Misleading payment terms- Refused to Provide Free Cancellation
Even a 1 star review is far too generous. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company based on my experience. I booked a reservation through Booking.com and the transaction flow was misleading, as it gave the impression of a reserve-now/pay-later process; however I discovered almost immediately afterward that the reservation was fully non-refundable.
I requested cancellation within minutes, but the company refused to work with me in any meaningful way despite the extremely short time frame. The company stated I would have to pay a cancellation fee of $515.90, which equates to nearly 90% of the total value of my reservation. I have never seen a cancellation fee structured so high. I believe the process is intentionally designed to confuse customers into committing to non-refundable reservations.
Due to my experience, I filed a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office and the Better Business Bureau regarding what I believe to be deceptive business practices surrounding the booking and cancellation process.
I strongly advise against spending your hard earned money atthis establishment.
