After searching for a property for a few weeks, we came across one on Rightmove that was being Let out by Hibbert Homes. I emailed and called and spoke with Julie (Based at Hibbert Homes, Sale). I can not praise Julie enough for how quickly she helped us sort all that was needed for us to apply for the property. She was an absolute pleasure, my partner and myself can not thank her enough for how smooth the the transition was for us.

From the first call until the picking up of our keys, Julie was a delight.

Absolutely awful sales team. Upon viewing a property with Hibbert Homes Stockport we decided to put an offer in. On the Wednesday we were told there were two other offers on the property so we were asked for our best and final offer, which we provided. Late on Wednesday afternoon I received a phone call from Charlie confirming that the vendors had accepted our offer and we needed to provide ID and proof of address, which I sent within the hour. He told me on the phone that he would be out of office until the following Tuesday as he was attending Glastonbury festival. I phoned the next day to arrange a second viewing as my parents hadn’t seen the property and I wanted to measure a few things. This viewing was arranged for Saturday. When we attended the viewing on Saturday we were very confused to learn that there were two other viewings that day, our offer had already been accepted so we were very concerned that this was happening. On Monday I didn’t hear anything, so on Tuesday I phoned to speak to Charlie. I was told that he was on the phone and would call me back. Three hours later, after hearing nothing, I phoned back and spoke to Alex who told me Charlie had gone home as he was feeling “worse for ware” after Glastonbury. I explained the situation (as he had been the one to show us round both viewings) and he said he would speak to Charlie and get back to me. He phoned back around 5 minutes later and told us that there had been a higher offer placed on the property and they were asking for best and finals (which we had already done the week prior). The next day we phoned back and said our offer was staying the same. We received a phone call back from Alex a few hours later saying the vendors had accepted the higher offer and we no longer had the property, to say I was furious was an understatement. Alex kept insisting that this had happened as we didn’t provide solicitors details when asked so they couldn’t officially take it off the market, however we were categorically never asked for these details off of Charlie or any other member of the team. I’m only left to assume that Charlie was in a rush to get off to Glastonbury so didn’t inform us of all the documents we needed to send, and as first time buyers how are we meant to know everything that needs to be provided? I’m also unsure why this sale wasn’t passed on to another member of the team, given that Charlie was off for 4 days, so that everything could have processed as normal.
Overall, this has been the worst service from an estate agent that I have ever dealt with and will be actively avoiding in the future and would advise others to do the same.

I can genuinely say Hibbert Homes have been amazing! Charlie was so helpful, nothing ever too much trouble. Any problem, wasn't a problem! If Charlie said he'd call back .. he did! A totally refreshing experience and I would happily recommend! Thank you

Good prices, and decent service for selling a house.
The rental service was very much focusing on the tenant, not at all protecting the assets of the landlord.
Prices for services of maintenance were above the market, and house was left with broken parts and dirty. Do not reccomend.

I have bought my house from Adrian when he was an employee. I have been using their rental services as a landlord for 4 years now and feel in good and trustworthy hands. Also worth noting that staff is very friendly, helpful and consistent.
