Himalayan Bliss Odyssey Retreat

The Himalayan retreat offers all that it promises and more, much more.

For someone who, as a rule, avoids group travel, this journey really makes you appreciate your fellow travellers on an adventure together.

What you quickly realise is that the logistics of such a varied undertaking require a sizeable team of highly experienced organisers, bus driver, trekking guides, cooks, mule drivers, rafting captains and kayaking guides that easily outnumbers the small group of participants, looking after them 24/7.

The food is delicious, varied, wholesome and healthy throughout, even when camping in the Himalayas or on the sandy shores of the holy Ganges river. It tastes all the better after trekking in the snow, rafting though some exciting rapids, or swimming under a waterfall post a hot and very tasty Biryani lunch break.

A feast for all the senses, experiencing the local culture & customs first hand, including the heartfelt warmth and kindness of the team and the local people. The Holi festival is very colourful indeed. The entire trip is an enthusiastic amateur photographer’s dream.

An unforgettable experience. At times challenging, yet always supported by the constant care and wonderful people that go out of their way to look after you. Am still basking in very warm memories, several weeks after returning home.
