnt even use email? What a joke. In fact they don't respond to phone calls either. The senior property manager says he will be personally in charge of my case, but every time I called, he's never available and never return calls. My arrears case is scheduled to go to court and the lawyer says my agent is supposed to attend as advocate, but Howsy refused to send anyone to attend. Howsy agents do not chase for the missing rent or deal with the numerous complaints I received from my property concierge regarding the tenant. If you use this agent, don't expect to get any customer service, you will be extremely disappointed. I wish I had just gone for an ordinary high street agent who would have charged higher fees but at least do their job properly.
I used Howsy to rent out my flat in London in Feb 2023. My contact Beatriz was great - her experience of the market and all the requirements to be met was incredibly valuable. She kept everything moving forward, and was really good about keeping me updated.
Very happy with the service that Howsy has provided to me as a landlord. I'd especially like to thank Charlie Longman for all his assistance and professionalism in managing my properties, he's a pleasure to deal with!
I've noticed a marked improvement in service levels in the past few months from Howsy. They're always responsive and I feel my properties are in safe hands with them.
Thank you to Abby for always be extremely helpful and caring.
Abby was very helpful and professional and was able to get me the documents I needed. Many thanks
I used to rent through Howsy and I am now getting sent debt letters which clearly belong to my old landlord. Howsy however seem intent on ignoring me when I've asked them to help.
Hanna Rawat was really helpful through the whole process of closing down my account and managed any complications really well with excellent communication and prompt updates throughout.
A great service on the phone! very helpful
I am a landlord and I am very happy with the way Howsy dealt with some recent issues on my behalf, particularly Daniel White, who has been particularly efficient, polite and kind. Thank you
Hanna Rawat was very helpful and polite and I like dealing with her couldn't be more helpful
Daniel White is a super efficient, courteous person in Howsy who gives excellent customer service. He goes above and beyond to allay apprehensions and is an active listener. I am grateful for his timely help during the festive season when most of his colleagues were away.
If you’re looking to rent a Howsy property but had the foresight to look up reviews of the company prior; regardless of how much you want to rent the property or the difficulty your having finding your right move, you should be aware that this is not a serious letting agency you really should take the positive reviews here with a grain of salt, this is a company that constantly request reviews from it tenants and at this point am sure that they have or had a reward mechanism for positive reviews, for their support staff, hence the overwhelming positive reviews here, that are not reflective of my experience as a current tenant.
This is by far the worst letting agency around and I’m taking my time to detail my complaint here to ward off tenants who may face the misfortune of renting one of their properties.
Am writing this review after having had a notice from Howsy to gain access to the property, that I rent, on short notice for re-mortgaging, which I requested they reschedule, only for Howsy to enable and facilitate for the landlord to turn up at the property unannounced and attempt to break into the property without permission, and not for the first time mind you, when I called them to complain, their staff (Chris, I believe) thought my complain to be funny and proceeded to repeat the landlords and her mother (both of whom turned up at the property, by the way) lies.
This company has the feeling of a ‘start-up’ letting agency, and just as clueless as the term sounds, it’s a company with two clients, the tenant and the landlord but acts in desperation to keep the latter happy and acts in absolute abandonment of the tenants’ rights, in my case even enabling the landlord’s harassment.
From the moment I moved in, Howsy has been in contact with me, constantly, emailing me persistently and frequently calling my phone, sometimes on a weekly bases; when I finally had enough, I made a data protection act request, asking them to delete all of my personal contact information and only contact me vie email moving forward, it took them only a week or so later for them to break it and call my phone, while feigning ignorance of the request.
Moving into a Howsy property has felt like, moving in with the letting agency and the landlord. The laws the UK has around being able to rent and live in the property undisturbed is something this agency does not practice, if am sure of one thing it’s that they are able to harbour the most heinous of landlords because they have complete disregards for tenants’ rights, am sure they are walking on a path to an inevitable lawsuit.
Thankfully for me my contract with them ends in the upcoming months, and I’ll be able to put the worst letting agency experience I’ve ever had behind me; they have wasted what was meant to be a busy work day, with me having to seek out legal advice from the citizen advice bureau, but once I move out they will be easily forgot and left in the past, I just hope am able to prevent someone from the same experience.
Daniel Property Manager is a great asset to Howsy.
He has been very helpful, prompt, extremely polite and kind.
He has sorted my query very quick and I am very grateful to him for the assistance provided.
Wishing Daniel and Howsy Team a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
