I was able to book my reserved seat easily however I had some trouble retrieving my e-ticket. I was not able to transfer it to my AppleWallet app. Thankfully I saved a copy of it in my Notes File.

Be careful. It is not a scam but a third part company, that don't book the ticket until last minute, speculating with the availability of seats... they are doing a good financial business at the cost of not providing tickets until last minute.
For us it meant they cancelled our tickets the day we were travelling when we were on the station. My assumption is the train company didn't have any more tickets and therefore they weren't able to book it for us.
Pls be careful! I wouldn't recommend it, for any reason.
(I am trying not to include my personal feelings here... imagine our frustration travelling with a baby and being left in the station)

CHARGED OVER 2x THE TICKET PRICE!
I paid $600 for comfort class round trip tickets from Madrid to Granada 6 months in advance. I contacted them 2 months before my trip. They told me I would receive tickets in 2 weeks. 2 weeks later I contacted them again. Still no tickets. Contacted them again & they said don’t worry, they’re coming.
2 weeks before I let for Europe they told me the class of service is not available & the train schedule changed. I told them to go ahead and issue the tickets with a credit for the lower class of ticket. I get the tickets and they are less than $300!!
I ask them why I’m paying double. They say it’s service fees!! I’m irate, so they give me the option of $100 off or €200 in credit (like I’d ever use them again!!).
I take the $100.
I print my tickets. I go to the train station in Madrid 90 minutes ahead of the train time. I look in the board, MY TRAIN IS NOT ON THE BOARD!! I go to the Renfe customer service & they tell me the train time changed and left at 9:15 instead of 11:15 - wellahead of my ticket time!! They said I should have been notified!! I did not get an email or call or anything from High Speed Trains!!
Thank god I had the WhatsApp for our tour guide, so I called her to help and got rebooked on a train that left at 1 pm!!
HIGH SPEED TRAINS IS A DISASTER!! DO NOT NOT USE THEM!!

They charged almost double the price in a ticket. Tried to book directly with Alfa pendular they send you to high speed trains and charged almost double the face value of the tickets. Would avoid Alfa pendular and high speed trains otherwise you pay much more.

SCAM THIEVES AVOID!
We're booked round trip tickets in Dec. 2025 from Barcelona to Madrid for May 5, 2026 and were charge $230, but they change the time around January 2026 and we had to pay an additional $85. Now today, they are telling us the time has changed again and asked us to pay an additional $75. When we declined, they said we were entitle to $85 refund back to our credit card and $204 in a voucher! We are never going to be able to use the voucher so our hard earned money is lost! SCAM! SCAM! THIEVES!

We did receive your initial reservation and later your cancellation request. Even though the booking was made under a Saver tariff, our team still did their best to assist and processed a voucher for that reservation.
Regarding the new booking, part of the payment was originally made using a voucher, so the corresponding amount was returned in the same form.
We always aim to support customers when possible and provide the best possible outcome in each situation. We appreciate your understanding.

Hidden service fee
Upon attempting to make an online reservation with Italo, I inadvertently landed on the website “High Speed Trains.” Consequently, I proceeded with the reservation process and subsequently received my tickets. However, upon reviewing the receipt, I discovered that a 35% service fee had been charged, which was not explicitly mentioned. The ticket price was presented mixed with the service fee as a single amount which is misleading. This isn’t a correct way of doing business. Make sure to book your trip on the main website and you will save a lot of money.
Don’t pay a non sense service fee.

Scam beware
Scam beware. I booked my train ticket with them, paid up in full. One hour later was told that my booking was not processed. Had to do the usual complicated and stressy refund request. Yet to receive refund. If they can't process the booking why take my money in advance? Oh wait, of course...
