I used CMME for both a legal and mortgage works with the transfer of my rental property from personal ownership into a limited company, and the level of professionalism demonstrated throughout the process was highly exceptional.

The solicitor team (Bernard Arhin from Lawcomm Solicitors and Ashley Saltibus from FDR Law) provided a highly efficient and detail-oriented service, ensuring that all legal aspects of the transaction were handled with precision. They demonstrated a strong understanding of both conveyancing and corporate structuring, clearly explaining implications of the transfer, including stamp duty and regulatory considerations. Communication was consistent and transparent at every stage. Their ability to coordinate seamlessly with mortgage broker ensured that the transaction progressed without unnecessary delays or complications.

Equally, the Mortgage brokesr (Stacey De'Athe and Danielle Richardson from CMME) delivered an outstanding service in arranging the appropriate financing for the company structure. Their knowledge of the limited company mortgage market was evident, and they were able to identify a suitable lender tailored to my specific circumstances. They provided clear advice on all possible options, managed the application process efficiently, and remained proactive in liaising with the lender to ensure all requirements were met. Their responsiveness and attention to detail gave me full confidence throughout what could otherwise have been a complex and stressful process.

What stood out most was the level of coordination between both professionals. The solicitor and broker worked collaboratively, ensuring that the legal and financial elements were fully aligned.

Overall, I would highly recommend CMME for both services to anyone considering transferring property into a business name or buying a property. Their expertise, professionalism, and clear communication made a complex transaction straightforward and well managed from start to finish.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better mortgage broker than Stephen Dumont.

This is the first time we buy a house in UK and we are so worried about the procedures in getting a mortgage. We first found another broker who only gave us very limited choices, telling us that was already all on the market, and always answered enquiries a fews days later. Luckily we met Stephen finally! He is much more informative and sourced more mortgage deals for us which are much better!

One Dome was advertised as being hassle free and a comprehensive package where they’ll work with the solicitors they appoint and make it a seamless transition. It was not.

One Dome appointed Taylor Rose Solicitors who were absolutely terrible. Incorrect information was exchanged multiple times which caused discrepancies upto the week of completion. The solicitors they appointed were rude and despite them meant to be working with OneDome there didnt seem to be any collaboration at all and I was the middle man which really defeats the purpose of the service.
If you do get appointed Taylor Rose you MUST refuse them.

Only giving the extra star because Jamie did a good job on his end, otherwise the experience was an absolute DISASTER. Stressed but completed…

I can highly recommend the mortgage broker I used at CMME, Paul Williams. Having had issues in the past with finding a suitable mortgage due to personal circumstances and during the covid period. He really took out the stress from doing another application. He ended up saving us over £1000 a month in payments. Our Case Manager Helena Grundy was excellent too and kept us informed and took care of the hard work. Both took the stress out of this process. There were some issues at the end which were not the fault of Paul or Helena which they resolved quickly. thank you and will be using again.

OneDome provided a conveyancing firm for me as part of a package including a mortgage advisor.
The conveyancing firm has been shut down a month after my.completion date and the firm did not complete all the actions required. The property has not been registered with the land registry and the first charge has not been done.

OneDome are refusing to pay to rectify this.

I would never ever use OneDome again and recommend anybody else avoids them too.

I regret to say that my experience with OneDome and their partner CMME mortgages, has been overwhelmingly negative. I was drawn in by the promise of a comprehensive and hassle-free service – particularly appealing given the complexities of purchasing a property as a contractor. Unfortunately, the reality fell well short of this promise. From the outset, I was given incorrect advice by the mortgage advisor regarding the rules around breaks between contracts. I was told that the time between contracts was unlimited and would not impact my mortgage application. This turned out to be factually inaccurate and led to significant delays, administrative difficulties, and unnecessary stress further down the line. The conveyancing solicitors (XYZ) recommended by CMME and OneDome appeared disengaged and uncoordinated. They failed to identify and advise on the presence of adjacent social housing – an issue that materially affected my decision-making. Furthermore, they were operating from documentation that differed from that of the developer, leading to key financial details being missed. This resulted in a last-minute demand for funds immediately prior to completion. The much-advertised OneDome online portal, purportedly designed to streamline communication, was not utilised by all parties involved in the transaction. As a result, I found myself in the frustrating position of acting as an intermediary — repeatedly relaying updates to the developer and chasing responses from parties who should have been liaising directly. Perhaps most troubling was the handling of the Home Buyer Service fee. OneDomes' website clearly states that this payment is due only after completion. However, I was informed on the day of completion that the purchase would not go ahead unless the fee was paid immediately. This amounted to coercion and fundamentally undermined the trust I had placed in the service. It also contradicts the stated terms under which the service was sold to me. Since completion, I have raised these concerns with CMME & OneDome. The only response I have received was to deflect responsibility for the solicitors, directing me instead to their formal complaints procedure (a complaint they have since ignored). No meaningful follow-up or accountability has been offered. In summary, I paid a substantial fee for what was marketed as a full-service, client-focused experience. What I received instead was a fragmented, poorly managed, and stressful process — one where I ended up doing much of the coordination myself. Had I known in advance what this service actually entailed, I would have gone elsewhere. I would strongly urge others, especially contractors, to approach with caution and seek alternative providers.

We were on and off with moving for a long time. Ben Goble was great, everytime I got in touch to communicate we were starting the process again, he was ready to start off and helped ensuring we were able to get the property we wanted.
During the process once our offer was accepted Ben was excellent explaining the situation with myself and my husband (who is self employed) to make sure we were ready and prepared with what was needed.
There were a couple of times Ben didn't always acknowledge our emails straight away but his team Lisa Meddings would always help where she could. Sometimes we felt not all options were explained fully, so we ended up changing our mortgage a couple of times to make sure the price was right for us. But overall it was a pleasant experience.
