The customer service from Ardmoor is very good, however do be wary of purchasing any hoggs of fife products from them. Ardmoor will only act as an intermediary. I purchased a pair of Highs... See more

Poor product, worse customer service

Both boots split to let water in after less than 2 years use - perhaps to be expected with cheap boots, but not an £80+ pair. To compound the situation, when I contacted Hoggs, they advised returning the boots to the original retailer, who would then forward them to their Customer Service dept. In other words, I had to fork out the postage with no guarantee of any compensation (which they almost certainly wouldn't give due to their 12 month warranty policy). So, poor products, and even worse customer service. Avoid.

Hoggs’ wellingtons again

Hoggs’ FS 365 Field Sport Wellingtons are described as “a high performance field boot suitable for all country activities” offering “abrasion resistance, comfort and durability” but after an estimated just 24 months hours of light wear, mine leaked badly and they refused to replace them.
I bought these boots for £72.21 and at that mid-range price from a company which claims to offer quality products and good service, I would give them I expected them to last 4-5 years. Although there is no sign of any damage or punctures and the soles are hardly worn, after just 24 months mostly walking the dog on pasture land, the right boot developed a bad leak that left my foot soaked after ten minutes in wet grass – “high performance” and “durability”? Hardly!
At first Hoggs weren’t interested at all but eventually offered 20% discount on a new pair – ie just 5% more than their sale at the time. These boots now cost £89.95, so after lasting far less than would be expected from a budget welly, they want me to shell out another £70-odd and hope a new pair might last a bit longer.
Hoggs’ clothing seems fine but their boots should definitely be avoided; after this refusal to stand by their products I certainly won’t be buying from them again.

Hoggs of Fife Field Sport wellingtons

Bought a pair of Hoggs of Fife Field Sport wellingtons 30th sept 2021 to walk my labrador during the wet muddy winters. Well 2.5 winters because now they are both leaking and one is split on the side. The boots were good to walk in and warm on cold days . Unfortunately now useless as they both leak. Expensive to buy so I thought they would last , sadly not. Only recommendation is buy wellingtons made by a different company .

Disappointed

I bought some very expensive Wellington boots with neoprene last year. A few months later we bought a pair for our son. My husband wore then casually, our sone when out on the moors. Sadly both pairs broke within a year, leaking and with ripped lining. For that price we expected them to last much longer. Very disappointed.

Midge suits broke after two days use

I bought three midge suits several months in preparation for a family holiday in the Highlands. The suits appeared fine at first but within three days the zip had broken on the neck part of each suit. I have to say we were not unduly rough with them for this to happen so quickly. Suffice to say I am very disappointed as felt it was a good product but cannot recommend them as expensive for basically two days use.
So please do not buy midge suits from this company.
If they come back and replace them l will amend this statement.

Hoggs Field Sport Wellingtons not fit for purpose

I purchased a pair of Hoggs Field Sport wellingtons at the end of last year and started wearing them for dog walking from Feb this year. After 10 weeks the heel has completely disintegrated on the the inside of one of the boots and they are totally unwearable. Cannot find any guarantee or warranty to return them under so my advice is to avoid this companies products as I will in future.

Out of warranty but little use. Should be fit fir purpose.

Having had a pair of hoggs neoprene wellies myself for 1 years, and using them for beating at shoots as well as dog walking, I was so impressed in 2020 that i bought a pair for my wife for dog walking.
They've only been used 30 to 40 times over 2 winters, to walk the dogs on sand or forestry roads, and they've started leaking at the big toe area (upper to sole has parted slightly) .
They'll be lucky to have covered 100miles. They were bought through shoe station(they conveniently do not sell direct) so I had to go through them to report it, even though I had already spoken to hoggs.
The reply simply from hoggs (shoe station were sent pics of the boots and leak area and submitted them to hoggs)was, they're out of warranty which I sort of understand. I'm adamant they've had little use and should be more fit for purpose (which my own ones seem to be.)
Feeling really let down by a company I had high respect for.
I wouldn't buy again.

I bought a pair of hoggs of fife…

I bought a pair of hoggs of fife Artemis safety boots. The boots are like new after a few months of wearing but what purpose will they serve when the front soles are loose and a bit broke off terrible quality boots

Munro classic walking boots a dont buy

Munro classic walking boots, fully waterproof, Yes but only for one season.
I had the boots for two years but only one winter, hence my failure to get any satisfaction from Hoggs of fife, Even though there was next to no wear on them as i only used them in wet conditions.
I DO NOT recommend them

Wellies made in China

Recently purchased some Wellies presuming them to be manufactured in Coventry as per various Hoggs of Fife articles published on web. After various email requests to Hoggs they later informed me that product actually manufactured in China. However that’s not so much the issue as these are terrible fitting wellingtons loose and very uncomfortable.
