While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

I wanted to share my experience with Verkada, which unfortunately hasn’t been a positive one. At first, the platform seemed promising - sleek interface, decent hardware, and the appeal of an all-in-one solution. But over time, I ran into a major issue: the entire system is locked into a proprietary ecosystem that severely limits flexibility.
Everything is tightly controlled - from the cameras to the access systems to how data is managed — and it quickly became clear that integrating with third-party tools or customizing the setup to fit our actual needs wasn’t really possible. Even basic things felt restricted unless you went through Verkada’s own options, which usually came at an extra cost or required more commitment to their ecosystem. It started to feel like we were building our security infrastructure around their limitations instead of our requirements.
Eventually, the lack of openness and control just became too much. We've since migrated to a "pure cloud" based alternative that offers more flexibility, better pricing transparency, and a platform that actually adapts to how we work - not the other way around. Honestly, it's been a relief, and I only wish we’d made the switch sooner.
Accessible during the sales process but then impossible to reach for support.
High upfront costs with long term subscription that you pay upfront. Also limited customization. 1 star all around.
I was scammed by them. I advise any developer against cooperating with them.
I am an overnight security guard that was hired as a 3rd party supplemental security guard and tonight was my breaking point. People who obviously are not emergency services entered into the property after a vehicle left and just before it could close a person came up to the gate and blocked it from closing and were identified by an observing agent that they were emergency services. No they were not anyone with an ounce of intelligence can see that they were not. The observing agents are hit and a miss making this a very unreliable company. Marking people that are guests on the property as threats that are simply playing with their dogs as a threat but ignore someone for example obviously jumping over the fence as not a threat. I recommend seriously reviewing who the agent was that keeps doing this abhorrent view. I trust the courtesy alarm (from overly flow of activity) more than the observing agents misidentifying threats and non threats.
Stairway This company is totally unprofessional or a total scam they will take your money no Tech Support whatsoever it must be a scam
Tried to buy cameras from them on two different occasions. 1st time I just got sent a camera to "try out" with no instructions on how to install, fit or use. Second attempt over two months ago didn't even get that far.. was asked for my current barrier company's contact details as requested. Sent them on and waited.... And waited with no contact to the current barrier company or myself. I finally called. Sarah Len**an after my original deadline was passed by nearly a month to be told I had to call my current company and ask them for technical information (using my psychic mind reading abilities) as to what I needed to ask (btw) to them in the space of a 5min call to be then told that our current barriers weren't suitable. Absolutely useless from start to finish in every manner available to them
The most pushy sales staff I have ever come across in 43 years in the construction industry. I would never deal with a company that thinks that is the way to treat potential customers.
stop contacting companies
received a msg from Annie Kelly probably not a real person
Relentless, annoying and irritating spammers. Any company who uses these kind of tactics to sell products should be avoided at all costs.
'Garrett Brown' Keeps sending me spam emails. I've never met him. If this is how they try to get 'business' they are most likely not even a real company. I'd flag this is possible hacking / criminal activity.
I'm not leaving this through my company email, as I don't want more spam like this coming through.
Product is very powerful! You can search the videos by the color of clothing, they have facial recognition which is a bit scary. The interface is really intuitive and simple considering how robust their platform is.
I am looking to implement this not only at my office but at my home too!
