We hired our GPS via eBay which went very smoothly. All we needed to do after paying was let them know our dates which we duly did and they were very helpful on the phone. We thought the price was excelllent.

They said they would send the GPS out just under a week before we travel so as to ensure we receive it in time. We then received a notification that it had been dispatched immediately which was a bit odd and I hoped we weren't going to get charged for having it longer as we weren't going for almost 3 weeks! I needn't have worried because the unfortunately we did not receive it then nor on the date they had originally said it would arrive by. I panicked and phoned them and they were brilliant: very apologetic, offered a discount off our next hire and said they were sending out by special delivery that day. Fortunately it did arrive and it worked well and got us round 1400 of 4 states in the USA in one piece. All in all, a successful hire. Bit disappointed with the brevity of email that I received when i returned asking them to confirm that they had received the GPS I had posted back (thought they would let me know?) and to confirm they had offered a discount next time. That said, none of these issues would deter me from hiring again as at the end of the day we got the product we paid for and they rectified their issues extremely quickly and were quick to apologise etc. We will definitely use this company again but hope our feedback will be taken on board for future customers. Thank you.

I had to remind this company that I needed the SatNav urgently as it did not arrive on the due date.
In use, a good basic SatNav for use in Menorca, although very difficult to find Spanish roads and streets. The view Map facility was a much better way of navigating round the island.

Booked a last minute holiday in US and was thrilled to be able to hire a GPS here for half what the car hire company was asking! Paid minimal amount extra for next day delivery before 1pm (it arrived at 11am). Rang to book and they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.

I would recommend this company to anybody and certainly will use it again myself in the future

I had a Garmin Sat Nav for Orlando & it took me door to door on every trip, not even any need to program destinations as I just used Points of Interest - Attractions- Theme Parks and they were all listed - Disney, Universal, Sea World etc.
Recommended & I will be using them again.

When I phoned the company I was instantly impressed with the friendly and helpful telephone manner.

I very easily ordered my USA Sat Nav well in advance of my trip and as promised arrived well in advance of my departure date.

I must admit I would have been totally lost without it and the Sat Nav very easily found all of my locations plus more - I particularly found searching for restaurants very easy as we didn't always know where we were going to eat every night.

The whole returns process when I arrived back in the UK was very easy.

I'm off to Miami in October and will definitely be calling HireGPS again.

There's no question that the overall service and value for money is commendable. But actually using the device on the journey between Washington and New York, was not as simple or stress-free as it could or should have been. The device we were supplied with was far too complicated to use - not allowing for simple addresses to be inputted, so e.g. it didn't recognise the street name at Washington Airport for us to drop off the hire car, or indeed didn't recognise when we searched for Washington Airport itself. In the end, this is a simple route from New York basically along one motorway, but it created unnecessary nervousness for our return leg, that would make me think twice about hiring a device again unless it was a superior model.

I looked at a number of companies on the web to gauge the best supplier of a GPS sat nav for my trip to the USA in July. Based on the competitive rates offered and the excellent reviews from earlier customers, I chose SatNavUSA.co.uk. The whole thiong was easy! I paid the set fee, received the unit two days before we left for the UK airport, and that was it! The system worked fine, and I am really glad that I had one. A few friends had told me "Don't worry, you can use a map"; - no way, thankyou!! I was glad I had it as otherwise I could have been ten of miles off route, plus the time and additional fuel. When we returned to the UK, equally easy. Just put it in the envelope to return to the offices in Devon. Just had to take it to the local post office and pay the carriage. Next time I'm on vacation to the USA, I will definitely be making a call to SatNavUSA!! Excellent service!

This is the second time we've used this company to hire a SatNav for a US holiday and they've been totally reliable and a pleasure to deal with. Hiring a car with SatNav in the US can cost up to $10 dollars a day, so for a 16 day trip it's considerably more than we paid to hire a brand new Garmin. BE WARNED: booking a hire car with SatNav in the US (and probably elsewhere) doesn't necessarily mean they'll have one available when you collect it. The couple in front of us were told their car didn't have SatNav even though they'd booked it; not much use to a non-English speaking couple on their first holiday in the US. :o(

Great to have a little time at the end of the hire to get it back. Everything was delivered as described in carry case.

After ordering the sat nav we were a bit dubious if it would be suitable once we got to Florida, our fears were quickly allayed as it was a great bit of kit. The service was first class also with the sat nav arriving in good time and all packaging & instructions for returning it enclosed. I would definitely use them again and have recommended them to several of my friends!!!!

Unit arrived on time and worked well (appeared to be brand new). Handy service for me as don't live in the UK and cheaper to hire than via the car rental companies I use when I come back. Only drawback is "hidden" fees to send back which adds another nearly GBP7 to final cost.

We were a bit wary in hiring a GPS as we had never done so before and also never heard of the company...we shouldn't have been worried! Great company to hire from, service was very good. GPS unit was top notch, couldn't ask for better. No hesitation in recommending this company to frinds and family!

I hired a Sat Nav for 1 month while I was in California. It arrived a good 5 days before set off as promised. It was easy to use and reliable throughout the whole time I was there. Would definitely recommend this company. Superb service both times I have rented from them.

Arrived well before departure date .Really pleased we hired sat nav via this company for our recent hol, made every journey easy ,most of all the initial journey from airport to villa address . Cost of renting was slso far cheaper than cost of including built in sat nav with car rental. Would def recommend to friends and family in future.

We hired a satnav and were assured that the item would be with us 2 days before our holiday. When that didn't happen, I called them and was told that the item had been sent and a card was left. There was never a card and I told them. I was told where the item was held and if I could get over there, the consignment number. I was also told that if I wasn't able to pick it up, the money would be refunded. Fair enough. But it doesn't take much to send an e-mail out saying: 'you should have your item now, if not...'. Anyway, picked it up the evening before we went on holiday, no time to play around. Two days into our holiday, the charger packed up. We were only provided with one, although it probably is delivered with at least 2. We were able to purchase one from Walmart in Florida. The maps on the GPS were old, not updated for a long time, so usually, we were sent to do u-turns constantly. On our way back, we stopped in Toronto for a few days and the GPS could not get a Satellite for most of the time in Toronto. I complaint to HireGPS when we came back but no reply.

This was much cheaper than the satnav offered by Hertz USA and also cheaper than upgrading my own Garmin satnav. This is such a good service and I would definitely recommend it!

Everything was perfect from start to finish. We received our SatNav 5 days before we left and had plenty of time to send it back once we arrived home. Very easy to use satnav, I don't know what we would have done without it! Trip was to Florida in September 2012.
