I rarely leave reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience with Homeshield to prevent others from going through what I have.
I engaged Homeshield in early March to purchase a new front door. I met with a representative, a young man identified in other reviews, selected a design, and paid £1,725 shortly after. From then on, the service fell apart.
Despite being told that the door would be manufactured promptly, weeks passed with no updates or progress. I had to chase them repeatedly via WhatsApp, phone, and email — and was met with silence, vague replies, and shifting information.
Eventually, I was told the original door hadn’t even been started. I was then sent two different design options (neither of which featured in their original brochure) and pressured to pay an additional £750 to “expedite” manufacturing. This charge was never clearly explained, formally agreed, or backed by any transparent process. When I asked for guarantees and clarity, communication became even more erratic.
Between 1st and 13th May, I made multiple calls to their office — most unanswered, some redirected, and all without resolution. Eventually, the young man abruptly told me the door was “no longer available.”
After two months of trying to get clarity and having paid in full, I was left without a product — and worse, my refund request was denied.
Their proposed “solution” was either to proceed with the original door they previously claimed hadn't been started, or to select something entirely different from their “current live brochure.” They failed to acknowledge how far this strayed from the original agreement, or take responsibility for their own role in the delays and confusion.
Their email communications were dismissive and legalistic, claiming:
“We categorically dispute all allegations,”
“Your claims are entirely without merit,”
“We will not be responsible for any legal or administrative fees you choose to incur,” and
“We will not engage in further informal dialogue.”
This tone is not unique to my case — if you read other negative reviews, you’ll see the same template responses: denying any wrongdoing, rejecting legitimate concerns, and insisting they’ve “acted within the terms of the contract,” while ignoring the very behaviour that caused the complaint in the first place.
I fully expect Homeshield will respond to this review in the same robotic, dismissive tone, making no effort to acknowledge fault or resolve the issue in good faith. That in itself tells you everything you need to know.
They want to shift blame, absolve themselves of responsibility, and claim legal protection, while conveniently forgetting the lies, misrepresentation, poor service, and pressure tactics that got us here.
Let’s be absolutely clear:
No door was delivered.
My refund request was ignored.
They lied about the status and availability of the original design.
They failed to communicate clearly or consistently.
They refused to take accountability.
This experience has caused stress and disruption to me and my family — especially my wife, who is a new mother — at a time when we should have been focused on more important things.
I will now begin formal proceedings with Trading Standards and prepare to take legal action.
The only star here is for their sales agent’s ability to get me to proceed quickly — something I now seriously regret.
Homeshield might look polished online, but once they have your money, the support vanishes. They will try to force their way forward, even when it’s clear they haven’t delivered what was promised.
Please read the negative reviews — I wish I had. This is not a one-off, it’s a consistent pattern.
Avoid this company.

I had a great experience with Zach—he was very kind, professional, and explained everything clearly. I highly recommend him. The quality of their windows is also excellent.

Updated Review – Ongoing Concerns, Poor Conduct, and Escalation
We initially placed our order in January with a promised installation timeframe of 10–12 weeks. After chasing repeatedly with little to no communication, we finally received a vague timeline only after leaving a review. Despite reassurances and a public apology, the poor service continued — including broken promises of updates, no meaningful contact from anyone in a position of authority, and further delays.
When installation finally occurred, the experience was distressing. Payment demands contradicted the company’s own contract terms, and the conduct of staff on-site raised serious safeguarding concerns. Our formal written complaint has since been met with a dismissive and defensive response, denying all wrongdoing and even referencing irrelevant personal remarks made to staff — a deeply unprofessional approach.
We no longer trust this company, have cancelled the remaining works, and are now escalating the matter to Trading Standards and exploring formal dispute resolution.
We would strongly urge others to proceed with caution. A professional front masks deeper issues with communication, integrity, and customer care.

Sigh, typical pushy sales people. Unfortunately they teach these young people to pressure you into a sale. I hosted the sales rep for over 2 hours before finally kicking him out of my house.
There is no discussion around how much time you have and even though I explained to the sales rep that I also work in sales and just wanted a quick quote as we were just starting to look. He continued to try and create urgency and didn't read the room. Eventually I had a work meeting on teams, I did explain to the sales rep that I needed to join this meeting and he only had 10 minutes left. Rather than being respectful he continued to do his sales pitch. I then had to shout at him to get out before I kick him out.
Please train these youngsters better. Read the room. He then had the cheek to text me a few days later and say how well things went and then call also hahaha. Wint be getting my money that's not how you build relationships
(As you cannot respond to replies on here thise is my response to home shield. A 2 hour home visit is not 5 minutes. Take some responsibility. I have left feedback and left off the sales reps name. On purpose. You guys have to change you training as it is clearly poor. Your rep had more than 2 hours uninterrupted. Leading the customer to say yes several times won't get you the sale. Pretending that there is a huge discount that can only be applied today won't get you the sale either. Poor response from a poor company)

Added feedback on their advertisement but they blocked me. They don’t want anyone to know the truth
I was visited by the sales person promising me that installation would be done in 4-6 weeks which then turned into 9-10 week and now received an email that it would take another 2-4 week before the installation would be completed. I would not recommend this company at all. If anyone wants any evidences now how badly they performance - reach out to me.

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience!
My installation was delayed by 8 weeks.
The quality is far below what I paid for.
The installation team was rude and arrogant, they also damaged my walls around every window they installed leaving holes where cold air is now coming in to the house.
I ordered black frames but received a brown instead, not what I wanted at all! I wish I could share a photo on Trustpilot.
Overall, I’m completely unsatisfied and feel like I wasted my money.

We cannot praise Homeshield England enough, from the original sales and product meeting with Saj who worked so hard to get us a very good deal for the windows and front door. Zaara was absolutely fantastic with helping us with all the administration
from placing the order, scheduling delivery. Adam the installation manager was so helpful from his site visit to helping us with the products even after we placed the order and couldn't have been more helpful and professional when we wanted to add a new window canopy. The installation team who's names we didn't get, sorry, were excellent friendly and so professional, nothing was a problem and they always worked with a smile on their faces. The quality of the products also needs a very special mention which we cannot be more pleased with. Thank you to everyone for everything and we look forward to getting the conservatory windows changed next.
