Highly professional, skilled and honest
I became a client of Hill St Clinic about 15 years ago, when I noticed the first signs of aging in my face and was considering Botox. I was aware from my research, that Dr Huss is very well educated and highly respected in her field. My consultation confirmed that yes, I was dealing with a true professional who can be trusted with my face. I booked an appointment and Dr Huss set about slowing time. My first round of Botox targeted the lines in my upper-face and I was very impressed with the natural looking smoothing of my skin.
Months later, I returned for another round of Botox, and Dr Huss suggested a slightly different approach, explaining that I'd be better served with using it to lift my brows and open my eyes. This would still result in some softening of the lines but that would not be the primary focus of the treatment. She was absolutely right. My face looked fresh, awake and certainly younger.
I've always had heavy, drooping lids that made me look tired and older. I mentioned to Dr Huss that I'd like to have surgery on them one day but couldn’t afford it. She told about blepharoplasma, explaining that it could tighten the skin on my eyelids. She made sure that I understood that the treatment would not be able to achieve the same results as actual surgery, but it was an affordable alternative that tided me over nicely until I had a bigger budget.
My mouth is downturned at rest and my lips are thin. I asked Dr Huss for her opinion on lip enhancement and she walked me through my options. Taking into account my lifestyle, Gertrude advised against Botox, so we went with filler. Dr Huss explained to me that she'd also inject the area above my top lip to remedy a loss of volume. I was aware of the lines but hadn’t understood that the profile of the area above my mouth had suffered with age too. My lips healed and I was impressed by how healthy they looked, naturally plump and in proportion to my features. At rest, my mouth no longer turned down and as a bonus, I no longer had dry skin on my lips.
Last year, I asked Dr Huss for advice about my sagging jawline which was aging me. Getrude went through my options, as always, advising on pros, cons, risks, expected results, downtime and cost. The solution was clear, I opted to have Ultherapy. Dr Huss told me that I would see instant results with more improvements accruing over the following few months. Despite her clear and careful explanation, I was still amazed at how good my jawline looked immediately after the treatment and beyond.
Most recently, I finally had the upper and lower blepharoplasty in the UK. This had made a real change to my appearance and Dr Huss has devoted considerable time to performing a very detailed review of my Botox injections, carefully adjusting them to suit my new contours.
In all the years I've been going to Dr Huss, I've always been happy with my results. You see, Gertrude manages client expectations very well, taking time to explain what to realistically expect. Her assessments are personalised to your own face, and her predictions are always accurate. Dr Huss doesn’t use a lot of inaccessible medical terminology, so I always have a clear understanding of what I'm committing to. But, if you're curious, she's happy to explain mechanism and anatomy, so appointments are often pretty interesting.
I'm certain that if I asked Dr Huss for treatment recommendations, she could suggest several procedures, but she has never tried to sell me a therapy or product. I have always been treated as a client, not as a source of revenue. Indeed, Dr Huss advised against an expensive treatment that I was interested in that she could have performed for me. She gave me a full explanation to support her opinion so that I was sufficiently informed, and I opted not to go ahead. I very much appreciate her honesty and openness; it is part of the reason for my strong trust in her.
